Buying a first home is supposed to be a joyous, monumental achievement. For me, it turned into an unnecessarily stressful and deeply unpleasant experience, largely due to a complete lack of professionalism, empathy, and communication from the team, particularly the Lennar employee handling the initial process. The very first interaction, which should set an encouraging tone, was instead one of humiliation. While running my numbers, the Lennar representative managed to make me feel "less than"—as if I wasn't worthy of buying a home. This is unacceptable. As a first-time buyer, you already carry a significant amount of anxiety about your finances. To have a professional, whose job it is to facilitate this dream, actively make you feel small or inadequate completely poisons the well. This process is a major life milestone, not a high-stakes interrogation. The complete lack of emotional intelligence shown was appalling and turned what should have been an exciting meeting into a source of personal distress. Once the initial hurdle was cleared, the lack of communication only intensified. It was, and honestly, still is, horrible. Buying a new construction home requires clear, consistent updates—on construction progress, financing deadlines, and closing details. Instead, I faced radio silence, unanswered emails, and the constant stress of not knowing where things stood. I spent more time chasing updates than I did celebrating the fact that I was buying a home. This forced me to live in a state of perpetual anxiety, wondering if the deal was secretly falling apart due to their negligence. The only thing that mattered to the company, it seems, was the successful transfer of funds. "They got their money," and that appears to be the only metric of success they cared about. The human element—the understanding that this was a person achieving a long-held dream—was entirely absent. This was not a pleasant achievement; it was a battle of attrition against poor service. While I ultimately achieved the milestone of homeownership, the journey was so soured by the team's behavior that the victory feels muted and tainted. For anyone considering a first-time purchase with Lennar, be prepared for a purely transactional experience where your feelings and milestones are secondary to the sale. While I now have a home, the process itself was a 1 out of 5 stars. The lack of courtesy, respect, and basic communication turned a moment of triumph into one of frustration and bitter disappointment. I strongly urge future buyers to advocate fiercely for themselves, document every communication (or lack thereof), and not tolerate any employee who makes them feel unworthy. You are the customer, and you deserve a respected, professional, and clear path to homeownership. This was something that I wish was different. I am still going with unanswered questions, answers and lack of. The home is beautiful but the material is not quality. Just putting something on the wall as of tape the paint is coming off and all I am seeing is drywall. A piece of Scotch tape should not do that for your home. The junction box is not mounted in the wall correctly which is unsafe, a city violation and the only way I was able to find this out was by putting a ceiling fan in my home. it looks like it was done all quickly with the lack of. I have a switch that leads nowhere only because there are to 2 negative wires connected to it. So you have to wonder where is the positive line?? In the wall which has me worried but now my money has to be spent on an electrician to come out and take a look at my brand new home to make sure it's safe for my FAMILY. ... More

Lennar was great from the sales person to finance to construction manager. The sales team came back with a great price and we sealed the deal. Finance was responsive and on point. Chris and Holly, I can't say enought. The construction manager was great he was always available after the sale. I would highly recommend Lennar.

Kimberly (Home Consultant) was amazing, answered the phone every time and responded to texts.

It is a great experience with the builder buying a house. I am sure to share my experience with my friends who are planning to buy house in future.

Biggest issue revolved around the Lennar Mortgage loan team. Kept asking for ridiculous amounts of documents and statements. Felt I was bring criminally investigated, and not purchasing a home. Even after the loan closed the loan team asked me for statements. Loan team was very difficult to work with and despite complaints to supervision and management, the loan team kept asking for documents. I had to write a statement why I use my checking account to pay my credit card bills. Far too many regular purchases made by me required the loan team for unreasonable supporting documents.

I would not recommend this builder. Throughout the process, they were unwilling to discuss or accommodate any changes, even reasonable ones. Several mistakes were made during construction, but instead of taking responsibility or working toward a fair solution, they refused to acknowledge them. The closing process was extremely difficult — they pushed to close three months before the original commitment date and showed no flexibility or willingness to work with the buyer. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish.

The mortgage process is long and CUMBERSOME, Over bearing and exceeds info needed for a mtge. bad process.

The whole experience was easy. I am really enjoying my new home and like the neighborhood.

Who ever the architects were they never owned a home. Appliances are cheap for the price you pay for the home. I have issues with my driveway. It’s a cheap pour. I’ve brought it up I’ve received nothing but crickets.

Great property. Buying experience went well and had assistance all along the process. Everyone was very attentive to guiding us through the buying process. House does have some issues to address so proper/thourough inspection recommended. Good thing there is a 1 yr warranty coverage because still dealing with open tickets.

It was a bit of a rollercoaster experience. Lennar team did grewat by trying to make the process simple and easy, but loan officer (Elijah) often went incommunicado. To make matters worse, whenever we had the rare opportunity of reaching out to him, he seemed naive and non-reassuiring, making us filled with so much uncertainty and anxiety. At a point in time, i had the feeling that probably he was new on thre job. Overall, it was a success, but a lot could have been better done.

It was a great experience the carecenter was efficient and quick getting things repaired.

From the first person that showed me the house to all help people that help me along the way, thank you at 68 years old. It was a pleasure dealing with people that had patience and answered all my questions write down to the people that processed my mortgage.

I had a sales & closing team of professionals to assist me with each phase of my purchase. There were a few times when communication lagged, but overall it was fine. The home is solid and it feels safe. I love how the yard is a good size for me. My neighbors are not too close where our homes feel conjoined, yet there is a feeling of community. I will circle back next year with an update.

Devin assisted us in securing our home. We were hesitant due to all the negative reviews we saw and choosing to not have a realtor, but when people say the builder agents are only working in the best interest of the builder, they have not met Devin. She was truly amazing every step of the way. Austin was fantastic during our walkthroughs and Prestin/Customer Service team have responded very quickly to anything that has came up since we moved in a couple months ago. The only thing I can say that I wasn't incredibly pleased with was the lender representative we had, we felt there wasn't a lot of communication but at the end we were happy with the results. We have little to no complaints, even the short interactions I have had with the HOA has been positive. Overall we are incredibly satisfied with Lennar and our home. ... More

i really dont have a good experience during the entire process. unprofessionalism is there. the team is not helpful and giving so much stress and worriedness.

I would avoid Lennar knowing what I know now about the company and quality of their homes. They have admitted to utilizing a fast pace low quality model that I feel lends itself to poor craftsmanship, unaccountability, and a propensity to only be concerned with the bottom line. Simply put, they just don't make quality houses like they use to. When issues came up, I was given the cold shoulder for weeks and told that the warranty doesn't cover the issue that I was concerned about. The entire journey of buying a house from Lennar was nothing less than a dream come true! All of our prayers for what we need were answered in our Waverly home. We started this journey in October 2024 and mentioned all the options we wanted in our new house. Most of them were not available at that time. Because of the real estate market was moving slowly the sale of our existing home was delayed. However, it all worked out. Lennar sales rep listened to our concerns and included those options in the next building phase. We are so excited and pleased with all of the additional options. The walk through repairs were minor and what little we saw were addressed for the most part. We are so for Lennar being brought into our lives! I have a few advice. It would be nice to have the upgraded appliances throughout the gourmet kitchen. The zero entry shower in the master bathroom is super great! A wider shower door opening for easier access would be even greater! I love the way Lennar listens to their customers’ feedback. Please keep up the good work.
