Lennar made the move in and helped ensure all our concerns were meet when purchasing the property.

We purchased this property as an investment and overall it was a great experience. Jacob and the construction manager Andrew were excellent at communicating every detail during construction. Andrew provided updates on all aspects of each phase of the project since we couldn't visit on-site physically. I would definitely recommend Lennar to my friends and family.

Need help with new home repairs

I had a great experience buying a new Lennar home. I appreciate that when issues did come up they were quick to be addressed. Everyone at the Rivington development went above and beyond when needed to ensure my family was well taken care of. I would definitely purchase another Lennar home.

It was 3 weeks from when I saw my house which was already built until I moved in so I consider my experience outstanding

I wanted to bring to your attention what has been one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had in the process of closing a home. I traveled from Atlanta to Spartanburg with my family to attend the acceptance walkthrough and complete the closing the following day. We took two days off from work and booked a hotel stay, intending to celebrate an important milestone. Unfortunately, what should have been a joyful occasion turned into an extremely frustrating and upsetting experience. To begin with, the acceptance walkthrough was poorly handled. There was no greeting or even a simple handshake. We were told it would be completed quickly as all issues had already been addressed and all that was needed was our signature. However, since we had arranged a virtual celebration, I walked through the home and pointed out a few concerns that either required attention or clarification. Specifically: Lawn Condition: The lawn looked dead. I asked for some assurance that it was healthy or that any future issues would be addressed. Washer and Dryer: These appeared to be very basic models. I wanted to confirm whether they matched what was originally promised or if there was a downgrade. Garage and Refrigerator Cleaning: The garage had not been cleaned properly, and there were visible fingerprints on the refrigerator, likely from the installation. When we brought up these concerns, the property manager responded in an extremely rude and unprofessional manner. He accused us—and even our children—of deliberately damaging the property to sabotage the closing. This accusation was both baseless and offensive. At no point were we alone in the house. We were wearing socks during the walkthrough, and my daughter remained in the car with our pet, as pets are not allowed inside. We had no reason whatsoever to interfere with the process, especially given the time, travel, and effort we had invested to ensure everything went smoothly. When we expressed our objection to this behavior, the property manager asked us to leave and slammed the door in our face. We did not re-enter the home after that. Frankly, many people in our position might have walked away from the deal altogether. However, despite this treatment, I still proceeded with signing the acceptance documents from my car parked outside, simply to avoid any further delays or inconvenience—for your sake and ours. To make matters worse, we were informed 2-3 hours before that the closing had been moved to August 8th. Had this change been communicated earlier, we could have avoided the travel and time off from work. This entire experience is in stark contrast to the home we purchased from another builder like Pulte, where everything was handled with professionalism, respect, and clear communication. Overall, the experience here felt poorly managed and completely unprofessional. I would like to formally escalate this matter to the highest level. Jason and Maria were definitely a pleasure to work with Carlos also was very professional all of them are valuable assets to lennar I'm definitely recommending lennar to people I know I think the HOA fee is way over priced and should be lowered a few people I tried to refer to said no to the offer simply because of the HOA fee

Overall the buying experience was your typical one…Nothing special. However I would not recommend Lennar Homes as their workmanship and quality of materials used are extremely poor. I have found holes where they didn’t bother fixing because they covered it up with equipment or other items. Homes are built so fast that there is no possible way to have it deemed even sub-par. The electrical wiring is not copper…It’s just wrapped with copper such that when a wire is pulled it simply snaps. Lennar uses the most cheapest material they can find from the quartz countertop (and it’s a mix of quartz and a less quality material) to their wiring and equipment. Even the shower tiles look like they’re from the 1990s! 12”x12” tiles ugly beige tiles! Really??? Don’t recommend buying a Lennar Home. ... More

The Homebuying experience was terrible specially the financial approval process. IWe had a lot of issues with the loan process . We put 2/3 for downpayment and we really thought that was enough. The questioning of where we got our funds for downpayment to money paid on our debt even with records we provided were not enough. I guess the only positive thing for me came from the credit report not having my social security right. The prove of accounts that were not mine was troublesome . I went out of the Country to prove that those accounts showing in my credit report were not mine. After talking to a few neighbors that went thru the same I said well I was not the only one. Very disappointed and dissatisfied with how my signing and how I was treated threw that process.

Great home buying experience since the very first online contact. Lennar staff support and responsiveness very fast and assertive. Lennar apps make life easier. Closing date and home availability on time. Lennar sales, construction manager and mortgage teams were great. 5 stars.

They are very quick about the few little things I’ve had questions on. They get back to you very quickly when I’ve put in a request

everyone involved in the home buying and inspections process was very helpful and responded in a very timely manner

Very smooth and no surprises

we’ve been in our home for a little over a month and so far we’ve been well pleased. It is a simple tract home but we’ve done several adds to make it our own. It would have been nice if there was a loop on the water line to make the installation of a water softener more convenient. The buying process was simple and straightforward al the way through the closing. I’ve reached out to Lennar on a couple of occasions about some small issues and they were very responsive.

Overall all of the people that we worked with were very knowledgeable and helpful. We had a few minor issues to deal with, but nothing significant, and in each case everyone was very responsive, and went out of their way to ensure we were satisfied. For sure would recommend Lennar to others!!

My overall experience was great! I had some really great people helping me through the process. I did have a few issues with the house once I moved in. Dishwasher not working and roof leaking in light fixture in the bathroom. Roof was taken care of quickly. Going on 2 months and dishwasher is still not working.

I have had a great experience from start to finish with LENNAR. All my questions were answered promptly. I was always informed as updates came in. Friendly faces and great. Customer service was above average.

I say poor workmanship & oversight because so many of the issues are related to an untrained workforce. Simply stupid things: leftover carpet padding kernels under the carpet, so there are chunks of unevenness noticeable when you walk on the carpet in your bare feet; same with subfloor fasteners not set fully that you feel through the carpet; extremely poor caulk quality called out during the walk through, made worse when corrected; garage door track misaligned causing the door to warp; garage door weatherstrip short by 3+ inches; refusal to paint the wood truss portion that is visible in attic windows; refusal to allow inspections predrywall (I understand why now); doors that overlap improperly and different location than model and in plans; cracked window frame; inoperable window sash; electric to AC unit left too long laying in dirt- just poor oversight of under qualified workers. I would add Lennar's Mortgage Company offers a nice buydown, but they contact you nearly daily with new things to sign- very frustrating. ... More

I was very surprised to get a great price for the size of a newly constructed home. However, after just the first week of moving in, I had to place 7 warranty claims on defects for certain materials. For example, it has been over a month and I am still have not received a new lock for my front door!
