I love my house, the workmanship is great but I am very disappointed that the swimming pool will not be installed until the summer or 2021 when I was told it would be built by 2020. Management has not reached out to make accommodations for us to perhaps utilize nearby facilities until the pool is place. Also there has been a recent decrease in the value of townhomes in Grand Bees which is very disconcerting.
Lennar responded:
HI Susan, thank you for your feedback about the swimming pool in your community, as well as your property value concerns. We are sorry to hear about this. Please feel free to contact us at corporatecustomercare@lennar.com with any details you would like us to review for you. – Lennar Customer Care

Was good until closing

We were happy with how things were going until the last two weeks to close. The Lennar rep dropped the ball and made it stressful. The punchlist items were not completed until the morning we closed. We didn’t get the Welcome Home banner or rug rolled out made us feel like just a number. And lastly there still are no street lights and it gets dark at 5pm was told these would be hooked up 2 weeks ago.

Average experience. Closed on a new construction home almost 2 months ago. Sales office wasn’t particularly great at communicating, nor was the loan officer and processor team. Lennar is building at a furious rate and likely running their staff into burnout but I am not a first time home buyer and felt better attended to in previous experiences, none with Lennar. I don’t have any glowing praise to offer. The 1 year warranty inspection will tell the true story of the build quality, which in Lindera does not have a stellar reputation thus far. They did hold to the closing schedule which I ...

Would not buy from them again. Lots of things wrong, from windows that won’t open to gaps in the crown mounding. Not to mention the closing was delayed 5 weeks due to forgotten steps with the city. Made my first home-buying experience very upsetting.

The workmanship on this house is ridiculous. There is paint on the carpet, clumps of caulking everywhere, careless installation of the water lines, paint splattered on the floors….honestly, I could go on and on. The response to my work repair requests have been great so far.

Look for another builder besides Lennar
- Michael S.

The Good: Lennar is a quick builder. The Bad: The home quality is not the best. There are some things done great, like the master bath and the gourmet kitchen. However a gourmet kitchen consist of a gas range top and a stainless exhaust hold. And the gas top was left unmounted and slid around the first time we cooked on it. Had to have that fixed properly. Understand these are spec homes with a 40 day start to finish turnaround. As you can imagine, this is a quantity over quality home build. Make sure you order your own home inspection prior to your first walkthrough ...

Its like buying a used car, over promise under deliver and the process is unnecessarily painful
- Brady I.

- Summerville, SC
We love the floor plan of the house, general layout an functions. We love the neighborhood too which is why we bought Lennar. Aside from those the experience was painful and exhausting. The amount of quality control I had to do on their work is unreasonable. Rarely could they provide straightforward answers and if something wasn't right they didn't have a path to escalate issues. You have to go find executives to complain to yourself. The design and marketing teams are top notch. They get you in the door and so excited but when it comes to sales and building you realize delivering is not ...

very nice community but the nearest school for my kids to attend is over 30 mins away and estimated bus drive is 1.5 hours. If we needed to pick up or drop off our kids it would consume over 2 hours a day spent driving. If you have kids that need to attend school do not move here. also the infrastructure has not been addressed. One builder is dropping 700 homes and the roads are single lane each way. This area is going to be a mess for several years until the growth catches up to the homes being built.

Sod was laid dominant at the time. Once growth began weeds popped up. I was told nothing could be done. Also the sod was supposed to be rolled and two after close still not done . When the lawn service cuts they are making ruts and tearing up loss sod. Ruining the lawn!!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I’m sorry you aren’t satisfied with how the sod turned out. If this is still under warranty, please submit a warranty request online through your Lennar Account. This ensures your request is documented and prioritized for a prompt resolution.

Kevin is horrible. Lennar mortgage ran my social security number without my consent. I had told Kevin that I had my one lender but he would not listen. I felt like he took advantage of me because I was a single mom doing this on my own.

Although we appreciate that Lennar pushed to meet our established closing date, it was at the expense of the quality and completion of certain items. We are now 4-5 months post closing and still have items unfinished. Our construction manager essentially abandoned us and it's been extremely difficult getting things fixed via the warranty group. We love the house but this did not go the way it should have.

We love the home despite the fact that we are still having to deal with punch list issues prior to closing now that we’ve been in the home for 4 months. The Lennar agent our realtor worked with was not trustworthy come to find out on things we were told early on when we decided to buy. Lennar management is horrible! I wouldn’t ever seek out to work with this builder ever again.

Lennar personnel promised to resolve quality/warranty issue within 30 days of closing on our house on 30 September 2019. After delays, and in some cases, multiple attempts by Lennar appointed technicians, we still have lingering issues with exterior doors. We also submitted a Lennar warranty ticket on a cracked countertop in our master bathroom that still is not resolved. The exterior doors have had added added in various places around each door that look terrible and have not solved the door sealing issues. We've had nothing but problems since the day of closing when we walked in for final review and none of the issues had been corrected. I could give a whole list of issues and problems that almost 5 months in we are still trying to get taken care of. Seems like every time we get one resolved, another issue shows up. I wouldn't recommend them.

Seems like sales was not interested in our needs; just getting homes off the books. If we were told that they were having a sales event in July, we would have waited. We wanted the Waverly & got the largest home we could afford, the Osprey. We didn't know some of the larger homes may have a bonus room upstairs; didn't know that the there were more homes available other than the models. Would have liked to have brought our pool table, but sold because no room in Osprey. Sales person said when we do a Reverse to Purchase, would only have to put down half as much...LIE...ended up having to put ...

I definitely would like to arrange an inspection by leadership to see the overall work performed in my NEWLY BUILT home, especially by GMT. Specifically, with the trash found inside the walls, we reported to Leadership. And that it was found after they had to remove the shower wall for replacement less than a month after closing. And many other less-than-satisfactory issues we have endured. The quality of craftsmanship being witnessed is borderline criminal.

Just as any buying experience when before after you say yes and give them the down payment to commitment, they fall Over themselves to “be there for you”. The s day you sign you’ll never hear from anybody you saw before again! The lender from Lennar didn’t know what he doing and I got emails from him requesting the same material even after I had closed. At closing, the keys my new home were mysteriously “lost”. I went to my new home with no keys. I had to stop at the sales office for the agent on duty to give me the standard key to open the house. Finally, after three days, they told me ...
