New Build

Issues were not addressed promptly, corners were cut on quality and some pieces were thrown together and not built correctly, like the island in the kitchen. The best part about this process was the sales person, Penny!

Buying process not professional from product presentation to Lenard PM at final inspection to closing at law firm.

Lennar seriously needs to look at there home buying process from the bottom up. Sales people need to know more about the product their selling, I had an independent inspection done of the newly constructed house many incompleted items, a lot code related. Some where corrected then PM said he would correct remaining issues himself after settlement. Off the record never seen PM since. If this is the way Lennar does business it’s no surprise the sued all the time. There the reason production builders get a bad reputation. If Lennars PM (Lou) dot return as promised to finish my unfinished punch ...

Project Manager Doesn’t manage- Poor workmanship

  • Ashley F.

Beware of purchasing a home through Lennar. Unfortunately, the project manager does not manage their jobs. Contractors are getting away with crooked walls, drainage issues, poor workmanship, grading issues, etc. They will make excuses and not fix them. The project manager may even get in your face and try to threaten you. Poor purchasing experience! I will never purchase another Lennar home!

My husband and I had been sharing our concerns to the building team and even the Lennar Realtor . Closing date several items were still not complete and the house was not even power washed. the upstairs porch was dirty. Until now they kept saying they are coming to address this issues and had not been here yet. We closed in April

Extremely frustrating process with follow up items on punch list items. Significant issues found before closing and was pushed to close and was told items would be completed but are still not and we’ve been in the house for nearly 60 days. Poor quality of work, was clearly rushed to complete. Price was significantly dropped before closing otherwise would not have purchased the home at the original list price. Extremely happy with the location and neighborhood.

I have many outstanding items on my punch list--such as my deadbolts don't work. a cabinet door is damaged, poor shelving has left holes in the wall and the subs they want to send out only work Monday-Friday from 8-4 and are totally impossible to book. It is a nightmare. I took the day off work and the folks came to fix the deadbolts and they brought the wrong equipment-- meaning I have take another day off work with no consideration of my time and danger in living in a house with inoperable dead bolts. Do not sign the closing papers until everything is fixed. They DO NOT uphold their ...

We closed a month late (weren't told till the day we were supposed to close by the builder). I get that happens. Didn't have a pre-close walkthrough. No closing celebration. Closed with an open punchlist of items that STILL aren't fixed and it's been more than two months. Had multiple conversations with multiple people and constantly getting the run around. If everything was done right, we would LOVE the house. But the quality (or lack of) shows through in just about everything

When you’re spending this much money on a brand new home, you don’t expect to have to do 2-3 months of repairs right when you move in, but that’s what had happened with us, even though we have been discussing these issues, and bringing up issues as the house was being built. Not only was our home delayed and not done correctly, the craftsmanship was HORRIBLE, and no one showed up to our closing. Lennar did not follow their own schedule that they sent us for closing, did not communicate when they didn’t show up for their own set appointments, warranty never spoke to us, even after rescheduling ...

Love our home but the workmanship and attention to detail is not good especially for the price we paid. Totally feel taken advantage of and Lennar has not been responsive at all. Our construction manager did not do a great job and was MIA with most of all of our problems during the process. Again, beautiful home but not a great experience at all.

I will highly advise any new buyer to get their own finance, Lennar finance department is a joke!! We almost walked towards the end because they couldn’t get on the same page between their own company! Building department is ok, I definitely suggest visiting your property during construction as much possible! We bought from out of town and I wish I would’ve been able to walk the property at least biweekly, could’ve save a lot of headaches and problems I now have to deal with, bad tile cuts and grout, lots of drywall issues and a lot of trim not finished properly among other things!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. The Lennar sales rep that we had gave off "manager's son" vibes. He was never at work so we never met him and every time we called he was doing some not work related activity during work hours. He got extremely frustrated with us when we took a few extra hours to review the one-sided sales contract and then took as long as he please because he was "driving horses down to Georgia." No sensitivity to the fact that we had concerns and were first-time homebuyers. Every time he called our phone, I got nerves in my stomach because he always felt like the villain in our story. Great floorplan and neighborhood, Horrible customer service

This was one of the most stressful processed I have been through. If we hadn't loved the floorplan and neighborhood I would have walked away from a $15K deposit. To say that communication was terrible is putting it lightly. It was essentially nonexistent. I sent 100s of emails that went completely ignored and unanswered. Our sales rep deliberately misled us to calm us down when we were really exhausted from the process. While he didn't outright lie he did mislead and showed highly unethical service. We were delayed time and time again. They even pushed our closing on the day of closing with ...

I would highly recommend you get a plan, with dates on paper from Lennar. The weekly status updates were in the form of a phone call and if it wasn't for my notes from those, there would be zero accountability. We faced numerous delays which is to be expected with a new build but hit a series of catastrophic issues as we got closer to the close date. If Lennar would just be honest and pro-actively communicate the schedule and any change of schedule, it would help alleviate a lot of the frustration allowing home buyers to better plan for their move.
