Would not do it again

While I like my home, there are several things that would make me not do it again. The inflexibility of when walk-throughs were scheduled was awful. No respect for the fact people work and are out of state. The house generally a nice house but the carpet used is cheap. I have terrible visible seems in every room. The bathroom vanity’s have no storage whatsoever. I would think with a house at this price point you it would be better, especially in the master. The area we have to get our mail is awful. Due to it being near so much construction, you can not go during the day or early evening. ...

The sales person was great, builder not so much

Andy, our sales person, was great. We felt at ease with him during this purchase. We were disappointed when he was moved to another neighborhood because we felt we'd be out of sight and out of mind when it came to questions during the build. Andy still communicated with us regularly and advocated for us , even remotely. Unfortunately the person responsible for our build wasn't as good. He answered our requests and questions with answers he was unable or unauthorized to do. If we asked "can you do this...?" in our house, he'd say yes, then it wouldn't happen. When we continued to ask for ...

Our project manager was great to work with and very helpful since we were moving in from out of state. The warranty team has been a challenge to work with. They are very dissmissive and will not answer your questions directly.

This is the 3rd New home I’ve purchased in the past 20 years. As a Military Veteran this was by far the worst attention to detail home I have owned. Wall outlets not all equal, carpets were dirty and full of saw dust. Professional cleaning not done. Walls have curves, windows not equal widths, air vents not in an enclosed bathroom, no air vent at the top of stairs where there’s a window. Pretty much these construction managers are slapping these homes together and not ensuring every detail is correct. For a $500K home, I expected better. Definitely not my forever home. Will look to a new ...

The first home we were purchasing there was a mistake on the paperwork and they wouldn’t do anything about it. So we lost the house and they were nice enough to transfer our money to the new home but they failed to tell us that the property was not level and only that it was a little larger and that they would not do anything about it. Then when we had the first walk through we told them about some items and they told us they would have them fixed by the time the final inspection was complete but they lied about it and told us they had them fixed and or replaced but they lied to us again. ...

Trim, paint and other final details of the “completed” home showed almost zero quality control. Oversprayed paint, poor paint coverage, dented, dinged and warped door jambs and trim.

We were told when buying the house that the community pool and clubhouse would be built soon.5 months later they ate just starting. With temperatures in the 90,s now and no place to use a pool things are not pleasant.

Globs of cement all over garage floor. Globs o f cement between garage floor and beginning of driveway and a 2 inch height difference between garage floor and driveway leading to myself and guests tripping (very dangerous). Hardware missing on door lock to back porch. Masterbath shower drain corroded with tile red and white plaster :(totally unsightly). Cement splattered all over trim of outside garage door and all along front of garage where floor meets driveway, etc. One thumbs up nice quality kitchen appliances.

The roads are so narrow when the construction team comes in they block my driveway and for som reason don't park alongside the cub near the house they are building! The junk yard in the back of my house is louder than I thought it was going to be.

Quality depends on which crew constructs your new home. Differs from first floor to second floor if you have different teams or different levels of supervision.

An element of luck as to the final of the house is involved.

Overall we love our new home. The only hiccup that we’ve run into is that we have a sprinkler system but yet no one has really taught us how to use it. Like buying any home, dealing with the paperwork was a bit of nuisance. Be prepared to search through everything in order to provide underwriting what they need. To me it was about over the top and at times frustrating. At one point we felt as though our Lennar sales rep was not being very honest with us. We love the home that we’re in but technically it was our second choice. When we approached our sales rep about our first choice, ...

New in this home -- Concrete work, bathroom counters subpar

I love the floor plan. Lot is a little less desirable. Some material defects, they are addressing so far. A lot of concrete defects in the short-time in this neighborhood. A review in 6 months would be better served. Being in home 2 months is really not a lot of time to see what issues pop up and how they respond.

Please be aware when dealing with Lennar. You have to constantly reach out regarding the home & updates as to when closing is. On the day of closing, it was a horrible experience due to lennar mortgage waiting till the last min on getting paperwork together and etc. Amanda with lennar mortgage made our home buying experience a disaster and I would not recommend. Please have y’all ducks in a row before getting to the closing table. Tate, & Brad were great with the actual home building updates.

We HIGHLY recommend that you do NOT try and go with the insurance agency that Lennar recommend. Lennar Insurance Agency. They were rude, would not return texts or phone calls and would not insure us unless we paid for a full home inspection even though if was a brand new build and we found this out on the day that we closed. So We were without insurance for a few days because we had to find a local insurance agent (we are not from the area so we had NO idea where to get I insurance) We did enjoy working with our rep that sold us the house.

There are several things that I feel like could have made our experience in building with Lennar so much better and wouldn’t in my opinion have been all that hard to accommodate. For instance we weren’t allowed to change anything about the options in the house and they hadn’t even broke ground yet. We asked to be given color options for the exterior color and was denied even a set option of colors, we were denied being able to add a few outlets in the pantry, we were denied option of what type of paint(instead of using the garbage flat paint). The reason was they already had everything set ...
