This was our second purchase of a home with Lennar. This go round I was a little more disappointed than the first time to be honest. The builder the home was very smooth until drywall started going up. Several issues that were pointed out with drywall and paint whenever fixed. The major issues with our hot water stack was resolved which I’m very thankful for it.

It’s nice company and good price

Make sure all issues are closed before closing. Expect to spend 10% (paint, kitchen pantry wire mesh, doors) more on fixing poor quality related work. Extremely pleased with the layout of the house including linen closet space. Excellent warranty service provided by Kelly, superfast and responsive.

We like the house models in Lennar and they use to response very quickly. We are enjoying the new home , please provide better quality

We really enjoyed working with Joe. He was the real face of Lennar for us. Always took the time to explain things and respond to calls and texts in a reasonable amount of time. I would work with Joe again and refer him to friends and family who are looking for a home!

The house is very complete besides options.

Only issue is the abysmal site prep and landscaping on our lot. We have a pronounced drop off/slope in our backyard. We were advised that some basic ground covering could be expected come spring. Unfortunately all that appeared was clover and an assortment of weeds and nuisance grasses. Two trees were planted which didn’t didn’t survive to spring. Please be aware that Lennar does NOT provide any warranty on grass, plants, or trees after closing. If you have any concerns about greenery be sure to address those before you close.

The home buying and building process was easy and pretty smooth overall. Lennar was pretty good about keeping me updated, addressing any questions I had, and addressing any issues that came up during the process. Have minor issues with dings and imperfections with paint/trim/molding finishes. A few minor issues popped up after closing and they were pretty responsive and quick to fixing those issues. One major pain point I am having issues with is in regards to landscaping, I have several dead patches throughout my lawn. Whoever Lennar used for landscaping laid down sod directly top of construction debris which prevents grass from properly rooting, I don't have to dig more than an inch on several dead spots to find fist-sized rocks or large chunks of cement directly underneath the sod. I wish they would've done their due diligence in properly laying down sod or at least rectify the issues after the fact. Lennar still builds the best home for the money in Waxhaw NC, but they need to get their act together on quality of work and ease of working with customers. My main suggestion is always pay the extra $500 to your personal home inspector for a complete report even though its a brand new house.

Building process went great with my builder, Clayton. After closing follow up has been difficult. Current construction in the neighborhood has trench my yard over and over, blocked my driveway on multiple occasions and I have had two flat tires driving through the neighborhood. My advice is to not buy when the neighborhood is still in process. The builder does not respect the already losed homeowners.

We love the community we’re in. Overall, the home is solid, but quality of some materials could be improved. Dry wall and trim work need more attention to detail. The one area of disappointment for us was flooring options. Only three choices to choose from and one of those was carpet (no way). Lennar offers what they offer and anything you want to add or make changes to is on you with after market costs.

Could’ve provided more information about land slopes due to drainage prior to construction.

We're enjoying the new home but there are a few things that we wish were done differently. First, for the price paid, there should be a sprinkler system installed. The majority of lawns in the neighborhood have died and we had to have someone trench our new lawn to install a system after the fact. At a minimum, it should be a paid option. The fescue breed grass is a cool weather grass that requires a lot of water. Second, the green space behind our home looks like a wasteland and it's been that way for almost a few years according to neighbors. Landscaping and irrigation needs to be installed as promised. There are community infrastructure components that were major selling points for us including the jogging trail around the neighborhood and connection to the green way. Currently there are random pieces of sidewalk missing around the neighborhood which interrupt bike riding for the kids and are dangerous. Install a recirculating pump for tankless hot water heater. Water in SC is extremely costly. The backyard I was left with is a cliff with an 80 degree grade ( we are in our 70s not able to enjoy the yard) otherwise we are enjoying the house.

Landscaper used shoddy sod and put down a summer sod in winter.

We are very pleased with our Lennar home. The house is great so far. However, the community center is FAR too small for the number of homes. There will be about 400 homes but only space for a party of about 10-15 people. Lennar was too cheap to build a bigger, better center. We have also had many issues with the grass and land outside. The sod and front bushes were placed on rocks and are dying already (after only a couple months), but lennar doesn’t include the yard in their warranty.

The home we bought from Lennar is perfect for us to downsize into. The floor plan is perfect for empty nesters. Lennar did provide a lot of extras for the price of the house. For the most part Lennar has responded to issues we have. One area that we have been ignored on is the grading in the back of the house. I feel there is a low area that needs attention but have not been able to get them to respond even after sending pictures of ponding. Nail popping on the walls is not considered a warranty item. I do wish builders would use screws to install sheetrock inside the house to avoid the issue of nails popping out in the walls. I believe most builders take the same approach. Before closing house was not deeply cleaned. Issues with land scaping. Rain water damaged the backyard two times. Not sure about the future. They did not give any sample of colors.

The home buying experience went well and was easy. The quality isn't exactly what we expected. There are dents, dings, flaws, and stains throughout. The carpet was placed in the home much too early in the process and was handed over to us with clay stains throughout. Two toilets were covered in urine from the construction workers, and the primary shower was not clean. The house just felt dirty when we moved in. That was disappointing. There hasn't been any follow up with anyone on the team either since escrow closed. This isn't the experience we expected from Lennar. We're hopeful the flaws are only cosmetic. Home building process and updates are on point. How ever if you raise any issues with them make sure you follow up constantly and ask them to call you for inspections. They build towards a time deadline towards the end so you might end up with lot of cosmetic issue. make sure you take an experience person for home walk through.

Great experience, very professional builder!

For the most part good. However, the floor has some anomalies. Not even in all locations and caulking in bathroom is cracking. Finally, no instructions on operation of dishwasher. The dishwasher had no warranty information and appears to have been installed incorrectly. When dishwasher door is closed it is not straight. The whole thing with the dishwasher seems to be a lack of detail.
