Loan officer fail

Since I don’t have an any good words about the loan officer(s) that were assigned to me. I will say the managers and underwriting team ans well ans the crew who did walk the through and inspection ,especially the onsite rep who was phenomenal. They made this experience so much better than after the shamockery with loan officers and this played a part in the score and success of a close.

The salesman that we had was horrible. It was nearly impossible too get in touch with him. It's too much too write but the people that we dealt with at the end were wonderful.

Couldn't ask for a better and helpful person than David in the sales office, very responsive, very caring individual

Communication from the mortgage branch was spotty, didn't know I was approved for a loan until just a few days before closing, after more than five months of back and forth. Pleased with the home itself other than the landscaping, sod was put down in a haphazard manner, large gaps still prevalent, a rough ride for any type of mower--very disappointing

Home build schedule met rexactly

Lennar uses limited flexibility in options/changes approach to hold schedules tightly. That's good thing as you know it up front. On the downside, our house required significant effort to make it livable due to Lennar cost cutting : no towel racks, inadequate closet hardware, no light fixtures, etc. We had several minor quality issues, all of which were quickly fixed with the help of the Lennar customer support rep. And the "smart" home features are really nice!

Move in was delayed 2 months due to error in design

Move in was delayed due to not passing inspection for foundation. Was delayed 2 months and due to scrambling to move the date back up after we were told it would be a 3 months delay we was forced to pay a per diem fee while we waited for the appraisal, since they moved the move in date up on us last minute

I purchased a new construction D. R. Horton property in June 2018. I decided to upgrade to a larger home and purchased a Lennar home in November 2019. The longer I live in the Lennar home I realized D. R. Horton is a better quality builder. The Lennar quality is just not there. The drywall is so thin you can't hang a lightweight picture without reinforcement. The wood flooring has several chips in places my family and I could not have damaged it. For example behind the toilet in the half bath. The ceiling still shows major flaws, corners of walls, not really corners have curves. The lawn is ...

Really didn’t have contact. We were out of state during the building process and was only sent one set of pictures to update progress.

The process was difficult due to being out of state. Accommodations were made to allow for signing because of our situation in MICHIGAN because of my shoulder surgery and having to live in separate housing to accommodate my recovery and have a place for our dogs. Overall we got it done and everyone was accommodating. As for the house, we were very disappointed with the finishes in the home. Due to my surgery, I was not able to attend the walk thru, my son attended instead. Painting quality was poor. Door casing that were cut too short and not caulked, chips on door cases, paint drops, ...

Home purchase was straightforward but issues occurred which required multiple follow-ups. A solid house however design features were not changeable to customize house to buyer. Amenities were not shown to buyer but alluded to in literature and lacking in important areas such as beach access for community on the lake.

Lennar - Lennar is not good at communicating.

Lennar is not good at communicating. There was no contact that wasn’t initiated by me, even when there are problems with the build or closing. And even when I did hear from them, they frequently didn’t provide all the information needed/required. I am happy with the house but feel like many of my grey hairs can be tied directly to trying to get Lennar to tell me what was going on with the house.

I am experiencing some poor craftsmanship on the house. Some of the items that were completed for the punch list were done poorly. After the side walk was removed the yard was not graded very well and had several leaks in the irrigation system. I am having difficulties with the HVAC cooling the house properly. I have hundreds of small flies that get in at night and they cannot seem to know where they are coming in. The person that came in with the window and door company was worthless. Overall I am not sure how I feel about my experience. I hope it improves. Benita has done an exceptional ...

All of the door locks have issues constantly. Yu have to slam the door to get one to work and then try to get the other one to latch after that. It's a constant irritation! If things need to be level, this will drive you crazy. There are multiple areas that just aren't level, the bathroom countertop slants down and if you put anything down that has a chance to roll, it will roll off. Clearly the trim paint used in the model is MUCH different than what you get. The master bathroom fan constantly sounds like you have dripping water coming down. They have been good about responding to issues, ...

Overall experience is just "ok". If I had the option, I would have chosen a different builder. Complete mess, from the Lennar mortgage (waited 3 hrs during the closing) to home automation (water shut off, door bell video), which was described as a key differentiation from other builders but then wasn't on my home, and when I queried Lennar policy, they said they no longer supply automatic water shut off.

Getting major issues repaired or replaced has been grueling! The mortgage loan process was equally frustrating and personnel were negligent in either responding on time or did not communicate professionally and sometimes found fault with us. we were forced into a closing where a few major construction items were questionable. We did not receive our final closing document until we were sitting in lawyers office so we delayed transfer of funds for a day and then threatened that we would not get keys for property until wire confirmed. then the next day as money transfer was being ...

Lennar's salesman sold us a different floorplan then the one he represented to us. His mistake was our loss. Lennar refused to make us whole. They simply offered our deposit back on the home but offered no other recourse.

Lennar - The houses are built quickly.

The houses are built quickly. The 8’ wood doors and 10’ ceilings are very nice. The trim is wide with an updated look. The house has lots of quality windows with windowsills. Lennar kitchens are roomy with a big islands and lots of counter space. The downside of Lennar homes is the drywall finishing and painting in certain areas. Quality paint is not used and some areas need repainting.
