I have found more than enough issues with the build of this home. Today I needed to get something from behind my drive that fell. What do I know it's a hole in the wall begins the active. Cabinets busted up and stove wobbly on a piece of cardboard! Not only that but I cannot get the stove back in its place because it is so crooked. The reason my husband and I chose Lennar for our recent home purchase in Inman SC was based on a prior experience with purchasing a Lennar home in Summerville SC in 2017. Every person we interacted with back then was sincere, thorough and pleasant. It was such a smooth process. Our experience this go around has been the opposite. We bought our first home in SC with DH Horton and thought they needed to improve their craftsmanship, but Lennar has them beat two fold!! It was a negative experience commencing with the home orientations == closing had to be pushed back because of the inadequacy in the non-completion and sloppiness in construction, overlooking details we asked to be fixed and just plain ignoring before closing! Our experience with Lennar has been terrible. There was very poor communication throughout the entire building process. When issues would come up, blame would be cast on other members within Lennar with no sense of accountability. The work within the house was lazy. Our walkthrough with the warranty manager was the worst customer service we have ever had to deal with. We received many excuses that any issues were not real problems. There have been several minor issues that have been resolved quickly. We paid too much for the house because the housing market was crazy when we signed our contract and we were on a waitlist for a while. Now there are several houses for sale right around us. Timing is everything in the housing market. The biggest complaint I have is standing water in our yard after the house next door was completed and water runs down into our yard and pools. The water doesn’t stay long enough for Lennar to consider it a warranty issue with the grading though, so I guess we will have to live with it and ...

The entire purchase and customer service experience was awesome. I found the staff from salesperson to project manager to warranty rep to be very professional and trust worthy. Lennar hires excellent people. The home was completed on time with just a few minor issues that were addressed promptly and thoroughly. I would highly recommend purchasing a home from Lennar.

Once you sign your contract, you become just antother number to Lennar, from the Sales Center to the Construction Foreman. They are not forth coming with information, progress updates are elementary at best. The management team is more concerened about the "sticks in the air" than they are about your home. Also, tell your buyers agent to read their contracts too, make sure they get paid on the whole house and not just the "base price" of the ho,e The sales contracts and all the addendums ore to protect the seller, not the buyer. Don’t buy Lennar! There is obviously no supervision during construction and if provided no experienced construction managers. Absolutely NO CONCERN FOR QUALITY! They constantly try to fix items that were not installed properly (I.e.) doors, especially exterior doors instead of removing and reinstall properly or replace. It is sad that Lennar accepts the butcher quality of work provided by their sub-contractors. We didn’t get what we paid for! All my neighbors feel the same way!

I requested for appraisal two weeks before closing they never disclosed until the day before closing. Lennar disclosed low appraisal just the day before closing and asked me to pay the difference or to walk out leaving the pre advance paid. Very bad experience overall

My biggest disappointment is the workmanship. Sloppy messy and destructive. I expected a much cleaner final walkthrough. Fiberglass showers all had what I assumed(mistake) was clay and would wash away. Clearly workers stepped in them with cleats that gouged and left orange spots that don’t come out. Had it been cleaned better I would have known that. Don’t feel rushed. Walk through and spend time. Lennar, you are only as good as the workers you hire. Construction managers need to check sites more often and expect more.

We were tired of playing the game of looking for existing houses for sale after only a few weeks. Most were only on the market for 48 hours or less. We heard Lennar was building in an established neighborhood and had a few lots ready to put on hold. We saw the product and the value for the money was way better than anything else. It took a little over a year from the day we signed the contract until closing. We are enjoying the home and the area so much. Once the build started the process was fast.

For the most part, we are very happy with our Lennar home. We feel it was well built and we love our kitchen appliances. Our biggest disappointment is with the flooring. We were required to choose engineered wood, with only 3 color options. The floor had a bad spot when we moved in and has yet to be resolved. We have no children or pets, yet already have numerous scratches and nicks. It’s very disappointing. There have been multiple construction issues requiring call backs for the installers which should have been taken care of before the move in. Wall tile was disposed of in the shower drain resulting in a complete blockage and causing water to leak under the shower pan and walls. It has been 4 week waiting to complete repairs. The warranty staff has been great responding to all issues but very frustrating and time consuming waiting for the installers to repair issues.

Lennar has good customer service and communication. The subcontractors however are poor quality and the workmanship throughout the house is poor. We are having to put in too many warranty requests already for a brand new house because so many things are wrong and poorly done.
