Sales great then it all falls apart

We were already renting in the community so we knew what style house we wanted and were pretty particular on color and location. Our sales director was amazing, he kept us posted on everything and helped to get our house color changed even after they originally said no. Dealing with the mortgage coordinator then was a challenge. She would request information and if you asked a follow up-it would be days before a response. We were looking for a one floor home with a front porch that had a big kitchen and a big back overhang with a patio. This house came with a lot of storage for our necessities. It's a great neighborhood that is close to beach access.

First I was told bu 2 people home would be cleaned when I got here, it was not cleaned and we had to get here at 6 AM to clean before movers came at 8. Then the hot water shutoff broke off, looked like had been broke and glued back together was told plumber called twice no one ever showed up for several weeks, HVAC was out for a week motor broke in attic. HVAC people put a window unit in, can't imagine my electric bill is going to be. The Muirwood Model is ridiculous. The pantry is to big which caused the island to be to far from stove-especially when taking full pots of boiling water off the stove-the primary bathroom has doors banging into doors along with the shower door encroaching into the water closet door way, the stove is horrible. You have 3 very heavy grates and a griddle which have to be removed to clean the stove properly. The quality of the fit and finishes are pathetic and cheap. Typical of Lennar. House was way overpriced.

I will say that the home is built with the lowest cost of materials possible, the interior paint is very poor in quality, and I believe it is only a primer coat, there was no garage door opener installed and we had to pay $500,00 to get that installed, the water pressure in the neighborhood is very poor and most of the new owners are very upset with the water pressure because you can't water the lawn because there is not enough pressure to run a sprinkler, take a shower, do laundry! I have had several issues with the house that need repair and can't get anyone to come out and repair it! I get ...

We had a very good experience with the purchase of our home! I did feel that the company cut corners on a few details! Bathroom accessories weren’t included, no window frames, all lighting is high hats, no fixtures, flooring, lack of carpeting, no outlets operate with switches to name a few!

Lennar Homes is a great builder and so streamlined from the beginning to even beyond settlement. Home is ready for move in! I have not found any major items that will need to be repaired. Being in real estate for the past 40 years, Lennar Homes has been one of the best home builder that handles upfront walk through items prior to closing.

Dealing with the loan underwriting was a complete nightmare ! I almost gave up and was willing to give up the deposits totaling $9,000. The system at Lennar is very poor! I was told I was conditionally approved only then to be told that I needed to provide more and more information causing us to postpone our original closing date. I am afraid I would NEVER have a good word about Lennar Mortgage. In fact I would advise them to not get involved at all costs!

Just recently purchased a Lennar townhome in Myrtle Beach,SC. Everyone from Jen the sales agent to Michael who did our final walkthrough was superb and very customer-focused. I really could not be happier with the service i received. Sorry, for the less than perfect score for quality, ask me again in a year!

Overall, my wife and I love our new home. But buyer beware, the sheetrock, painting and trim work sucks. Never realized we had to get our own garage door opener. Was told garage was paint ready, it's not. it's primer ready at best. Between giving first and second deposit, garage floor developed cracks. Was told it was within Lennar's tolerances, lol. It's not within mine. Lennar did put down an epoxy floor when I was ready to walk away from the deal. We were told the pool would be ready in April, not looking like it at this point. Home built poorly and cheap they are just out yo make a quick buck. Mo one tells you anything or explains things to you. Will never purchase a Lennar home again.

I bought my house remotely. So from a distance I found the buying experience frustrating because communication with several different people was not as smooth as I expected. I bought cash which should had made the process easier. I had to many times remind people the I was buying cash.
