The purchasing process including using Lennar mortgage was wonderful. My issues began when I closed before a few things were repaired and almost 2 months later I still have issues that haven’t been addressed. My contact was moved before the issues were resolved and customer service has stepped in to try to help. I am super frustrated at the communication post sale. I was not shown how anything worked in my walkthrough nor was I given any information. My precious new construction purchase was much better post sale. I am at this time confused as to who to go to for what and am frustrated that I still have a couple things that should’ve already been taken care of. The Salesperson that sold us this house and our last home was excellent. GC was great goes out of his way to solve problems, but he shouldn’t have to deal with a lot of these issues as the subcontractors should do a better job. The materials and workmanship leave a lot on the table. I have sheet rock issues, walls have waves in them, ceiling where HVAC Vent is has seem cracking . Finish sanding work is horrible. The home was spray painted and many areas weren’t finish sanded but we’re still painted. Didn’t clean the floors or walls before painting and dirt in paint on finished walls. Some of the door moldings have small chunks out of them. Door sills had over spray with dirt in them. Silicone sealing is messy .Concrete floor under bathroom linoleum has a hump in it. Couldn’t hook up dryer vent as piping wasn’t installed right in wall. As purchasing a Smart home I have a big utility box in my Master bedroom . There are wires in the closet that seem to go no where as they are not hook up. As well as a orange tube hanging in it with nothing in it. Why have a huge utility cabinet for a smart home with nothing hookedup in it but 2 cable wires. Toilets were not siliconed to the floor and wound up with ants coming into house from under both toilets. We love are home and the people associated with the sale process and the GC goes above and beyond. But the materials and workmanship quality in this home are not what we expected. The buying experience was great. The product needs some improvement. Some of this is your design people's issue; 1. Exterior wall mounted light fixture design is too low. Hit your head when you walk out the door, turn to the driveway. I'm only 6'-0" tall. 2. Tankless water heater (aside from it's questionable functioning) is mounted on the opposite side of the house and father to the front away from where the bathrooms are located... so it takes a long time for hot water to get to the usage point. Finishes: Perhaps the manner in which things are done is the problem,. There is no need for quarter-round floor molding if the flooring is installed before the baseboard. The finish work on the baseboard and quarter-round is wretched. There is pain on the flooring almost through out the house because painting the trim was the last thing that was done. The landscaping at the front of the house is horrible for a number of reasons: plant choice and placement. Rain water does not drain away from the house at the back of the house. The area at the juncture of our neighbor's property in the front has a conglomeration of stuff (street light (which has never worked) transformer, two water meters and a six inch plastic pipe stick out of the ground three feet high) that was never finished once the sod was in. Looks like crap. I fully realize labor is tough to get and due to the massive amount of construction going on in the area getting the trades to take care of these things properly is a tough Job. But ... this house was listed at $248K last June. We bought it at $305 with no upgrades in July. I expected a much better job on the finishes for that amount. ... More

Buying the home was easy , I DID NOT expect to have SO MANY issues with a NEW home.

Responsiveness….. they should have given me the option to give them a Zero. NOT including the sales staff, Gregg and ED who are great! I closed on my house in March 2022. I still have A punch list that needs to be completed. I realize they’re busy building new homes but, I would like somebody To communicate with me as to when They are going to Complete my home for which they have been paid. There has been NO RESPONSE After numerous phone calls, texts and emails which have been sent to multiple people with Lennar Homes. Communication….to much to ask? Been in the home for 4 months and they still haven't sent anyone to fix things. I've called and emailed. Back yard still flooding from just rain, wait until we have a hurricane water will be in my house. Lots of issues with this home.

After moving into the house and living in it we have found screw heads coming through all the walls, doors needing tightening so rain does not come through, driveway cracked where you can actually pick a piece out, concrete walkway not good workmanship, we have only lived in the house for a little over a month. Afraid of what awaits us

Everyone at Lennat is so nice and made purchasing new construction so easy. We have been kept informed throughout the whole process which has been so important since we are not in the area. It has been a pleasure.

I had a great experience with Lennar. It was a fast close.1 month to the day! I am very happy with the price, quality and Workmanship. Daniel and his team were very responsive and professional . My only issue where I felt stress was in the mortgage process. I was a Realtor in my previous location. I understand that closings are stressful. The issue I had was in the process. I put down a sizable down payment. I have a strong employment and credit history . First I was told I had to pay off my current car loan. Next, a week before closing I was told I had to increase my down payment. The reasoning was pretty text book. I felt like if I had gone to a private mortgage company they would have done a better job advocating for me, not just closing the sale. ... More

For the few issues I have had they have done an excellent job in resolving them.

We bought the Muirwood plan, and love it except for a few minor details. The drawers in the kitchen do not glide smoothly. They are cheap drawer glides. I will need to upgrade them post-closing. The bathroom cabinets that are not directly under a sink in the Master could have been standard cabinets with one drawer and that's typically not much more expensive than the no-drawer, sink base version. Those center cabinets in the Master would have been better if they had at least 3 drawers. IN the tiled areas, we found several places where the grout was not fully cleaned off the tiles by the installers. And the lack of gutters is causing a problem with erosion, also up to me to fix post-closing. The biggest oversight, however is the difference between the size of the refrigerator space and the passage ways to get a fridge in. There is no door large enough for a full depth fridge that occupies the full width of the refrigerator space. Once you get in past the widest door opening (front), you still have to get past the kitchen island. This is a design flaw. Making the island counter just a few inches smaller would both save Lennar money and facilitate getting a full-sized fridge into the kitchen, so that homeowners don't have to look at a large gap in the refrigerator space due to a smaller fridge. Also, sales staff should have on hand literature from FOCUS broadband disclosing the specific plans that are available at that time. For those who telework, homeschool, or are accustomed to having a connected/smart home, a lower bandwidth capability could be a problem. ... More

Did not like not being able make upgrade

A good home for the money.

Lennar has used mediocre materials in the home which reflects the price paid. Response time for getting things fixed is good.

We had a good experience from the beginning until we got to the loan portion of the process. We used Lennar Mortgage company which I would not do again. The loan processor was slow with information if we got it at all and didn't tell us critical things we needed to know, we finally had to get his boss involved before things turned around. We are happy with the house and the final walk through was great, as Mike was very accommodating in getting the things done that were found.

Overall I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase. I was very hesitant buying a new construction build as I have read many reviews stating numerous problems. I've only been in my new home for a little over a month, I've had some issues that the builder addressed quickly. Quality of some construction materials are poor, no doubt to keep build costs at a minimum. That being said, the purchase price would have been higher if better materials were used. Despite the stated issues, I'm still satisfied with my purchase.

Experience was great the only draw back I had was closing , was pushed to sign paperwork early , to close end of August. To find out at later date gas lines were not installed to the development . Push closing back till end of September. After I sold my home I was with a place to stay for a month .

Holly was very helpful in facilitating our buying experience. She was always prompt and pleasant in answering our calls. The home loan experience would be better with one data form for a married couple instead of duplicating the process (really got complicated). Billy was exceptional in facilitating our warranty issues. We are now enjoying our wonderful home! Great location!

Our buying experience hasn’t ended yet. Before we move into our new home we want to get additional work done on it. The interior paint was a flat dull gray on the walls, and the ceilings were a little lighter flat gray. My wife could not live with all that gray flat paint. I mean flat paint is the cheapest paint money can buy. Also, it isn’t practical at all. Get a smudge on it and it’s there to stay! So we got a nice satin paint all around. Now we’re getting more shelving added in all of the bigger closets. Our biggest complaint regarding our Lennar experience is the fact that we had virtually no choices in anything, ie cabinets, countertops, carpet, interior color, exterior color, etc. the only choice we had was which of the floor plans on the few available lots we could get. When we purchase a half million dollar home we expect to have a few more choices. In this bull real estate market, the developers have the luxury of dictating to the buyers instead of the buyers telling them specifically what we want. Guess I’m a little old school for this type of sales and marketing… We do think that our new home is basically sound construction in all the phases. I personally think the quality of construction is better than the other national builders in our area such as, DR Horton, Pulte, Beazer, Dale Webb, etc. We’ve only encountered one problem thus far. Our landscaper could not get the irrigation system to work. He said our grass was distressed and nearly dead because of a lack of water. So we called Lennar, SC MB. We actually got a real person on the phone. I described our irrigation problem to the nice lady and she made a call and got the problem taken care of almost immediately!!! What a pleasant surprise!! There are some “punch list “ issues that still have not been addressed. There are a few areas with workmanship. Some corners were cut, but overall we’re very happy with our new home

Good home for the money. Issues were eventually resolved to our satisfaction.

The entire team super nice throughout the entire process. The only negative thing for us that we found living here is how close the houses are to each other and very poor noise insulation within the walls. It’s a little disturbing when you can hear your neighbors outside while you are inside and all the windows are shut. Outside walls could use more insulation.

The date of my closing was changed by someone and I was not told. If it was not for the individual from Lennar, who was to do the walk through with me a day ahead of time, the closing would not have happened. He became aware when his calendar showed the walkthrough happening after the closure. He was the one that brought it to my attention. I was lucky and my insurance people were able to adjust my insurance dates. It seemed to me that someone dropped the ball, on Lennar's end, and did not even offer an apology. My recommendation to buyers is keep an eye on the calendar and confirm the closing dates. Note: there is a email trail showing the original closing date. ... More
