Really a 2.5-2.75 star rating for me. I want to start by saying I really love the community and my home. I have found some of the materials and initial painting to only be so-so. There was some patch work done in our master bathroom that wasn't painted over just before we moved in. Not a huge deal, but as a brand new build you expect perfection and don't expect small projects with your home right out of the gate. I have also noticed the paint on the walls is very easy to scuff and when cleaning seems to strip away very easily. Almost as if their wasn't good priming done first. Same with the baseboards. That brings me to my second point.The fact that the garage door opener was not included, neither was the attic space ladder/closure in the garage. It wasn't disclosed to us before purchasing the home, so be aware you'll have to put in some additional money for that when purchasing one of these new build homes. Not the end of the world, but a bit annoying. The biggest thing that rubbed me the wrong way was how pressured I felt to opt for Lennar financing. I found and went through my own mortgage broker, but looked into the Lennar financing just to see my options. When I decided to stay with my broker I got calls and texts flirting on the line of threats and harassment that my loan might not go through but that their team could secure it. That doesn't leave a good taste in my mouth. As I said nothing was straight out threatened but heavily implied. Definitely walking a gray line of my legal rights of freedom to choose financing. Luckily, I moved forward with my broker and had no issues- just as my broker reassured me there wouldn't be. Beware of these tactics as well! Again, I do love the house overall and my community. Just wish a few things had gone a little differently. It will make me cautious on who I purchase from in the future.... ... More

Lennar helped me with the new home of my choice from Sale to closing and after.

Our sales rep Wayne was awesome to work with when finding our home. Kevin was great helping us with our mortgage paperwork. We did not have a great experience with the closing process. No communication, asking for things 2 or 3 times. Waited till the last minute to give us our final numbers. Def needs to get better.

Explored the model home and purchased the same around 1.5 years later. Worked with John, who is helpful and professional and he sells without any pressure. It’s a spec home so what you see is what you get - no customizations. This actually made the process easier. Dan has been a great help and so has James in handling any issues found during and after move-in. The warranty service has also been easy to schedule with an easy to use app and they are very responsive. My only complaint is the quality of the kitchens: contractor grade appliances and not having soft close cabinets and drawers in 2024 is a real let down. ... More

We have been looking to buy for quite a while and I real estate agent Travis had gone with us to see quite a few developments. Once we settled on the townhome we wanted with Lennar the process of buying a home is always nerve-racking but the people at Lennar will be there with you every step of the way. We had to help of Jackie,Teresa, And Jennifer. The team was on top of everything Any paperwork or documents we needed to present they would make sure we understood exactly what they needed and why they needed it. I've heard horror stories about closing on a home our closing was so laid-back because a lot of the things you'll fill out forms before you go to the actual closing so you're not there for hours. Everything was going great until someone from Lennar ordered a 6 ft high vinyl fence to be installed blocking a water view of a beautiful pond after everyone closed on their property. Supposedly the salespeople didn't know that a fence was going up. They sold us the property with a premium for that view. So they took our money then blocked the view with the fence! Someone at Lennar needs to be held responsible and fired. It's a shame because of this situation it has ruined a great home buying experience for many of us. They need to take the fence down!

I’m thrilled so far and I am very happy with my house and the upgrades that it came with. The warranty department has been very responsive to any issues and everything I missed during the walk through has been or will be corrected. Love the community and the close proximity to Sunset Beach and the Calabash waterfront area.

Our new home is great. Everything was gone over with the builder. Only thing to tell others is to paint, for we had finger prints made by installers. Did receive touch up paint but it was a slightly different color.

Nothing nothing nothing nothing nothing

We purchased a POND VIEW for an additional premium and after closing a 6 foot privacy fence was installed blocking any view of the pond. Lennar knew they were installing this fence but waited until all units were under contract before doing this. We would never have purchased this lot if we knew we paid to look at a high white fence for the rest of our lives. I'm also sure this review will never see the light of day!

I've very happy with my new home in Brunswick Plantations. Lennar's team have helped me all along the buying and moving in experience. They have been responsive to making fixes since moving in, and hopefully they'll continue to work out all of the kinks as promised.

Lennar was fantastic from the initial meeting, through the sales process and house viewing, to the final signatures and any small issues I might have had. The quality and the value of the home is exactly what we were seeking. We will recommend Lennar to any family or friends that are looking to move.

We bought the Muirwood plan, and love it except for a few minor details. The drawers in the kitchen do not glide smoothly. They are cheap drawer glides. I will need to upgrade them post-closing. The bathroom cabinets that are not directly under a sink in the Master could have been standard cabinets with one drawer and that's typically not much more expensive than the no-drawer, sink base version. Those center cabinets in the Master would have been better if they had at least 3 drawers. IN the tiled areas, we found several places where the grout was not fully cleaned off the tiles by the installers. And the lack of gutters is causing a problem with erosion, also up to me to fix post-closing. The biggest oversight, however is the difference between the size of the refrigerator space and the passage ways to get a fridge in. There is no door large enough for a full depth fridge that occupies the full width of the refrigerator space. Once you get in past the widest door opening (front), you still have to get past the kitchen island. This is a design flaw. Making the island counter just a few inches smaller would both save Lennar money and facilitate getting a full-sized fridge into the kitchen, so that homeowners don't have to look at a large gap in the refrigerator space due to a smaller fridge. Also, sales staff should have on hand literature from FOCUS broadband disclosing the specific plans that are available at that time. For those who telework, homeschool, or are accustomed to having a connected/smart home, a lower bandwidth capability could be a problem. ... More

Everything went great. We had many questions and they were all answered timely.

We were not told that the home prices changed after so many other houses sold, so within 24 hours the price of our house increased $3500.00 and we were not aware of it until we signed the agreement. Lennar said, "Sorry, but that's our policy. The salesperson made a mistake." They still charged us the increase. Then we were assigned a HUB Concierge to help guide us through the transition to our new home. She was awful! She never returned one voicemail and always had an excuse for bad customer service. Lennar promotes "everything's included", but it's not. All of the ceiling lights are cheap plastic recessed lights, they do not install gutters, no refrigerator, and no blinds. They don't give you the option to add these items either, so be prepared to spend at least $10,000 in your first month in order to live in your new home. ... More

I had a great experience with Lennar. It was a fast close.1 month to the day! I am very happy with the price, quality and Workmanship. Daniel and his team were very responsive and professional . My only issue where I felt stress was in the mortgage process. I was a Realtor in my previous location. I understand that closings are stressful. The issue I had was in the process. I put down a sizable down payment. I have a strong employment and credit history . First I was told I had to pay off my current car loan. Next, a week before closing I was told I had to increase my down payment. The reasoning was pretty text book. I felt like if I had gone to a private mortgage company they would have done a better job advocating for me, not just closing the sale. ... More
