Our supervisor Daniel was very responsive. He ensured all issues were handled on time and took care of some thing personally to meet deadlines.

We bought the Muirwood plan, and love it except for a few minor details. The drawers in the kitchen do not glide smoothly. They are cheap drawer glides. I will need to upgrade them post-closing. The bathroom cabinets that are not directly under a sink in the Master could have been standard cabinets with one drawer and that's typically not much more expensive than the no-drawer, sink base version. Those center cabinets in the Master would have been better if they had at least 3 drawers. IN the tiled areas, we found several places where the grout was not fully cleaned off the tiles by the installers. And the lack of gutters is causing a problem with erosion, also up to me to fix post-closing. The biggest oversight, however is the difference between the size of the refrigerator space and the passage ways to get a fridge in. There is no door large enough for a full depth fridge that occupies the full width of the refrigerator space. Once you get in past the widest door opening (front), you still have to get past the kitchen island. This is a design flaw. Making the island counter just a few inches smaller would both save Lennar money and facilitate getting a full-sized fridge into the kitchen, so that homeowners don't have to look at a large gap in the refrigerator space due to a smaller fridge. Also, sales staff should have on hand literature from FOCUS broadband disclosing the specific plans that are available at that time. For those who telework, homeschool, or are accustomed to having a connected/smart home, a lower bandwidth capability could be a problem. ... More

Everything went great. We had many questions and they were all answered timely.

We were not told that the home prices changed after so many other houses sold, so within 24 hours the price of our house increased $3500.00 and we were not aware of it until we signed the agreement. Lennar said, "Sorry, but that's our policy. The salesperson made a mistake." They still charged us the increase. Then we were assigned a HUB Concierge to help guide us through the transition to our new home. She was awful! She never returned one voicemail and always had an excuse for bad customer service. Lennar promotes "everything's included", but it's not. All of the ceiling lights are cheap plastic recessed lights, they do not install gutters, no refrigerator, and no blinds. They don't give you the option to add these items either, so be prepared to spend at least $10,000 in your first month in order to live in your new home. ... More

I had a great experience with Lennar. It was a fast close.1 month to the day! I am very happy with the price, quality and Workmanship. Daniel and his team were very responsive and professional . My only issue where I felt stress was in the mortgage process. I was a Realtor in my previous location. I understand that closings are stressful. The issue I had was in the process. I put down a sizable down payment. I have a strong employment and credit history . First I was told I had to pay off my current car loan. Next, a week before closing I was told I had to increase my down payment. The reasoning was pretty text book. I felt like if I had gone to a private mortgage company they would have done a better job advocating for me, not just closing the sale. ... More

Financing was a nightmare

The most Stressful home buying experience ever!! Salespeople make promises that are not allowed by builder. Watch out for the sales gimmicks, they use sketchy sales practices.. I read the R&R's before purchasing with promises for a fence then the builder changes the docs. after submitting request for one. Lennar is not to be trusted. Love the location and floorplan. Unresponsive property management.

My home buying experience is going great ! Brandon Todd is excellent and a 5 star builder . He has been attentive and responsive with all my concerns leading up to closing and afterwards. In Addition Tim Martin and his partner are extremely kind and supportive as well with their roles. With this being our second home we have purchased the experience thus far has been better by far than buying from D R Horton.

I was taken care of in a timely manner and everyone keep me informed of what was going on before closing, and after closing and I moved in they made a visit to see how things were going. I would recommend Lennar for buying your next home.

Rather than review the loan package and request all needed items at once the person handling the loan kept asking for one thing at a time so I would submit the one document they asked, and then the next day they want another and then another I ended up having to stay in a hotel because I sold my prior home and had nowhere to go. I’ve purchased many homes through the years and this was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had!!

We recently purchased a new Lennar home at BeachWalk in Calabash, NC. The buying experience was very simple since we were cash buyers. Basically we selected our home, put down a deposit and waited for it to be finished so we could get our inspections. It was a very easy process and there was good communication with Lennar and our project manager. We closed and moved in on time and are very happy with our purchase. After 2 months in our home, we are still content and are seeing the homes under construction selling out fast in our neighborhood. The purchasing process was very easy and went smoothly. All questions were answered and issues were addressed quickly. The home is well constructed. We have a few minor things that need to be addressed which is common with any new builds. The only major issue we have had is our side yard is erroding. We have a slope and wet lands beside us. The water from our gutters washed away the soil and the sand underneath. We now have huge craters in our lawn! We have addressed it through the portal and have had conversations with Lennar as to how to correct the situation. We have put extenders on our drain pipes. They will address it within 30 days. The building crew is very responsive. All in all we are very happy and satisfied with our purchase. ... More

We purchased a home that was completed prior to being put up for sale. We had minimal interactions with the builders. We did interact with Kim, who is the owners representative between the builder and you. We had a positive experience with her, Our main issues was with the Lennar Mortgage Department. Although they all were friendly and professional, they are put under a strict time frame to close on these homes that many mistakes were made. We closed within 22 days of signing contracts, our closing costs and estimates changed 4 times including the APR. Our intent is to pay off this mortgage within 6 months so we were minimally affected by these issues. Due your due diligence and don't feel obligated to finance through them, although they offer some good incentives make sure you are not better off in the long run financing elsewhere. Buying our home was fantastic! John at Beach Walk was exceptional. Always reachable and flexible. Our home in Florida sold quickly and the coordination was handled and the timing was perfect! The job supervisor is outstanding also. The home was very clean, windows and all. The only complaints are the quality of the cabinets and light fixtures. Otherwise the craftsmanship is good.

I close on two brand new townhouses and Ghost Town when I ask for help as the screen door does not close and still Carpet has stains I’m not in South Carolina to view and everybody’s a ghost town now

We suggest Lennar revise their marketing information. Lennar says everything is included, they definitely do not include everything not even a fridge. The builder also should hire experienced subs so that they will fix the problem once and be done with it vs. having them come over and over and over again and the last sub we had made the problem even worse than the prior sub.

The whole process took Les than two weeks and service before , during and after closing was professional and beyond my expectations.

We purchased our home in November and closed on our home in late February. We were promised weekly construction updates and concierge service. This never happened. Communication from Lennar throughout the process was horrible. Except of course from the lending side of their business. Quality of work appliances and fixtures is bargain basement. Plastic! Seriously, plastic fixtures. Plastic in the dishwasher, plastic garbage disposal. On the surface items appear to be quality. But the design and engineering team has taken every opportunity to cut costs and trim any quality features. Multiple plumbing issues, poor quality paint, carpet etc. For this price point, there should be quality fixtures, appliances, and flooring. Shame on you Lennar. ... More
