Experience was great the only draw back I had was closing , was pushed to sign paperwork early , to close end of August. To find out at later date gas lines were not installed to the development . Push closing back till end of September. After I sold my home I was with a place to stay for a month .

Good experience with customer services

Purchased home for $281,000 supposedly on a deal. 6 days after we closed Lennar drops prices on identical house to $271,000. This is stealing from a customer. Spoke to Greg the salesman and he said there is nothing he can do. I felt like i was dealing with a car salesman. Will never purchase from Lennar again and ive told all friends, family, neighbors, and anyone i come across to never ever purchase from Lennar.

It took till the week before closing before we had our final approval, which was ridiculous, considering we had all the information they needed every time they asked for it. The house itself was a beautiful home but the materials used were the cheapest they could use. And the quality of the workmanship was horrible!!! My home still has walls that are not straight the siding has lumps in it,etc. Talking with my new neighbors there homes have the issues! Now we have to deal with all the huge trucks driving fast through the neighborhood and the dust getting all over our new homes and our vehicles. It is disgusting.!!! On the weekend people drive behind our homes and shoot guns. We have brought this to the attention of office , with nothing being done about it. Thanks for the horrible buying experience ... More

From the start everything was handled professionally, within 3 weeks I closed on my home! As promised a 5.25% loan, 70k off the house! Best part their warrant crew has been excellent, easy and fast results for all repairs.

From the first day we meet Seth the GC we where happy and surprised at the wealth of knowledge, understanding and time he gave to us by explaining any and everything we had questions and concerns about. We are the excited couple who like to come by and see the progress on a regular bases. So if something stuck out that we didn't understand or know about. I would contact Seth and within hour or sometimes minutes based on his availability he would respond and sometimes even show up to explain. This made us feel very comfortable with out investment.

Overall good value for new home construction in Myrtle Beach. Construction managers were all very nice and responsive. They kept us updated on construction progress, and we attended the pre-drywall meeting (definitely recommend everyone doing this). My biggest issue (and in speaking with our neighbors it is the same) is the final finishes. Drywall final skim and sand not so great, so any undulations and repairs they made are still visible. Trim and 1/4 round is some areas was not installed with pride in craftmanship. I know some builders have a "finishing team" that comes in a few days before closing to address some of these issues, but it doesn't appear that Lennar does this. And if they do, maybe they missed our house and few others on the street. Also, I wish they offered certain upgrades that we could have paid for (ie. chef's kitchen, double wall oven, flooring upgrades), but Lennar does not allow this. I had a house from Lennar in Tampa that the construction, finishes and the features were top. Came to Myrtle Beach expecting the same…..what a disappointment. The quality of the work and the finishes are probably the most cheapest. The lights, rugs, paint, cabinets. Bathroom……the worst quality. I had an issue with the grading of my soil prior to closing and the Construction Manager indicated that it was due to rain. A month and a half passed by and the area did not improve. Worked with the warranty department and they involved others to solve my issue. As of today the issue has not been solved. This was my 3rd house with Lennar and probably the last one…., what a disappointment. I will be happy once I put a For Sale sign on the house. ... More

Barry kept in contact with me from the point of contract and throughout the entire construction process of my home. He was very attentive to every question I asked and answered in a professional manner. Barry walked me through every step during my first and second walk-through Before closing on my home. In Closing, I want to thank Barry for everything He has done to assist me throughout the construction process of my home. He was attentive to quality work performed by the construction crew and made corrections when needed. Barry went above and beyond to ensure a smooth process and transition to close on my home. We bought a house is all I can say. The craftsmanship is not there. The Sheetrock and painting is the worst I’ve seen. The paint should be considered as primer and the house really needed painting. If this was my primary home, I would definitely be upset with the overall quality. All I can say is…..we bought a house and there’s nothing extravagant about it. I would definitely never use their mortgage and probably never consider their homes

I bought the house last August and there was a problem with the floor of the house. We are in November and still waiting for a solution

The buying process was very quick.

The workers hired to build the home were not craftsman. I've been around master carpenters and furniture makers all of my life and they would not have hired the workers that built my new home. The finish work is disappointing.

I still had items that were not taken care of

only issue we have is our front door. There were many attempts made to repair. They said they will need to replace the entire door and frame. trying to schedule when we go down, but it is difficult.

We lived out of state and was bought the house site unseen. When we contacted lennar we had a salesman contact us. He was pretty good at keeping in contact until the closing. There were a few issues that had to be addressed, however, most were taken care of before the closing. The fact that we cannot get prints to the house is a little irritating considering if we need to do any upgrading or remodeling, we don’t know where anything is running in the home. We understand the prints are property of lennar, but the prints could be stamped and given to the owners. Steve, our construction supervisor has been absolutely amazing. He went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable with everything. It would have been nice to see that there were actually houses going to be built behind us before we put the down payment down. We would have chosen another lot. We also had to go to another builders website to see the community space that is behind built, so that may want to be updated on Lennar’s website. ... More

We had a good feeling when we saw the listing for the new Fieldview community. We went right over and met Gregg. He was so helpful and understanding with what we were looking for. We loved the house so much, we put a deposit down that same day. Liz, the construction manager, was outstanding! She did the walk thru with us. She was very knowledgeable about the water heater and other things in the house that I wasn't familiar with. She made everything about this buying experience, great! Only disappointing part of our experience with Lennar, was their financial department. We had trouble having someone return calls which delayed our lock in interest rates. The over all aspect of the build from the sales department to the project manager was five star. However, The finance aspect of the project was not very professional and misleading at times and very unresponsive, and when we did have a problem and tried to fix it, they did absolutely nothing for us, except create bigger problems. In conclusion, I would never use them to finance ever again.

I would like to start from the beginning, our sales person Holly was inadequate, couldn't get answers to our questions and wouldn't go to her superior to get answers. Then our construction manager Kevin came aboard this is where questions got answered. Kevin is the biggest asset to the Lennar Team without him I probably wouldn't have purchased this home, he made the purchase effortless.

The warranty Department have gone about and beyond our expectations!!!!

I would like to compliment the Lennar team of workers that keep this ship moving in the right direction. No easy task. Had great interactions along the way with everyone, sales (Greg), project managers (Miguel & Kimberly) and Sam on the Customer service end. Very professional and helpful. Started off with a non responsive and overwhelmed project manager, which was switched to a new but too late in the project. A lot was missed in the finish work that should have been caught by inspections and managers. I am extremely disappointed by the lack of attention to detail. Here are SOME of the issues with the finish work; -Joint compound (spackle) drops everywhere. (Rugs, walls, doors, and moldings) -The spackle work in general was poor. especially around bathroom transom window, showers, ceiling seams. - Door casing, base moldings and quarter round is caulked heavily to hide big gaps. -Base molding shimmed from the wall to cover flooring shortage/gap! -Uneven walls/moldings. -Entry door off the garage is installed poorly. (Large gap created behind the casing filled with a ton of caulk) -Walls painted over unsanded spackle and large spackle drops. I am extremely disappointed that I will have to move into a brand new home and have professional contactors fix these issue properly. I have seen the quick fixes that Lennar contractors have done and I am left in disbelief by the lack of attention to detail. Our experience with the Lennar representative as wonderful. If it were not for Laura , I believe , the builder would not release the home. We were committed to buy and the PRICE WENT UP THOUSANDS! This is downright criminal. The construction manager Reese was also a pleasure to work with concerning repair issues. The problem is the craftsmanship of these workers who are hired to build and repair and address all kinds of issues. I have one serious remaining issue with drainage that I have contacted to address the problem. My wife and I are basically happy with the home and area. There is a lot to say and would be better served in a fluid conversation. ... More
