Let me just start out by saying this is the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a business. In late March 2024 we found out we may have to sell our home in Florida and move to middle Tennessee for work. We found a realtor who we love and started chatting about must haves around March 25th, lots of space, at least 2 additional rooms, open concept, we wanted a covered back patio, and option to install a privacy fence. The realtor and I came across Lennar homes, and they were building in a new location called Coles Ferry Village. Our realtor reached out to the selling agent Rocky so we can start inquiring about the homes and the process - this is where the nightmare begins. We were able to get a showing of a model with a floorplan that we ended up really liking. We found out that we were indeed moving and only had 3.5 weeks before we had to report to work on April 28th. At this time, we had gone over all the documents with the selling agent we confirmed a cover patio was going to be installed, and we again confirmed the fence was not going to be an issue. We were assured everything was perfect and we had nothing to worry about. About a week later after the first week of April we get a call and are told just kidding the house and plot you have picked was not submitted to have a covered patio - there is no way for us to add one since the permits are already approved through the county. We should have walked then but we didn't. We decided ok well maybe we can negotiate the sale of the house and put the covered patio in ourselves, we renegotiated numbers and came to an agreement, and we were still assured the fence wasn't going to be a problem. We assume everything is fine from this point on. When we signed documents with the selling agent we were give a tentative closing date of June 6th, pretty early on that date was pushed back to June 18th. Meanwhile we were in corporate housing for 30 days and had 30 days of storage paid for by our company. We moved into corporate housing on April 28 - May 28. We were only going to need a few days in between corporate housing and closing on our house. We worked closely with our company, and we were advised we can extend your corporate housing as long as we have enough notice. I said we should be good we will get our 30-day notice on the 18th but I am going to reach out and try and get a head start, I reached out to the selling agent on May 10th. ... More

Poor quality, constant issues, ghosted by Lennar when it comes to fixing issues. Everything is downplayed and not fixed. Horrible experience with every department in the process

Overall, I think the process went very well. I was able to pick my lot in Drumwright and watch the home being built. Regular meetings with site supervisor and then upon move in great communication with Jessica who helped navigate any repairs after 30 days. I think people forget that this is not a custom built home. It’s well built, but you don’t get all the choices you might see in custom. I think Lennar is one of the better builders in this area and it’s turning out to be a nice subdivision.

Great New Home Experience

My experience purchasing a Lennar home in the Sawgrass community was amazing! I love my home and everyone took care of me. The customer service was awesome and the quality of my home is just as good. I would recommend and I would do it again.

Definitely not the best experience specifically with the sales staff whom seem to be quite indifferent after the purchase completion. Bought a new home built by Lennar in South Carolina and had an excellent experience with the support and sales staff. Wouldn’t recommend Nichol’s Place to friends or family. We’ll see how it goes from now on.

No Follow through. Several quality issues pre and post closing

We are very happy with our Lennar home. The ONLY thing that bothers me is the carpet installers did not do a great job of removing debris before laying down the carpet. The putty and stuff from drywall’s can be felt when walking on various areas of the floor. But it’s a minor issue compared to everything else. Love our new home!

Brand new home had a broken truss that had to be repaired. Was informed that the HVAC system had been installed on the wrong side of the house, which it still is. According to the construction foreman it won’t affect the system. Hope he’s right. Inferior lumber used throughout construction. Terrible drywall prep and painting throughout entire house. Dry paint in carpet, all over floors and door hardware. LED lights in ceiling are going bad. Trim work is sloppy. Have had to have windows replaced and now the outside panel on the sliding glass door has to be replaced. This has been a terrible experience with a terrible built home. The only good experience I’ve had is working with Jessica. She has been going above and beyond trying to help me get things repaired. She has been doing an amazing job. I will never recommend a Lennar home to anyone. I tell people if you want to see how a Lennar home is built, just watch Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Pay close attention to Charlie’s house. I have been impressed from start to finish. I was moving from a full brick home I had lived in fir 24 years to this new home.The concierge and builder did a great job keeping me informed on everything. They were very reliable. The workmanship seems good also so far. I have only been in my new home for 2 months but the process of buying and timeframes were spot on. I was very impressed. They exceeded all of my expectations.

The construction team was amazing, very good communication, on time, good experience. The quality team was very responsive, solved all problems very well. I had a very good experience with Lennar and I love my new house.

I was out of state & my purchase & closing went smoothly.

We had a really good experience working with Lennar.

The build experience with Lennar was terrible. I have told my friends to go elsewhere unless this is all they can afford! From the get go, things were chaotic and disorganized and unprofessional. The selling team will tell you one thing and then later say something completely different and act like you’re the one who made it up! Then when we moved on to construction, everything seemed alright until we had issues with the build that our inspector found. There was so much sloppy workmanship. And the construction manager said he made necessary repairs that we were able to check and find out he didn’t actually do! The mortgage team started off alright, which was a huge plus after working with the selling team. However, they ended up also being chaotic and disorganized and unprofessional. The home looks good, and I like my neighbors. The building experience was awful though, so I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone unless they’re okay with sticking through a horrible process. I have worked with another builder before who had much better employees. Lennar is unfortunately filled with unprofessional, unkind employees who don’t tell the truth. Buying sight unseen is scary enough yet we were pleased with the overall outcome. Disappointed that we could not make changes AT ALL. Changes that would have not cost the builder extra but will now be extra for us. Our 2nd Sr Loan Processor was very difficult to deal with.. She almost broke the deal for us… Communication was difficult… I have sent emails after move in, no response!!!

I was kept informed of building progress. Love the home, yard, and neighborhood.

For what you pay for one of these houses, the quality of workmanship whoever Lennar sub the work out to is subpar

Everyone we've worked with at LENNAR have been great people, and very good at what they do! Personable, very responsive and seem to love their job! (a VERY rare commodity these days!)

Buying this house was easy. Once I moved in and began to notice the terrible attention to detail, I am regretting trusting those involved. Backyard floods- I have dogs and mud is tracked everywhere. Drywall is aweful; putty holes, unsanded parts of the walls, corners unsmoothed. Shower grout slopped on and then they expect the homebuyer to seal the grout work. My refrigerator was dented and misaligned due to damage. Tasks the construction manger promised would be taken care of never got touched. Warranty guy Jeff tries to you feel guilty for wanting/needing items fixed. It’s a beautiful house until you look closely at the attention to details/craftsmanship. We were very surprised how lovely and gorgeous the home design turned out. We are very happy with our purchase. The whole process was pleasant and very professional. We will definitely buy Lennar homes again.

I am very disappointed with my new townhome. LOTS of slipshod work and no attention to detail in making things look nice. LOTS of corners cut. I would not recommend Lennar Builders or my sales person. He never gave updates when he said he would and repeatedly would not return phone calls for weeks.

Name a problem with quality on a new built Lennar home and Lennar has it from the plumbing, HVAC, flooring, flatwork, concrete driveway, cabinets etc & my house is only a month old since closing.
