I had a great first-time home buying experience with Lennar. I was impressed from my first meeting and model home tour all the way through to closing (and beyond). My neighborhood New Home Consultant and the builder kept me updated on construction progress weekly. They were very responsive to all questions I had along the way. I decided to do an independent home inspection before closing and my inspector was impressed by the quality of work. He only discovered one issue during his inspection, and it was addressed/fixed by the builder while he was still onsite.

Great home-buying experience. We originally were going to go with a DR Horton home across from Vineyard grove, but they were extremely aggressive, angry with counter offers, and extremely rigid in their building timeline. So happy we went with Lennar.

I think Lennar is a good company overall. We are pleased with our home, but I also think it's important to know that Lennar is not building custom, million dollar homes. If you have those expectations, then you need to be prepared to pay more. Overall, for the cost, Lennar offers great options and is great about fixing any issues that come up along the way.

I would never buy another Lennar home. Terrible builder, shoddy workmanship and cheap materials. You definitely do not get what you pay for.

Finish the jobs before closing!

We closed on the house with drywall not finished—major holes in a closet and bathroom. Also a lot of paint touch ups and blue tape was still on the walls. We had a cracked step and a broken window also. Five months later.... we’re still waiting for most of the jobs to get done. In mid-August a manager came to the property and told us all the jobs would get done one day first week of September. We haven’t heard back from him, but several people have randomly shown up on different days, with little to no communication to arrange. We are so frustrated! We brought to Vincent & Joey's attention in December that the soffitt beam on the back porch is unlevel and has gaps at the column. We've submitted this issue several times along with a crack in the mortar at our dining room window. Still not happy with a driveway issue that has been addressed but not sure what else can be done. Also have submitted a new issue weeks ago pertaining to the bathroom door going into the toilet that was put on swinging in instead of out. This should have been caught early on. The price I paid for my home was great for this market. The sales and customer service team have been great. The layout and location as well as value for the money is great. The quality is pretty meh. My roof had a major leak that required the ceiling in the loft to be redone on the day of closing. This was fixed but there was a secondary leak that took 4 visits over a 4 month period to fix. My cabinets and drawers were no aligned correctly. The blinds that came with the home are cheap and required replacing. On the plus side the home came with the following included in the base price ...

Everything should have been fixed before I moved in and it wasn’t. Even stuff I showed them on the walk thru was not fixed. Already had a minor roof leak. Paid $400 for a professional cleaning and all they did was vacuum.

Kenner was great to work with. Kept us up to date weekly on the progress of our new home being built. Have a policy that they will fix anything within the first 45 days of ownership.

If you decide to buy a Lennar home is built really sloppy and cheap with no installation inside your home. The builders build these homes in the dark with no electricity by using flash lights...They will blame you for the issues with your house so no cost to them...Your home is built with particle board... For the money I would really consider another builder.. Do not use their mortgage company Eagle Mortgage its the worst ever

This was not our first new build home but was one of the less stressful. We purchased a home that was partially started as we needed to move quicker than the total build time required. We are pleased with our decision and the time table given was kept. Our questions were answered quickly and any small items we saw prior to closing were handled correctly and as soon as possible. Our on site construction manager was a great resource and responded when we had a question or concern. All those with Lennar we had contact with are very customer oriented and care.

The Homes are really nice and provide many features....The quality of materials used verses the price point is not the same. I would expect more custom features such as kitchen doors as glass and not the inexpensive particle wood. Regulating air and heat in a two story home is difficult and that must be checked prior to new owners moving in....Overall, I am pleased with this home, there are just minor issues we wished could have been looked at and reviewed....
