For a first time home buyer this was the worst experience ever! The lack of communication throughout the process, my house not being done at move in, and grass not installed till 3-4 weeks after move in. We also had a gas leak!!

This was a horrible experience dealing with the mortgage company. Buying a new house should bring excitement not in this case. Several times during our process, we taught of cancelling our purchase due to the loan department. We will definitely not recommend Lennar to family and friends!

From the start when Grecia first walked us through the available homes to meeting with Nathan for our final walk-through, to closing on our home. This process was efficient. Once we moved in there were a few issues with the A/C not working, the water heater shorting out. I want potential buyers to know that Lennar showed up and corrected these issues immediately. The A/C issues were fixed same day, and the water heater was fixed within two days! The service even after we purchased has been impeccable. A great company that stands by their reputation.

It seemed like none of the departments communicated with each other unless prompted by client or realtor. We finally got the home, but there were so many complications to get through and no one communicated with the other so everyone was on a different timeline. Moved in with a recalled gas leaking oven and no one from Lennar could help or even get in touch with the company that provided the ovens upon their request for the home. Have been moved in a little over a month and have noticed cracking in walls and ceilings from uneven settlement. Blessed to be in our first home, but as a well ...

Make sure you note EVERY thing that needs work on your walk through. Glue on floors is a major issue. Driveway cracks are another big issue

The only thing that kept me going with the home buying is my amazing realtor. Lennar’s team was awful in communicating within themselves throughout the entire process. The day I was closing I had to call them and ask them if we were ever going to have a final walk through which they stated “I signed to skip it”. I asked to send me a copy of this supposed document to which they responded they were misinformed and that I could do final walkthrough 30 minutes before closing! Awesome overall, but we were not happy with the closing experience. The couple before us had all the ladies at the door waiting, cheering them on with excitement. When it was our turn, she simply said, “You’ll get your copies by email,” and walked out. We were left wondering if we were done, so we just walked out expecting the same celebration, but got nothing. It did not make our day feel special. Other than that, we had a great experience and we love our home.

Stuck with water bill incurred prior to getting keys

I would not recommend Lennar based purely off the customer service. I received my keys one week after closing, as it was the first time going to the investment house far from where I live. I entered the home and hot water is blasting in all sinks and tubs given it was also the weekend of a freeze. The builders opened all the faucets to protect the house, which is a good thing, however, I am having to pay the water bill for faucets that I did not open. And prior to even visiting the house. This is absolutely insane. I issued the water bill with exact times that the water was running ...

Cleaning crew ruined my counters

My countertops were ruined in between the final walkthrough and my move in date. The cleaning crew was horrible and left streaks from a dirty rag on my white countertop. This left brown streak on my counter that after multiple cleaning attempts from Lennar can still be seen at the right angles. There’s was and still is paint all over everything from the paint “touch ups”. There is still tape from the yellow tape walkthrough on my walls. My floor is starting to gap between the planks.

This was the single most stressful situation of my life with next to no help from the builder/lender/title company (Lennar in all instances). My husband does not do email or anything electronically, so I had to do it in both our names. We decided the day before Thanksgiving that we wanted to buy the house. They called me and told me the initial loan application must be submitted before midnight in order for them to honor our agreed purchase price. I spent hours online trying to do that. I had the original contract to purchase 205 Donnington Dr Hutto TX 78634 for $324,700. There was some issue identified, during the process of purchase.. I was stuck on multiple issues on post inspection.. were worried to move forward. The builder without acceptance of refund or acceptance in signature. Cancelled the contract. Later one week esclated and reengaged in contract for same home with $15,000 penalty higher in price, its sold to me at $339,750. Now this situation is escaltaed to local attorney, I am in process of court action and serve notice to Lennar in middle of Feb26.

From the start, the builder was great to our requests. But I don’t know why there is a concierge! She did nothing really to help. The salesperson was okay and a little helpful. Some of the items we were promised did not happen as far as getting the home ready just prior to closing. Everything pretty much is online; not very personal. Like I said, the best person was the contractor in charge.
