Lennar, for me, is a solid mix of quality and quantity.

My experience with most of their employees was 5 stars. Helpful and attentive with a "call, if you have any questions."

Very Good service from Lennar Sales & Builders (but Lennar mortgage was not good)

I had a great experience buying our first home from Lennar. Lennar Sales and builders did a phenomenal job and were very professional all along. However, I had a bad experience with Lennar Mortgage who were pretty unprofessional.

Lennar - Lennar homes are good quality for the price.

Lennar homes are good quality for the price. However the lack of ability to customize or address problems with a floor plan or design is frustrating. When we found issues with the construction or finishings, Lennar did address them which we appreciated. We are happy with our home and glad Lennar is a builder that makes the American Dream possible but it won’t be a perfect process.

Lacks Communication

My home buying process was super fast/easy. What I am finding out now is just lack of communication with everything. I am finding different things out as I go, and that’s the tough part. Had HOA problems, my yard flooded because I wasn’t properly walked through how to use my irrigation system, and the list goes on. I’ve asked my neighbors for lots of help and advice along this journey because it’s all so new to me.

Great home but customer service/warranty department needs home improvement

Lennar home buying experience was great. Our salesperson, Chris, Construction manager, Kurt, and title team were both very helpful and responsive. They answered all our questions and concerns timely. Lennar makets their homes as "Everything is included" and this can be a little deceiving. We have a smart home and that is great but I would have much rather had all my rooms wired for cable and internet than having an Alexa or Amazon show in my home. Our home only came with the living room and master bedroom wired so we have had to spend extra money out of pocket to have cable and internet ...

Before signing off on the last walk thru sheet make sure ALL of the issues have been completed, we've had issues that have still not been completed. Make sure your drainage in the backyard is correct, When it rains I get a huge puddle in the middle of my backyard, water comes from underneath both neighbors fences, so I will be replacing my fence in about a year. Thanks. Something as simple as painting the PVC pipe in the front so that it matches the house still had not been done and its been 5 months.

Disappointed in the overall quality

Size and spaciousness are unrivaled. Quality of everything in the home is the cheapest it can possibly be. Buyer beware, there is NO STORAGE built into the home beyond bedroom closets and an average size coat closet. There is not one linen closet anywhere in the home. So, there is nowhere to put extra towels, bedding, etc. Home is not data ready. Homes are not wired correctly for data and using substandard data cable, nor are the cables to a centralized location in the home.

Overall the home buying process was fairly straight forward, however when I finally closed and moved into the house, the home was unfinished, there were chunks missing and scratched in my cabinets which should have been fixed when they were first installed since they were that obviously damaged, my attic access was the wrong size and was makeshift put together, the workers left a huge mess in my back yard and front yard of trash, pipe endcuts, and also the A/C wasn’t even hooked up so for the first week there was no A/C or heat. I would’ve been ok waiting and extra couple weeks to move in to ...

Not the Best Craftsmanship

The craftsmanship for this home was definitely lacking. Concrete Foundation: numerous area had to be refinished because much of the concrete stayed on the forms. I don’t know a whole lot but I’ve never seen concrete having to be refinished as much as this one. Drywall: Many imperfections were noticed after move-in. The house was originally painted in flat white. After repainting the house to a colored eggshell finish, a whole lot of imperfections and patches became visible. Interior corners were sprayed thicker with drywall and do not match the walls. Patches are very visible do not match ...

Lennar seems good but could be great!

Lennar has some really nice floorplans and finishes but the process could be better. The super we had kept lying to us instead of looking into things. For example, we asked about the flooring and he said the flooring was glued down but when the flooring needed to be repaired we found out it was floating flooring. For a track builder there were so many inconsistencies from one house to the other. Not too sure if we would buy another Lennar home.

Lennar - Cindy from the sales team was amazing!

Cindy from the sales team was amazing! Troy was wonderful in assisting us with resolving credit issues. The quality of the workmanship was subpar and the fact that I had medicine cabinets linen closets, and ample storage space in my 2 bedroom apartment and not in a $300,000 home makes the value for the price paid less than great!

Poor quality

I am grateful that everything is clean and brand new, however, the quality and craftsmanship is lacking. The large kitchen sink has the wrong faucet for that sink size, something like rinsing, the sink out is impossible, and it will have to be replaced. The bathroom faucet leaks under the sink when you splash water washing your face. Over 50% of the installed lights do not work properly. It’s so dim, it’s difficult to see for example cooking in the kitchen or putting on make up in your master bathroom. The backyard is not level. There’s so many large hole like ditches, I have rolled my ankle ...

1. The kitchen and bath cabinets are low grade quality. 2. The kitchen and baths grout was not sealed. "Sealer should be mixed with grout when installed." - This Old House. 3. Exterminator quote: "Sill boards not calked - lets in lots of bugs." "Too many weep holes, not a state or local requirement."

Lennar responded:

Moved into our brand new house and eventhough all my issues, and there were many, (from sewer back up in plumbing, garage door stuck in open position, HVAC heat/cooling system not producing heat, toilet water leak, and water heater elements needing replacement) within the first three months of moving in. Not a pleasant experience.

Smooth mechanical processes of executing purchase of home

The main reason I'm going to the trouble of writing this is to state my displeasure at one aspect of the purchase, but I'll save that for now. First I'd like to state what a good value for price my home was. It seems to be quite well made with an unusually generous part of budget having been devoted to excellent ambient lighting and electrical outlets. One generally must pay a premium for that. That's where it ends. The lovely garage comes without a garage door opener. Seriously. And zero trim work with white paint everywhere. Barren as a baby's behind. Now for my complaint. The mandatory ...
