Buyer Beware

-A large pattern of sod was stolen from our backyard the day of or right before closing and took a month to be replaced. -The wrong addressed deadbolt was installed on our front door so we couldn't properly secure our home until they got the right address. Took a week. -Cracked/loose fitting water meter box. Was told it’d be fixed after the blue tape walk, never fixed or communicated to about being fixed after closing -Along with the sod being stolen, a lightbulb was also taken from the front yard, leading me to believe the builders took it from my property to put elsewhere. Was ...

I only had an issue with the underwriter. My loan officer was a pure angel as well as my realtor.

Lennar has been very accommodating on dealing with issues that came up with our new house. We only have 1 issue that has been a little hard to resolve but other than that they have been on top of things and friendly in handling issues. I’ve already told lots of people that we were satisfied with our experience with Lennar.

Would not recommend very Disappointing

My experience with Lennar has not been great. Short of the woman who assisted me as my homebuyer concierge the experience has come up short. Things started off bad after the walk pre purchase walkthrough. I pointed out many issues. Then when final walkthrough came I showed up to the appointment and notii nouns had been completed and then they said they would complete the items and send me pictures. They did complete some of the items but not all and I didn’t get a chance to do a real walkthrough. Then after I closed they couldn’t even be bothered to schedule a meeting to give me my keys. I ...

Lennar responded:
Hi Logan, we are deeply saddened to hear that this was one of the most regrettable experiences in your life. That is not something we take lightly as quality and integrity is something that we uphold to the max. We appreciate your review and feedback and all of these negative experiences will be brought up to the appropriate team to help us improve in that area.-Lennar Customer Care

As a 1st time homebuyer we were so intimidated to purchase a home. Had we known how easy the journey was, and how great our agents and Lenders were going to be that work for Lennar, we would had started this journey a long time ago! I highly recommend anyone looking to purchase your 1st time home or even if it’s not your 1st home, to buy from Lennar. The Warranty process gives our family such a peace of mind that we can live comfortably in our home.

Home buying went good but after one week in new home we had a plumbing backup. Found out it was due to a test ball left in the line from builders. Took a month to get repairs done. My advice to builders is to make sure you are using your check list.

The sales guy from Lennar was wonderful to take care of the whole process. There were hiccups during the first walkthrough but they fixed them all on the second walkthrough. There is an emergency leak caused by outside hose speagot. Lennar sent right away to fix the issue of plumbing. They fixed the drywall and did the painting caused by the issue. They stand by their warranty.

To start, my 3rd party inspector found way too many issues for a brand new home. Now that it has been a month more and more issues pop up. I can barely get the warranty rep (Hunter) to even return my call after giving him 12 days to review the newest case I have submitted. I am currently not satisfied with my overall experience and Lennar could do better.

Make sure you get an independent inspection and all punch list items are completed before closing on the house. After market services are slow to get done. Look at paint and caulking for cleanup, painting is sloppy. Lennar Customer Care is a joke. They want to do virtual inspections, which does not tell the real issue.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon and thank you for sharing your feedback. We apologize for any negative experience you may have encountered. The experience with Lennar was so smooth, they were responsive and attentive to every need. After my customary walk through they made sure they thoroughly touched up every little detail so that the home appeared perfect. Overall the process was so easy I couldn’t even believe I had purchased a home. I highly recommend them for your housing needs, we also used the Lennar financing and it was a breeze.

They were increasing prices by the day creating artificial pressure to purchase home very fast. The lennar mortgage, title and closing teams were efficient. Not impressed with build quality though. Even visually you can tell that the material used is of cheaper quality and workmanship is average.

Information on website about available homes and prices of homes is not accurate. There is wide variations. Home selling agents don't seem to have the right info, and try to simply set aside any complaints/issues. Selling agent hung up on me when I raised an issue that I had. Inflexible schedules when final walk throughs are being scheduled.

The first time I came out to meet the Sales agent "Cindy" to find out about the possibility of becoming a homeowner. My entire process, from initial purchase to final move-in my experience with all including the builder was great, he listen if I had any concerns which were not many. I love the quality and value of my new home. If I had to mention anything I would say I would have like if the builder gave little more patio/porch in the backyard. However; The Lennar -Team and every one made me me feel at ease. They provided exceptional customer service. I do not remember everyone I had contact ...

We signed in Dec with the expectation to have the keys by March. Went to the lender and got rate locks with a buffer built in so even if Lennar delays by a month to April, we will be covered. March moved to April and then to May with absolutely no reason provided, except finger pointing - the sales manager will point to construction manager, who will point to vendors who wont be around to answer why its getting delayed. Thats fine, we extended the lock and took us multiple request to get that covered by Lennar and that happened at the end and Lennar made it look like they were doing us a ...

I bought my first house with lennar and it has been a nightmare. I had to reschedule my original 1st walk-through and the seller from lennar conveniently did not send the new walthrough date to my realtor. Due to this I had to do my walk-through alone, and not knowing what to look out for. The demonstration person from lennar told me we could sign off on everything and I didn't have to do the second walk. Not knowing that this is not supposed to even be an option I signed off and was not let back into the house until after closing. The roughly two weeks between my walk through and closing a ...
