wost experience of my life. I was stressed put until the day I moved. From pre-approval nothing changed for me financially, but I had to keep submitting letters saying how I'm going to pay my mortgage. Nothing changed for me financially, I would not recommend this experience to my worst enemy.

This was one of the worst homebuying processes I have had to go through, I feel the employees are incompetent in some departments and making big mistakes with numbers that caused me to change my loan type at the last minute, change my move in date, change my mortgage payment, and it was just an overall bad experience.

Lennar responded:
Good morning Kendall, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We genuinely regret that your Home-buying experience wasn’t as positive as it should have been. We hope that moving forward, you enjoy your home while we strive to provide you with a great homeowner experience. Information on website about available homes and prices of homes is not accurate. There is wide variations. Home selling agents don't seem to have the right info, and try to simply set aside any complaints/issues. Selling agent hung up on me when I raised an issue that I had. Inflexible schedules when final walk throughs are being scheduled.

We purchased our home a few months back and the process seemed like it was never going to end. Our sales agent Devonte did nothing besides open up the house for us to view and collect his commission, the process of getting approved was so murky that we never felt confident during any point in the process that we were going to end up with the home. The grading on our backyard was terrible, planks in our fence are already falling down, and 2 months in I have already had to have the irrigation company, flooring company, plumbing and a contractor come out to fix various issues that should have be ...

We signed in Dec with the expectation to have the keys by March. Went to the lender and got rate locks with a buffer built in so even if Lennar delays by a month to April, we will be covered. March moved to April and then to May with absolutely no reason provided, except finger pointing - the sales manager will point to construction manager, who will point to vendors who wont be around to answer why its getting delayed. Thats fine, we extended the lock and took us multiple request to get that covered by Lennar and that happened at the end and Lennar made it look like they were doing us a ...

I wanted to move in on the closing date that was promised. So I was ok if there were 2 or 3 items that could be fixed later. But I had around 45 items on the list. After 4 months, there are still several items that haven't been fixed. Especially the windows have so many scratches. Contractors from different companies have visited and taken a note of all the issues. Still there is no resolution. The painting/Stain on the rails are so poorly done. The house was not cleaned and I still dont have this resolved on the places where I cant reach. I would never trust Lennar with such poor experience.

Lennar responded:
Hi Fnu, thank you for sharing your experience with us. We would like apologize for the incomplete items in your new home and unsatisfactory completion of work. If there is anything we can do to follow-up on these issues, please contact us at corporatecustomercare@lennar.com. - Lennar Customer Care

Our home had been delayed for months throughout the building process. Our sales person kept us up to date throughout this time. We understood due to supply shortages, labor shortages, a global pandemic, a winter storm, etc. We were patient. We had to pay extra to live where we were due to having to extend our lease on a month to month basis. Still....we did not complain. Things were very pleasant through this period. When it came time to close, there was a very noticeable shift to rush US into the home before it was complete. We hired a 3rd party inspector to look at the build prior ...

My experience with Lennar has not been great. Short of the woman who assisted me as my homebuyer concierge the experience has come up short. Things started off bad after the walk pre purchase walkthrough. I pointed out many issues. Then when final walkthrough came I showed up to the appointment and notii nouns had been completed and then they said they would complete the items and send me pictures. They did complete some of the items but not all and I didn’t get a chance to do a real walkthrough. Then after I closed they couldn’t even be bothered to schedule a meeting to give me my keys. I ...

From the time we put down earnest money this has been a bad purchase. With the exception of Joey Blackledge and Pablo Berrios we have had issues. Price quoted different from price provided after we had to put down earnest money, closing delays and online closing issues, Service issues getting scheduled and call backs, the quality of the build requiring multiple service calls. The electrical issues that have been known about through the community, quality of workmanship being poor and then the sales manager response to us at the beginning. This has been the worst home purchase we have ever ...

Took over a year after we signed a contract to get the house finished. Construction was rushed and workmanship was woeful. Roofing done wrong and they refuse to fix it. We had to spend our own money for a new floor because the one they put in was such poor quality. Communication is, and has been, virtually non-existent We have to make repeated requests just to get a reply, let alone having things fixed. This whole thing has been a terrible experience. We would not buy from Lennar again.

My house has had 3 plumbing issues in 3 months. They've had to rip walls down, take out the floors and appliance, and repaint. I lost work time, my family and friends had to take time while all this work was done. Let's just say Lennar does not keep good on their promises. This was also my first home buying experience and it has been awful.

Clearly our home was not ready when we closed. In good faith we closed. Our patio took a while to fix, there was a leak in our bedroom that went undetected and there continue to be myriad issues that are detected but fixing has been mighty slow. The reason we picked new construction is we wouldn't face issues like this but we continue to run into problems. We are disappointed.
