The bones of the house seem pretty good but pick any detail and you will likely find flaws. It appears from the things we have experienced that the actual people doing the work have no pride in workmanship. Also the construction manager we happen to get has been very non communicative. We just go through Lennar warranty for everything rather than the C.M.

Lennar responded:
Thank you for your comments, John. We are sorry for the workmanship issues you've had. Please send an email to corporatecustomercare@lennar.com if you have any outstanding items that need to be addressed. Thank you again.

I have lived in this community since November and, while it is a pleasant neighborhood, it is still in the early phases of development with ongoing construction and new residents moving in. I chose a Lennar home because it was the most financially practical option; however, I am disappointed with the overall quality and craftsmanship. I previously purchased a Lennar home in Houston in 2019 with comparable square footage and bedrooms, and the difference in build quality is noticeable. Despite higher home prices in this market, the current home feels extremely standardized, with minimal ...

Very disappointed in Lennar Sales Rep. and rushed craftsmanship. When being shown the house and we asked if we could put in an offer, the sales rep answered,”you can but if it gets appraised for more you’ll need to pay the difference at closing” this dictated how we proceeded. Just recently we learned we were supposed to be shown rates. We were never shown any. Lying to first time home buyers so a Lennar rep. can squeeze more profit for them self’s is disgusting and I’m appalled that’s what y’all stand for. We trusted our Lennar sales rep. and got taken advantage of! She screwed us out of ...

As a first-time homebuyer, my experience was generally positive with some areas for improvement. The initial stages were particularly impressive, and I appreciated the appeal of moving into a brand-new neighborhood, especially with the attractive incentives offered. The house is charming and provides a solid foundation that can be customized to fit my preferences. However, the quality of the work could benefit from some enhancements. During the blue tape inspection, it was evident that the home had a basic finish. I would recommend that other first-time homebuyers explore various ...

No one acted like resolving the punch list was their job

Once items were not resolved on the punch list we were passed to many different individuals and did not appear it was any one specific individual's job to resolve the house to get us to close. Do not recommend the mortgage team for the same reason. I would not purchase through Lennar again based on this experience.

Mortgage people were awful.

The two people that started out helping me were awful. The last person that helped me from Arizona was amazing. Everything that was suppose to be completed before close wasn't completed. The door jams suck and always move down and allows the wind to be howling all day and night. If I had to do over I wouldn't have purchased this house. Now I am just waiting until I pay off enough or the price of the house goes up so I can sell it or maybe I will look into renting it out.

Affordable house. I understand I was getting a house cheaper than the rest of the market average and that's what I feel like I got. Not a fan of the process you walk the house prior to your closing date and get told no need to point out every defficiency they'll all get addressed. Then you walk it right before closing and get told "if we didn't point it out last time we can't address it now". When you get told that feels very scummy. Had a plumbing leak week of move in. Items were not addressed prior to closing but that's on me for agreeing to sign. Main construction lead not a pleasant ...

Could be better

To start, my 3rd party inspector found way too many issues for a brand new home. Now that it has been a month more and more issues pop up. I can barely get the warranty rep (Hunter) to even return my call after giving him 12 days to review the newest case I have submitted. I am currently not satisfied with my overall experience and Lennar could do better.

Although the overall experience is average, the new house customer managers at walk-through and 1st month after closing were responsive to issues. Sometimes the corrective works were not done in the time as promised, with our persistence it got done.

We moved in 5 months ago. The day we moved in we were told not to use the A/C until the company could come out and check on it. ?. Two of our kitchen cabinets were damaged. We reported it. Two people came out to inspect the damage. They agreed there was damage. Four months later it has still not been repaired.

The water smells heavily of sulfur. This should have been disclosed when we bought the home. We replaced the anode in the water heater with an aluminum one which was a temporary fix. I asked Lennar to replace it with a titanium one because the aluminum anode has already been eroded. I was told it was not their issue to fix since it was water quality. Yet, I believe since they didn’t bother disclosing the high sulfur in the water reacting negatively with the metal in the water heater would be an issue, it is partly their problem. It would be different if we weren’t willing to invest the money ...

I just bought my first home in 2023 and after a lot of work combing through the market, I finally came across homes quickly selling in an ideal area! I had heard good reviews for Lennar and decided to give it a chance. Immediately in the walk thru I noticed quite a few things that needed to be fixed. I noticed a few cabinets needed to be replaced, one was loose, the doors all had some damage to the paint from being closed while wet, the carpet was stained with muddy boot prints, and there were marks on the flooring. I was told these things had been completed but was never offered an ...

Stuck with water bill incurred prior to getting keys

I would not recommend Lennar based purely off the customer service. I received my keys one week after closing, as it was the first time going to the investment house far from where I live. I entered the home and hot water is blasting in all sinks and tubs given it was also the weekend of a freeze. The builders opened all the faucets to protect the house, which is a good thing, however, I am having to pay the water bill for faucets that I did not open. And prior to even visiting the house. This is absolutely insane. I issued the water bill with exact times that the water was running ...

Upon final walk through house was not cleaned nor was it ready for the walk. Paint on all floors especially in carpeted areas. Multiple times said it was clean and wasn’t. Disappointed in finish out. Caulking looks like play dough was formed to fit. Marnina was excellent to work with Robert… not so much.

The home buying experience was tainted by the Lennar company, Eagle Home Mortgage, which made the entire process so stressful and they ignored entirely the impact every delay, and there were numerous delays by Eagle Mortgage. They did not care a little finger that every week they delayed, cost us, the customer, more in lodging, loan points, and utility charges from scheduling service starts, then having to reschedule them, appliance deliveries has to be delayed, orders changed or canceled. It was the worst experience we have ever had in home buying and this was our 6th home. Aside from that, ...

The only thing that kept me going with the home buying is my amazing realtor. Lennar’s team was awful in communicating within themselves throughout the entire process. The day I was closing I had to call them and ask them if we were ever going to have a final walk through which they stated “I signed to skip it”. I asked to send me a copy of this supposed document to which they responded they were misinformed and that I could do final walkthrough 30 minutes before closing! Obviously it was rushed as we had a 25 minute drive to closing which we later regretted as we saw things that needed to ...

Bad experience with the construction manager

We had a bad experience with the construction manager in charge. The house wasn't ready to move in because it had too many things to repair after three visits. They didn't follow up on what needed to be repaired. We moved in and realized that the kitchen tiles still hadn't been repaired. They told us it was too late and we had to call the warranty company, even though it was on the previous list. The warranty people told us they weren't going to repair it because we accepted the kitchen tiles as they were. They tricked us, and no one took responsibility. Very angry and frustrated, after many ...
