For title, I didn’t know when I was going to sign until it was about two days before it was very hectic, I had to wait a long time when I went to the office because they didn’t have everything ready, and then after they wanted me to go back and sign more papers And I live like 45 minutes away so I said no, so a very nice lady came to my house so I could sign more papers, purchased many houses throughout my life. I have never had an experience like this should Communicate better, since people are anxiously waiting to know when it’s going to close and not Just two days before we close, because ...

If you can buy with anyone else DO IT. Issues after issue, getting information/returned calls… umm yeah right. Praying on people with no knowledge of the mortgage industry and you should steer clear.

Lennar responded:
Thank you, Brian for taking the time to share your comments. We are very sorry to hear this was your experience as a Homebuyer. We hope that moving forward we can change your sentiment to a more positive one as a Homeowner. If you have any questions or warrantable issues, please do not hesitate to submit a warranty/service request online through your Lennar Account. Love our home but process was very stressful

Too many people involved which made it very confusing as to whom to contact for various issues. There was a concierge but he seemed extremely young and inexperienced and was not prompt in replying. I think that role if properly staffed would have been perfect to help redirect us when we contacted the wrong person with a particular question or concern. A huge issue was no trash/recycle receptacles at closing. What in the world were we to do with our trash and tons of recycle the first two weeks. Thank goodness our 2 sons were able to accept a lot of our trash and recycle. It took weeks ...

Horrible home buying experience

My broker did not get paid and sales man kept her commission even though she went with me and I let him know via message that she was going with me. They stated that she didn’t walk in with me the first time that I walked in to ask questions, however, I was never told that she wouldn’t be getting a commission even though she went with me to all the walkthroughs/inspections. We contacted his manager and higher ups and no one cared they also responded in a rude and unprofessional way making me think that they only care about making a sale. This put me in an uncomfortable situation as I became ...

We had high hopes for building with Lennar but they failed in many areas. Communication was extremely lacking, workmanship was subpar, and the Title company was less than professional. I had previously heard differently from others, but based upon my experience, I cannot imagine referring friends to Lennar.

Lennar responded:

Overall the price of the home was affordable, especially for the area. The home was built with builder grade materials so didn't expect anything of quality and I received exactly as expected. Overall the buying process is stressful and they force you into using their mortgage. I do not suggest using their title company. The sales staff are so-so. At first super responsive but as the process moves along they do a horrible job coordinating things and keeping you updated. The walk through person was probably the only bright spot. He did a great job explaining where things are located, how to ...

The experience was pretty easy and very efficient. Martha and john were great and went above and beyond to get my family in our first home purchase. There were some minor building issues that were addressed but overall great experience. Highly recommend but would also say to any new home buyer make sure a thorough inspection is done

Terrible, terrible experience all around with this builder. I closed on a property by Lennar. I called the City of Dallas Water Utility service on the next business day and was told a building permit remained opened on the property. I notified the construction manager promptly as well as Lennar Warranty service, only to be told that it will be addressed on that week, then the week after, and every week I got the same story. I had to inform them that I needed to move in and gave them a few weeks to figure it out, but as long as the permit remains open the City wouldn’t allow me to establish ...

First time homebuyers experience with Lennar

Overall, I’d say the experience was well but very overwhelming. A lot of back-and-forth, which is to be expected with a huge decision to purchase a home. With Lennar being a giant production builder it’s understandable that things don’t always go as planned, but their processes are streamline and issues end up getting worked out. So far we’re loving being in our new house and appreciate the opportunity to buy with Lennar. As of 2 months after closing our experiences are nowhere near what a lot of the negative experiences are that are posted online. We have a lot of good things to say, but ...

Overall extremely smooth process. The build quality and materials arent near as good as older generation homes you can tell they cut corners to pump them out. They do deserve credit as the home team does repair what is messed up so praise to them and credit where due.

My process was little stressful at first due to being a first time buyer. I am very excited that they got me a lower apr rate than my other lenders. The process with everyone was very helpful and great. They all worked hard to help me with my first home!! I am excited to be a new homeowner and live in a great area.

Hi, my experience with Lenora. It was very fast. I moved in my house less than 30 days. I had to break my lease so I owe the apartments moving into the house. It was a lot of unexpected cost that I didn’t know about was not aware of and nobody told me about it I have been living in my House Two months and I still cannot get my water in my name because the house is not up to cold. It’s no communication. I have tried several people emails. Nobody’s complying.

Lennar responded:
Good morning Latoya,

Thank you for your review. We sincerely apologize that your home-buying experience fell short of your expectations. Your feedback is very valuable to us, and I've already shared your concerns with upper management for their review. We're committed to improving the home-buying process, and your input will help us achieve that.

First things first - love my home. It meets all my needs and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. Lennar delivered what they promised, on time. The reason I took off couple of stars is because of response delays during the home buying process. There were 3+weeks that both my real estate agent and I struggled to get answers and an updated closing estimate from Lennar. On the positive side, once they started working with me (last week before closing), the answers and updates happened quickly and efficiently. For everything else, Lennar did what they said they will do, when they ...

I did tell the sales agent that this would be a bad review. Seems that in order to save on the almighty dollar everything is done electronically. I insisted on a face to face with the loan officer and an in person closing. Had the face to face with the loan officer and brought all the documents for the loan. That did not work because he did not make copies of all the pages he needed. So had to send again. The concierge was supposed to keep me updated on the progress of the construction but did not. I found out by making regular trips. The house was not thoroughly cleaned when I ...
