Closing was a nightmare. The first closing appointment was cancelled without notification. I was at the second appointment from 12:00 to 8:15 PM. All I heard that day was "we're waiting on paperwork. Then the house keys were not available and they weren't sure where they were so I was unable to go to the house that day as planned. I had to go to the model home the next day to get the keys.

In beginning everything was good and the seller Carson was amazing, after that it was so complicate. I had other company to do all relative to the mortgage and I decide do it with Lennar and that was like nightmare. then when I was in the end of process I went to do the walk in, and I was let them know what need to be fixed, the lady how was with me answer " you have to understand this is a production house" I don't know if the mean it is the cheaper house, don't ask for to much, anyway for a production house, they should offer good quality, and better costumer service.

can provide more quality based homes. Once the house is signed, we need to take care of all the issues. Quality of house is not that much appreciated. When I put up same question, they mentioned its human build and mistakes will happen, which was not expected. Final inspection should be done by team and identify issues and close it before customer do it.

Customer service on the builder side was seriously lacking. I expected it to take longer than estimated to build, but the roadmap was unclear and timeline changed so many times and took twice as long as the original estimate for close. My issue was really with how unclear the process was in terms of next steps and the timeline of what was needed from me. For a company that has all of the parts of the process able to be managed by Lennar businesses I had hoped they’re communication between building and lending for example would have been better. It's been nearly impossible to find an affordable home. I was relieved to find a new home in a new community. The house is designed well. With that said, the community has been largely built in the absence of an adequate infrastructure. Power goes out regularly. The community ammeneties are still not complete. Contractors are leaving footprints in the concrete and there seems to be no oversight into quality control in a number of areas. Construction sites are littered with bottles and cans and storm sewers are filled with garbage in construction areas. With that said, it is easy to report issues and Lennar sends people out to correct problems in a timely manner. ... More

The home is good. A few issues that I can correct. The staff that were my main contacts were great. Some staff late in the closing process were not helpful.

Had a good experience generally. only big disappointment was on the 1st and 2nd viewing of the property before purchase. The lady treated us really badly. We still remember this.

Customer service has been ok except NOT the mortgage part… otherwise ok

Lennar did an adequate job. The home is good all-in-all but there are definite things that need improving. The attention to detail is definitely lacking with the workmanship and the employees were not always the friendliest. If you’re looking for a pretty good house for a pretty good price, then you’ll get it, but don’t expect anything amazing from the product or the people.

We love our new home. It is built well and so far have only had drainage issues due to the new sod. Hopefully this gets better. We love our neighborhood and love the design of the home. Lending was quite easy with Lennar. The only problems we had was after we put in our application for purchase the communication almost stopped and processes were not explained to us at all. The lending was all done on line and it was hard to get somebody to call and explain next steps. We were just kind of standing around wondering if we were approved, should we pack, what do we do. We didn't get final approval until a week before closing. So we were hesitant to schedule movers and all the preparations of leaving our old home. It became very frustrating. It felt like the builder gave us great service at the beginning then faded away. We did get a nice house and are happy. I hate to complain and rarely give bad reviews. Overall it wasn't a terrible experience but just pick up the phone and see how your customers are doing. That's all that is needed. ... More

Poor quality of the material

Spec house. Know what you’re buying, lennar is there for money.

Compared to the stories we have heard from people dealing with other builders in town, we don't have much to complain about. However, you can see where they used subpar materials and cut corners to meet deadlines.

Make sure you ask questions.

Very pressured to use their preferred lenders and when we wouldn’t change our lender the closing of our house was threatened.

This was my first home buying experience. If it wasn’t for my realtor helping me understand the process, I had no idea what was going on. A lot of the walk through issues were not fixed properly.

My wife and I have not closed on our new house yet. There have been multiple delays with our closing

I understand the homes are built assembly style, but appears to be get it done in most expedient fashion possible. Trim which be somewhat pliable has paint on it, so not pliable. Replacing thermostat, would expect a small hole for wiring. Hole was big enough a plate had to be used around old thermostat. New thermostat in place can still see hole. In slight wind can hear the exhaust vents open and close. Over all house it is ok for the price

Communication through the whole home buying process was not great. I still have emails with questions that were never responded to. The homes are nice and lot sizes are decent. Main issue we had was finding out all the things that didn’t come with the house at the final walk through. During the initial walkthrough the house was still in the finishing stages of being built and we were told specifically that the only things not included in the new build were a washer and drier and blinds. Which we were understanding of. Then on the final walk through we found out the house wasn’t going to come with a garage door opener or gutters. The situation felt sort of petty and deceiving. We asked if there was anything they could help with which resulted in nothing. Worth noting that the in house loan process was fairly easy. All in all If looking to buy in this neighborhood make sure you ask a lot of questions and understand exactly what you are getting into. ... More

I paid 250k for a 1600 sq ft 4 bedroom house with the tiniest backyard I've ever seen. I'm a first time home buyer and after the first 2 months here I can now confidentially list numerous things that were done shoddily. 1. EVERY door frame in the house is just the tiniest but bigger than it should be. I've needed to put door strike plate expanders on every door that I actually want to keep closed since they left about 1 millimeter of contact between the latch bolt and the strike plate. Shaking the door aggressively could open it up without even turning the handles. 2. The back door is literally cut crooked. The spine of the door is attached to a literal crooked doorframe that stick out more on the middle than the top of bottom and since day 1, the back door doesn't close or open right and takes a bunch of force to do either. 3. Moulding caulk across the entire house was done shoddily. Now I see why I had all those pest control people literally harassing me the first month. It's because they know that the moulding isn't actually sealed and just has holes and missed spots for insects to literally enter the house. Your carpeted bedroom. The back door, the kids room, the kitchen, it's everywhere. 4. They never sealed the bottom of the cabinets. Within one week I had an animals get stuck in the crawlspace they left uncovered in the cabinets. They literally just left it unfinished and little animals can crawl in there.... And there is no way to force them out without breaking about the entire cabinet system. 5. NONE of the cabinets or drawers in this house has handles on them. None..... I didn't realize it during the rush to buy, that they wouldn't be installing even basic things like that. I bought a house that already has issues that need to be fixed and the inspector didn't notice ANY of this. That's not to mean the inspector didn't also have things that needed to be worked on, but those were almost inconsequential superficial things that almost seemed to exist to distract me. I've also needed to buy an additional AC unit for the master bedroom, because even with a new house and new unit, the master bedroom, the one that's the main bedroom in the house, is ten degrees warmer than the rest of the house at all times. ... Initiated purchase online. Sales rep never made effort to meet with us as buyers. Was very hands off and never around when we were available and responses were delayed. Agent had to press for assistance. We liked the style of house and area so we moved forward with the purchase despite his absence in the process. Was not told we would have two HOA's. While the total HOA cost was disclosed, abiding by two associations is not ideal especially as they are seperate assessments. LENNAR, we were told, is the only builder with this as they build off the main site. Wasn't told this. Couldn't get correct information on incentives, similar houses were being discounted after our purchase, other features offerred in other premium LENNAR properties were missing. Had a problem with AC unit and the reaction time was not quick. Lived here for a few months always finding issues. You make a ticket to get it fixed and they only fix it if your home. So that means you have to take off work. So I been fixing it myself.

Lennar builders don’t tell you the entire truth regarding warranty and how nothing falls under the warranty. Smoke screen of things you will receive half of the extra amenities pool etc aren’t even built because they’re so busy constantly building houses!

The sales rep has inaccurate information and the closing process was a hassle. They claimed the home would be locked but let someone come in and track the carpets and damage the floor. Also, didn’t get the keys during closing.

First off the buying process step by step was good. As far as the quality material of the homes wasn’t great. A lot of the items can be damaged and If carefully found during walk through it will not be covered under warranty after closing. Tree’s that was planted were not deep enough and was knocked down on a windy day also not covered warranty after closing as well. We had to dig the hole deeper and re planted ourselves. It feels like the home was built/installed in a rush.
