Best Loan Officer, Ok customer rep, Bad Sales Rep

We had a very bad experience with our sales agent. No transparency. He was just trying to misfeed the information and push us through closing. We had to push the closing three time just because the home was not ready. Our sales agent thought it was ready for him to close all the three times. I had to fight to push the closing. All I was requesting was to give me a home that's complete by the time we close. It was very stressful to deal with our sales agent since the signing of the contract. He made our first home buying experience a nightmare. Our Lennar loan officer was really good. We ...

Lennar advertise that you get a smart home. Well the only smart technology I have is what I had to buy myself. House came with no door bell, no garage door opener, no peep hole in the door, very cheap appliances. You will also need to buy shower rods are have shower door installed at your expense. If you want the sprinkler system to be a smart device you will have to purchase the wireless device yourself as well. Even though they advertise there homes are smart homes that is not true. To me don't advertise something if it's not true

First off the buying process step by step was good. As far as the quality material of the homes wasn’t great. A lot of the items can be damaged and If carefully found during walk through it will not be covered under warranty after closing. Tree’s that was planted were not deep enough and was knocked down on a windy day also not covered warranty after closing as well. We had to dig the hole deeper and re planted ourselves. It feels like the home was built/installed in a rush.

Since we closed we had major plumbing issues and our dishwasher broke the other day. We have lived here for 1 month. I don’t t trust Lennar workmanship at all after hearing neighbors issues and online reviews on Lennar homes. I have anxiety living in a Lennar home due to poor warranty time frames and craftsmanship on the home. The price was ok I don’t think this home was worth $265,000 but we had to move so we took it. I do love the elementary school and amenities. It’s a beautiful neighborhood I’m just very confused on how small the streets are. It’s made for one vehicle at a time if ...

Honestly don’t know where to begin.. quick answer is that Lennar fits the exact definition of Quantity over quality. Don’t have the effort to repeat myself again on all the issues. Not to say there was not positive experiences during the process, however the negative over shadowed it. The most frustrating part is they were issues that could have been very easily corrected.

Walk thru was fast and not complete. Many exceptions to close. I was given the wrong key when I closed. People were working on my home after I CLOSED without permission from me. My garage just got fixed 3 plus months later. The light switch to my laundry room is behind the door. With all that being said, I know nothing is perfect. I recommend a very thorough walk thru.

This home was not built for me. I ended up buying this house but shared the issues with the home. The simplest issues where fixed partially. They caulked and painted the split door frame. When they painted they closed the doors so when I opened them the paint came off the doors. The cleaning crew was horrible. There are paint specs all over the quartz. The bathrooms and shelves are covered with paint and saw dust. The joint compound for the drywall on my ceiling has bubbled up. These are the things they need to fix and haven’t. Construction manager office is in front of me and when he sees ...

Everything went well with the exception of my Lennar Rep

I had a pleasant experience with my construction manager and my warranty tech that met me on site and explained everything to me. They both wonderful and only because of them, would I rate this super high. The absolute worst part of this experience was my Lennar Sales Rep. Martha didn't really explain anything I had asked her to. She just gave me the basic information and showed me the house. Thankfully, when I went to a different Lennar Sales Rep (Princeton Lennar was amazing!) the week before that explained everything very well and took care of me. I just wasn't approved for the house ...

Lennar - The house itself is great but the buying experience was difficult.

  • Joel S.

The house itself is great but the buying experience was difficult. There was a 1 month delay in closing and when I requested to change lenders (more than 1 month before the new close date) I was denied and told I would lose the house if I changed lenders. This made the process more difficult because Lennar Mortgage was the absolute worst part of my buying experience.

Lennar responded:
Hi Joel, thank you for sharing your review. We are sorry to hear about the multiple issues you faced during the buying and closing processes of your new home. We had a very long drawn out purchasing experience through the loan application, both the FHA and Lennar’s conventional loan people. They were very impatient when they wanted information but otherwise slow in keeping us informed as to what was happening. They asked for information that was none of their business and eventually told me that if I did not give them the information that the loan would not be approved. This process took weeks. I went to a bank and got an approval with 4 days. After move in, I (a former builder) found that there were house framing studs missing in places where it ...

Lennar responded:
Thank you for sharing your experience, Larry. We are sorry to hear that your homebuying process did not meet your expectations.

We also regret to hear that concerns about the framing were found after move-in. We encourage you to reach out to your local Customer Care Team by submitting any warrantable concerns through your Lennar account. Lennar, great house and prices, not so great service

There is much to say about the home buyer process that I have learned and thanks to Lennar, that was possible, but not in the way you may think. Firstly, Lennar prices and financing sell their houses, not their warranty, not the customer services, not their knowledge, nor the company itself really. Since Lennar Mortgage, Builders, and Title are all "separate" companies, this allows them to give you the run around and waste time on inquiries and questions you may have. Or if something is wrong in a document, they will say its the other company when truly it's one company masquerading as 3 ...

Lennar responded:
Thank you Hussain, for sharing your experience with us. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration you faced during your homebuying journey. We appreciate you sharing your positive experience with Alan and the home itself. I have shared your feedback with upper management for their review. My sales person was Brian, all around just rude! If it wasn’t for the price of the homes, I would have not bought from him. Rush construction manager fixed my issue very fast, he didn’t however power wash the concrete like promised, pretty muddy on my street. All in all, I think the experience could have been better

Everything was great except the sales rep Bryan. He doesn't return calls very unprofessional. He was the only downside of the process. He was not there when I closed they had to call someone else to give me my keys which took an hour. It is once he received my deposit he turns cold. Even when I first applied he didn't return calls to follow up. Thankful for the loan officer and others but the sales staff should be replaced. I would not recommend anyone to purchase based on his professionalism but everything was great

My first contact with Lennar was not good. I was supposed to meet a representative at a model house, I arrived ands she was not there. I tried to contact her and she said she was sending someone to meet me. I left since she was deceptive about the whole thing. If it were not for the Real Estate agent I used, I would not have bought a house from them. Their customer service is worse than the DMV. IF you email a question, they do not respond. You have to blast email them and everyone else involved in the process to get a response. The house is not badly constructed, they will use the cheapest ...
