I had a horrible experience with Lennar. The communication was horrible. I received "update" emails for the building process but, it was not correct. The building process was about 2 weeks behind from what the emails were saying was done/ to be done that week. During the scheduled "closing" week, I received communication from the Lennar team threatening to cancel the contract because I was not using their Lender. THE HOUSE WAS NOT CLOSE TO FINISH at the time of. They expected us to do a walk-through of an unfinished house that did not even have power or water running. They even forgot to ...

The main issue my wife and I had with lennar was the lack of communication during closing from the loan officer, loan processor and a little bit from the sales rep. Important things were not communicated to me, which complicated the closing a bit. Luckily my real estate agent was able to guide us and help us. At closing, we found several other people complaining about the same issues. The only thing that saves lennar from 1 star is Bill, who did the walk through with us. He was more than helpful.

The underwriting process was a complete mess. My close date had to be moved because of this. The underwriter and processor were so difficult to work with, I got approved a day before closing. The processor would not answer calls or emails and would keep requesting for the same document even though it had been uploaded multiple times. She would not call to clarify or nothing. The people in the office gave me a hard time, they were no help in getting the mail key and kept referring me to usps. I had to report the matter to higher ups to get the mail box issue fixed. Very poor craftsmanship.A few things already broke and we've only been in a little over a month. They stated that certain repairs had been done when they didn't. Poor materials used. Very poor roof craftsmanship. At closing they only gave us an envelope with a few papers instead of a full packet with copies of everything. 2 months in and we still don't know how to pay our HOA. No one ever informed us. Their new home orientation process is horrible. They don't do blue tape, instead they have to take pictures of everything which takes forever. Overall just not a pleasant experience.

The homes are not built with very high quality materials and they haven't installed with care, if you miss something in your home orientation, it's probably not covered by warranty and it will be your responsibility. I had issues with carpet and floor installation and they are not covered by warranty and I have to hire some people to fix my brand new house carpet.

Though the process was relatively quick the communication throughout the entire process needs work. I did have a third party inspection on my home and thankfully it was mostly cosmetic issues but there was a lot of sloppy work done on the home and some of it had to be redone prior to closing. The concrete driveway and sidewalks are sub-par and very sloppily done. They did a bad patch job where they chipped the concrete when removing the forms. The sales person was not helpful at all, most of the time she doesn't answer back or for the few times she did she was giving wrong information, my new neighbor had the same issue as well. Otherwise some of the floors in the house are not well leveled and also I fund some studs and trush buried under the sod and makes me question the quality of work and not trust your company. One good thing, the QA person who was in the final walk-through inspection was knowledgeable and had a good attitude.

After purchasing a home, it has ALWAYS been courteous of the sales/realtor to leave a gift basket especially since we are moving from out of state. We didn’t even receive a folder of suggested services. Our pipe burst within the first week we moved in and flooded the laundry and bedroom to where the carpet had to be replaced. So there’s a reason all the inspectors have a running joke about Lennar homes- because the blue tape walkthroughs are a joke. An entire cabinet in my kitchen is currently cracked completely in half. They installed it that way! The paint on my walls chips off if a fly lands on it. The workers are loud, messy, and lazy. There’s no standards on who they will hire as long as they do it fast, Lennar doesn’t care. Poor quality material, I requested a paper copy of the HOA bylaws, I was told by the HOA that LENNAR Title should provide that to me. Traci ignored all my calls regarding that. When I purchased my home from first Texas the HOA package was given to me on the day of closing. Money ain’t everything, no one cares about customer satisfaction

There was no effort to make the new home buying experience nice. I have bought 4 other new homes and this experience was the worst by a long shot. Additionally, the quality of the home is very poor, from appliances to dry wall work to doors not closing properly.

From two weeks after signing the purchase agreement, you can see the disorganization. The sales consultant was disorganized, inattentive, and unprofessional.
