Horrible home buying experience

My broker did not get paid and sales man kept her commission even though she went with me and I let him know via message that she was going with me. They stated that she didn’t walk in with me the first time that I walked in to ask questions, however, I was never told that she wouldn’t be getting a commission even though she went with me to all the walkthroughs/inspections. The buying experience was extremely stressful. There’s no guidance and communication. There’s a ton of urgency asking for this or that but, when I asked questions it took days to get an answer. The sales people just assume you know the process but, when you’re a first time buyer it’s very stressful.

The entire process using the internet and “portal” was a nightmare for this Baby Boomer! Everyone I encountered assumed I knew how to navigate, upload, download, scan, import to a file - and I still don’t! AND - I didn’t have a computer or the internet, so this experience left me with a bad impression of Lennar. I was treated like an absolute moron because I didn’t understand how to present documents or find one to sign!!!! And when I did ask for help, many people were impatient with my lack of understanding the technical lingo. Very unpleasant experience

Multiple issues upon moving including massive unfinished hole in pantry wall in which ants swarmed the kitchen less than a week upon moving in. Leaks in sinks. Problems with scheduling people to come out for repairs. The people that have come for repairs have been polite and overall helpful, however, in a new home these issues are disappointing. These are on top of the lack of communication from sellers and mortgage and issues that my realtor has never seen. And losing home insurance because Lennar never paid the first prior to selling installment.

My home buying process (1st time) was traumatizing. I was so excited at first but Ronnie was a huge bully and Jody was very condescending. Everything was rushed I had no time to think or weigh my options on anything . Ronnie made the experience the worse she was so rude and pushy. Jody would try to be helpful at times but her delivery and tone always seemed ask if I was bothering her. I wanted to back out so bad the only person I had a positive experience with was Taylor. Buying a home should be a time for celebration of a great achievement, instead, with Lennar Homes, this was a frustrating and disheartening experience. I paid cash so this should have been a seamless experience. However, with the exceptionally poor communication with all Lennar employees I worked with, the closing nearly didn't happen. Lennar does not respond to request after they have received your down payment. The worst company to work with in my opinion. Please do not go through Lennar if you can avoid it.

It’s been a roller coaster ride since the day since we signed the contract. Just to highlight our issues: - construction/closing delayed multiple times from December 2022 to April 2023 eventually. - the workmanship is below par at best. - the walls are not straight. If you point it out, the standard response is that it is within spec. - window sills are misaligned. My loan and mortgage officer Anna and Deacon were completely unresponsive for days leading up to closing and terrible about returning emails, texts, and phone calls. Very frustrating process. Our salesperson Trent showed us online a home with wood flooring and when we asked for photos of the home he sent us two photos are night showing very little. When we saw the hole with tile flooring and were upset he just said "well it was in the contract."

I’d heard negative stories from friends and my real estate agent about buying a home from Lennar, but I’m usually a pretty easy going guy, so I didn’t expect to actually have any issues with them. Do not recommend buying homes from Lennar ever. The home is fine, and we enjoy it compared to paying considerable amount of money to rental agencies, and we had to do a lot of work to our home after we purchased, in order for it to feel livable. Actual builder, Brad, is great! Super responsive and gets things done correctly himself. Salesman, Tommy, is a completely different story. He rarely if ever responded to questions or issues addressed.

The entire experience was extremely frustrating, once the initial agreement was done with Lennar, I had a terrible time getting any response from the sales team or the finance team. They had six to seven weeks to close the loan that was done through Lennar finance, however I got CD an hour before the actual closing was scheduled. Unfortunately, we had the worst service and now can’t get anyone to help communication by sales rep and managers was awful I am waiting still til today for Greg to call me who is hire up in sales it’s been death ear on top some one after paying homeowners insurance hippo cancelled insurance due to Lennar agent requested it very bad service all the way around had to live out of hotel with kids lost 2,500 was told I would get reimbursed and never did guy sold me a home he wanted and we had no choice than to loss more money
