Communication fell off a cliff after purchase of home and could not contact team unless I physically drove out there. Deadlines were continuously missed and since moving in there have been many things falling apart that should not be. Trim is falling off, there are cracks EVERYWHERE in the drywall, we are still missing pieces to our home, our dishwasher broke the first time we used it and weve been told it will be months before it can be fixed. We moved into a new home to minimize issues with repair but every weekend we are fixing something that is broken. The only thing that makes this house ...

I was not told the truth about a lot of things. The quality of the builders was not good. Once I moved in, someone left the floors so dirty full of mud and dust. They also decided to take a #2 in the owners suite. Lennar is so tacky and disgusting. After settling in the home you actually notice how bad the chaulking is, missing screws, drywall repair, horrible sod installation and garge door opener wires everywhere. Not to mention the warranty guy takes a long time to fix warranty request and keeps scratching the cheap floor lenar provided for this home. Very Disappointed

Last time I will buy Lennar

Buying a Lennar home has been the worse experience of buying a home, and I have bought several homes. From the lender process to resolving build issues has been a disaster. I filed a repair request after closing and it has now been 3 weeks and the issue still is not resolved. The repair has not been scheduled yet for it to be corrected. I would encourage people to be careful when dealing with Lennar.

Lennar responded:
Good morning Brian, and thank you for sharing your homebuying experience with us. We are sorry to hear that your experience has not met your expectations. Homeowners are doing their part of maintaining their properties. However, LANNAR is lacking on their part. Overgrown grass and weed make it difficult to use the sidewalks. In addition, to getting bit by animals or reptiles in the Overgrown grass and crap grass.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon Moin,

We understand your frustration with the overgrown grass and weeds. While maintaining the sidewalks typically falls under the responsibility of the homeowners association (HOA), we appreciate you bringing it to our attention.

If you don't have the HOA contact information readily available, our customer care representatives should be able to assist you in finding it. Please reach out to them by sending a warranty/service request using your Lennar Account.

Make sure to check everything before closing. They will rush you saying you will miss the closing by promising we will do it later. After closing, they will change it saying you have to reach out to warranty team. This is ridiculous. Hvac switches are interchanged, light dome is missing. Backyard landscaping screwed up. Lot more to say.. Sales person involve in everything and when you say something is not right, the response is let construction team handles it. Shame!!

There were many construction issues with the house whenever I did my final walk-through on 2/17, when the house was set to close on 2/22. As this community does not “blue tape“, I was asked to email all of the issues to the construction manager so that repairs can be made prior to closing. They set another walk-through for 2/21, at 4:30 PM. When I got there, most of the issues were fixed, but there were still plenty others that had not been addressed. Regrading of the lawn was to also be done, and that did not happen. Quality manager became frustrated with my pointing of persistent issues, to ...

Overall the buying experience wasn't as bad. My issues started with the home inspection after the build and then after I was told that all repairs had been taken care off which was not the case once I had closed. Make sure you are detailed on the home inspections, some of the materials used, specially for all the cabinetry are what I consider very low quality. From talking to my neighbors, it appears that the builder had many homes with the same issues within the neighborhood which shows either a lack of quality control and/or using sub par contractors. I understand that the pandemic has ...

I was originally told my closing would be June 8th when I put a contract on the house. Almost every other week my closing kept being put out. There would actually be weeks gone buy that no construction work was done on my house. I finally closed on July 23rd. This was an extreme inconvenience because I had sold my house and had to stay in a motel. I have numerous text messages in my phone to verify the above information. Also the landscaping is terrible. I pointed it out to the Lennar agent and at walk through. I did a work order on it and was told that landscaping is no covered. You ...

Hi, my experience with Lenora. It was very fast. I moved in my house less than 30 days. I had to break my lease so I owe the apartments moving into the house. It was a lot of unexpected cost that I didn’t know about was not aware of and nobody told me about it I have been living in my House Two months and I still cannot get my water in my name because the house is not up to cold. It’s no communication. I have tried several people emails. Nobody’s complying.

Lennar responded:
Good morning Latoya,

Thank you for your review. We sincerely apologize that your home-buying experience fell short of your expectations. Your feedback is very valuable to us, and I've already shared your concerns with upper management for their review. Day one I was promised Lennar would over communicate during the process however it was quite the opposite. It took me contacting every VP in Lennar to get responses from my salesperson and community rep. Once I finally got answers to questions, I would get the standard response of “I can’t answer that because so and so handles that.” When I arrived for my final walk through the cleaning team was still there so we worked around them. I will say the one person who did meet my expectations was the Lennar Mortgage team. If customer service is the name of the game in home buying, Lennar might ...

The house was delayed 3+ months with no satisfactory explanation. We scheduled closing, all processes started and then Lennar moved closing without notifying me. I learned through my insurance agent who got an email to hold the insurance policy. We didn't have CO until the morning of closing. Final walk through never happened, I signed things online for the sake of closing on this house. The sales team, construction and warranty team were so disconnected, it's unreal. Workmanship is poor quality, finding more and more issues as we get more settled- poor painting, lots of seal and caulk issues, cabinet colors don’t match, mouse infestation, the list goes on and on. Not all issues are covered which makes it more frustrating. Major issues with hot water, recently fixed after enormous gas bill.
