New home orientation advisor was a joke.

Builder was okay to work with. Lack of organization when it came to my closing date due to not having my CO which caused closing to be moved several times. Because I signed a materials shortage addendum some of the materials did not seem to be of equal value as to what was in the model. Mostly pertaining to the showers in the home. Also did not like my new home orientation advisor who was at my walk throughs. He was rude and argumentative throughout the whole process. He would argue about things such as how my elevation should look, which the builder did fix . Then in order to get me to ...

The entire build process was a mess because the communication between the sales member and he construction manager was awful. The sales member had no interest in assisting us through out the process once we signed the contract. We are still finding several construction issues and fear there could be some major problems we are unaware of. Do not recommend Lennar to anyone.

Lennar responded:

I will never recommend Lennar to anyone until my issues are resolved. I was rushed to closing with many things to still be resolved and many more that I have found afterwards. No response or fixing on most work orders. I’ve decided to now take legal action.

Could’ve done better with home materials

The builder could’ve done better with materials used to build the homes. Lennar at Woodcreek has slabs on the back of their homes but the Chamberlin community across the bridge does not even though the prices of the home were exactly the same. Lennar, build the street like $200k homes instead of $330k homes. If you look at other builders in the community, they’ve put in effort in providing the best stones and bricks. Lennar doesn’t care as long as they get their money. I’m disgusted and will be selling soon. Won’t be dealing with Lennar again. Unless they fix their mistake . 1 star ...

Not the most pleasant homebuying experience since this was my first home. Lennar needs to strongly improve their customer service, hire quality contractors to repair the home correctly the first time, and become more transparent with the homeowner about buying a house through Lennar.

Buying a lennar home is not for the weak, loan officer's are terrible, unknowledgable, Unorganized and truly do not have the customers interest in mind. That goes all the way to management, my l9an officer kept putting blame on others and not fixing anything such as my disclosures being incorrect multiple times and him saying that it didn't matter only the final one matters. Then a manager took over my loan, and he was rude and disrespectful, stuff sent incorrect disclosures, and then chose to tell me I was "high maintenance" because I had to reach out to him everytime something was sent to ...

My broker did not get paid and sales man kept her commission even though she went with me and I let him know via message that she was going with me. They stated that she didn’t walk in with me the first time that I walked in to ask questions, however, I was never told that she wouldn’t be getting a commission even though she went with me to all the walkthroughs/inspections. We contacted his manager and higher ups and no one cared they also responded in a rude and unprofessional way making me think that they only care about making a sale. This put me in an uncomfortable situation as I became ...

The buying experience was extremely stressful. There’s no guidance and communication. There’s a ton of urgency asking for this or that but, when I asked questions it took days to get an answer. The sales people just assume you know the process but, when you’re a first time buyer it’s very stressful.

The entire process using the internet and “portal” was a nightmare for this Baby Boomer! Everyone I encountered assumed I knew how to navigate, upload, download, scan, import to a file - and I still don’t! AND - I didn’t have a computer or the internet, so this experience left me with a bad impression of Lennar. I was treated like an absolute moron because I didn’t understand how to present documents or find one to sign!!!! And when I did ask for help, many people were impatient with my lack of understanding the technical lingo. Very unpleasant experience

Multiple issues upon moving including massive unfinished hole in pantry wall in which ants swarmed the kitchen less than a week upon moving in. Leaks in sinks. Problems with scheduling people to come out for repairs. The people that have come for repairs have been polite and overall helpful, however, in a new home these issues are disappointing. These are on top of the lack of communication from sellers and mortgage and issues that my realtor has never seen. And losing home insurance because Lennar never paid the first prior to selling installment.

My home buying process (1st time) was traumatizing. I was so excited at first but Ronnie was a huge bully and Jody was very condescending. Everything was rushed I had no time to think or weigh my options on anything . Ronnie made the experience the worse she was so rude and pushy. Jody would try to be helpful at times but her delivery and tone always seemed ask if I was bothering her. I wanted to back out so bad the only person I had a positive experience with was Taylor. When we did our walk thru she was nice informative and willing to help

Buying a home should be a time for celebration of a great achievement, instead, with Lennar Homes, this was a frustrating and disheartening experience. I paid cash so this should have been a seamless experience. However, with the exceptionally poor communication with all Lennar employees I worked with, the closing nearly didn't happen. Lennar staff refused to give me the keys to my home hours after funds had been wired, because I would not fraudulently sign paperwork of things they had not done. I understand that Lennar is a lower cost builder, but that shouldn't mean you get discounted and ...

If I could give a 0 I would. I have barely been in my home a month and the paint is already chipping on this cheap siding y’all used. Some of the door knobs are loose. I called to get help with the thermostat you wanted to do a virtual call and couldn’t help with something so simple. I referred 2 friends which I’m sorry I did because y’all gave and is still giving 1 a bad experience. It’s been a roller coaster ride since the day since we signed the contract. Just to highlight our issues: - construction/closing delayed multiple times from December 2022 to April 2023 eventually. - the workmanship is below par at best. - the walls are not straight. If you point it out, the standard response is that it is within spec. - window sills are misaligned. I had to follow up almost daily and eventually fixed it on the morning of closing. - The paint used and the job is shoddy. Wipe with a damp cloth and the paint comes off! Even the lightest touch will scuff the walls and ...

My loan and mortgage officer Anna and Deacon were completely unresponsive for days leading up to closing and terrible about returning emails, texts, and phone calls. Very frustrating process. Our salesperson Trent showed us online a home with wood flooring and when we asked for photos of the home he sent us two photos are night showing very little. When we saw the hole with tile flooring and were upset he just said "well it was in the contract."

Working with Lennar was a nightmare. I’d heard negative stories from friends and my real estate agent about buying a home from Lennar, but I’m usually a pretty easy going guy, so I didn’t expect to actually have any issues with them. I was very wrong. Two of my friends who were also moving into this development backed out of their contract and sacrificed their $3,000 deposit because of how bad their bad experience was. Instead, they went with a DR Horton development and loved it. I decided to stick with Lennar, but in retrospect, I wish I would’ve backed out too. Their communication is ...

Do not recommend buying homes from Lennar ever. The home is fine, and we enjoy it compared to paying considerable amount of money to rental agencies, and we had to do a lot of work to our home after we purchased, in order for it to feel livable. The process of buying a home with Lennar was 0 out of 5 stars. We almost didn’t go through with the buying based on the communication and lack of willingness to fix issues with the home prior to close. I just moved in to this brand new construction and I found out how bad the finishing and the materials quality are poor: all doors and baseboards are chipped, the guest bathroom tub is broken, toilette lid is broken in the master, appliances have dents, garage walls and ceilings not painted, cracks in the garage ceiling and concrete, cracks on the patio concrete, etc I submitted a SR to have things fixed before I move in to the house and they insisted in doing an online inspection even though I informed I have no internet connected in the house and the 5G signal was bad.
