From the start of our home-buying experience to the end, we have had issue after issue - from trying to work with Lennar mortgage to the sales office, we have had to continually push *upper management* for a response. Although our home was move-in ready when we started the process, our closing date was delayed three times without so much as an apology - there has been absolutely no transparency through the process. If you can buy with anyone else DO IT. Issues after issue, getting information/returned calls… umm yeah right. Praying on people with no knowledge of the mortgage industry and you should steer clear.

Terrible, terrible experience all around with this builder. I closed on a property by Lennar. I called the City of Dallas Water Utility service on the next business day and was told a building permit remained opened on the property. I notified the construction manager promptly as well as Lennar Warranty service, only to be told that it will be addressed on that week, then the week after, and every week I got the same story. I had to inform them that I needed to move in and gave them a few weeks to figure it out, but as long as the permit remains open the City wouldn’t allow me to establish ...

From beginning to end, this home-buying experience has been a nightmare. The salesman was unresponsive to our issue with an unfinished garage wall. The Title Company used by the builder was also responsive to our requests to meet in person for the purchase agreement signing. Worst of all, they recorded the WRONG names with the county. When asked when it would be corrected, I had to file two complaints with Headquarters in order to get things fixed. Agreed to buy home at $30k at 3.99%. The morning of closing they changed rate to 4.79%. Have made 7 warranty claims in 3 months. No windows in back of home that open. Cracks in the ceiling. The underwriting process was awful.

Our experience with Lennar builders was bad from start to finish. We were pressured into a walk-thru before the house was completed. This resulted in additional pressure to close before the end of the month and before fixes were complete. We were told during the walk-thru that we would be supplied touch-up paint, which we didn't receive. We have asked several times for specific color names that were used and still have not received. A horrible experience. First, communication with everyone from sales to the mortgage team has to improve. There was no proactive communication from any of the representatives, except, obviously when something was needed from us. They changed our closing day three times, each of those times without advance notification. Bought the home and the move it was rushed. During the inspection the builder hid flaws on the counter top by taping the inspection notice over the defect during the walk thru. Once we closed the build has forced us to go thru the customer care site to fix problems and it has been a nightmare. Customer care rep is unresponsive, has not fixed any of our several issues and when I complained the customer care rep called me and berated me for complaining. 2 months in and I really regret using Lennar. Very disgusted with this builder and will never use or recommend to anyone.

There are lot of problems with the finishing like painting and caulking. Especially the finishing is very bad and rushed for closing.

The Lennar sales team was terrible throughout the entire buying process. Our home closed 5 months after initial projection. This, while frustrating, is understandable given the issues businesses are facing right now. What isn't understandable is the complete dearth of information and even general communication from beginning to end. No explanations were given besides "supply chain issues" and that was when we could get an answer at all. Not my first Lennar home but will be the last. Home not complete on Closing Day and home has very shoddy workmanship and does not have finishes stated when signing contract. In this very tight market I believe I was taken advantage of and now it’s time to handle. Beware!

Worst home buying experience ever!

Lennar is a shady company that builds cheap houses and doesn't stand behind it's work. I have had so many issues with this home. Which have still not all been addressed. Lennar Lending is a joke and almost caused me to be homeless after they were going against Home Lending laws. Horrible experience. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.

Worst of the Worst

Mortgage process was more painful that an inquisition. Materials and workmanship is pretty cheap. House wasn't cleaned before handed over to me and it has way too many repairs that need to be done, the more toy look, the more you find. Won't recommend Lennar not even to my worst enemy.

Attitude of sales guy,the disappointment with closing dates

Seller wasn't the most responsive, has an attitude and seem like there was no accountability within the system when reported to higher ups. Closing moved 5 times, family stayed in an extended stay for 2months. Home orientation scheduled while home was not completed yet and then threatened for not completing orientation on an incomplete building. Displeasure about the whole process

Lennar tricks you by telling you that certain things are included, items are installed to code, floor plans, etc. Then you find problems with everything. Lennar - Actual experience Window coverings (shades) included - not on all windows. Electrical installed to code - so far lights and outlets were found that did not meet code Painting will be complete right after walkthrough - it’s been 2 months and still is not complete Standard windows - that don’t open (imagine your smoke detector going off every time you cook) We will leave the spare tile for you - did not leave spare ...
