It’s been a roller coaster ride since the day since we signed the contract. Just to highlight our issues: - construction/closing delayed multiple times from December 2022 to April 2023 eventually. - the workmanship is below par at best. - the walls are not straight. If you point it out, the standard response is that it is within spec. - window sills are misaligned. I had to follow up almost daily and eventually fixed it on the morning of closing. - The paint used and the job is shoddy. Wipe with a damp cloth and the paint comes off! Even the lightest touch will scuff the walls and ...

Buy experience with lennar selling agent agent, inspection and warranty manager is not happy.

Buying home with Lennar is nightmare, I would not recommend anyone go with Lennar at least in Sutton fields. 1) To start with Ronnie (sales agent) She is one point of contact who gave me 20 min to select a home and never picked my call after booking, responds only text message, no regular update on construction or meeting with construction manager. For any questions asked she was rude and will threaten like you can cancel your home if you are not happy. No updates provided as a courtesy to us on changing home Brick color, removing vinyl on bed room or delay in construction time. I must ...

Lennar Mortgage is terrible. Salespeople like used car salesmen

My loan and mortgage officer Anna and Deacon were completely unresponsive for days leading up to closing and terrible about returning emails, texts, and phone calls. Very frustrating process. Our salesperson Trent showed us online a home with wood flooring and when we asked for photos of the home he sent us two photos are night showing very little. When we saw the hole with tile flooring and were upset he just said "well it was in the contract."

Working with Lennar was a nightmare. I’d heard negative stories from friends and my real estate agent about buying a home from Lennar, but I’m usually a pretty easy going guy, so I didn’t expect to actually have any issues with them. I was very wrong. Two of my friends who were also moving into this development backed out of their contract and sacrificed their $3,000 deposit because of how bad their bad experience was. Instead, they went with a DR Horton development and loved it. I decided to stick with Lennar, but in retrospect, I wish I would’ve backed out too. Their communication is ...

Do not recommend buying homes from Lennar ever. The home is fine, and we enjoy it compared to paying considerable amount of money to rental agencies, and we had to do a lot of work to our home after we purchased, in order for it to feel livable. The process of buying a home with Lennar was 0 out of 5 stars. We almost didn’t go through with the buying based on the communication and lack of willingness to fix issues with the home prior to close. We were so frustrated we were willing to lose our 3k deposit. If you do happen to buy a Lennar home, know that you will like your home as long as ...

I just moved in to this brand new construction and I found out how bad the finishing and the materials quality are poor: all doors and baseboards are chipped, the guest bathroom tub is broken, toilette lid is broken in the master, appliances have dents, garage walls and ceilings not painted, cracks in the garage ceiling and concrete, cracks on the patio concrete, etc I submitted a SR to have things fixed before I move in to the house and they insisted in doing an online inspection even though I informed I have no internet connected in the house and the 5G signal was bad. This is my second home I bought from Lennar and it is the worst experience I ever had. First, The seller is empty promise, example - Promise to close on Oct, Nov and finally close in Dec. We agreed not escrow property tax in monthly payment. last minute still want to escrow and penalty 1% of I want to take out the escrow. I bought 8 houses in my life so far, I never heard such thing that you have to escrow property tax, they said company policy, if it is than let us know before we purchased and put the deposited. I am not happy with the house detail finish, however I got to moved out ...

For poor service and attention to details from Lennar lender. Made several mistake and miscommunications throughout throughout the process. Myself who is in the financial industry and worked as a Mortgage specialist found this process to be very difficult with horrible communication. After closing we arrive back to the home to find the contractors from next door tracking mud in the home eating. They had finger prints on the wall and etc. when I contacted the builder they stated “Lennar never marked the house as sold”. So the contractors were hanging out listening to music during there ...

Feedback Regarding Home Buying Experience, Build Quality, and Warranty Issues

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my overall home buying experience and the ongoing warranty issues related to my new home. From the beginning, the process was stressful and poorly communicated. Many concerns that were raised prior to closing were either rushed, dismissed, or left unresolved. As a buyer, I expected transparency, accountability, and a reasonable level of care—especially when making such a significant investment. Since moving into the home, I have experienced multiple build quality issues that should not exist in a newly constructed property. ...

I am local to the home office, but was forced to close via remote video. Therefore no one was face to face to hand me the keys to my home. I asked how this would be handled and was assured they would have my keys at the neighborhood model home. I reached out to them after closing and was assured someone would be at the model home to provide me my keys that afternoon until 630PM, I drove the 45 minutes to the model home and no one was there. This started the lies and misinformation for the next 72 hours. I was told multiple stories about what the issue was. Finally they admitted they had lost ...

Sales in this area are terrible - if you are looking go to Anna or McKinney as they have responsive sales people, not here. After closing when I took possession I arrived to find my house unlocked, the door scraped and a stain on the carpet. I contacted my salesperson and she replied "ok". Team at Lennar will not even resolve issues that were pointed out before closing. Their VP told us to take it or leave it as they are not going to repair the fixes we pointed out. After moving in(Rise at Legacy hills,Celina), I quickly noticed several issues caused by poor-quality materials and workmanship. Lennar even planted a dead plant, which they refused to cover under warranty. I reported it within a week, but they still placed the responsibility on me as the homeowner. In the bathroom, the caulking was not done properly, leading to water leakage from the faucet within the first week, yet they insisted this was a homeowner maintenance issue. The blinds that were offered as an incentive turned out to be extremely cheap and do not function properly. The lock has ...
