Lennar - Actual builder, Brad, is great!

  • Jayden W.
  • Verified HomeBuyer
  • March 31, 2021
  • Forney, TX

Actual builder, Brad, is great! Super responsive and gets things done correctly himself. Salesman, Tommy, is a completely different story. He rarely if ever responded to questions or issues addressed.

Lennar responded:
Thank you, Jayden. We apology for the communication and resolution issues you have outlined. If there is anything we can do to assist, please send us a message at corporatecustomercare@lennar.com with any additional details you can provide and we will follow-up. - Lennar Customer Care

Poor experience and full of disappointment

Our experience has been horrible. The house was poorly built and the responses to fix this items have been challenging. The roof company did not do the roof correctly. I had to hired an independent roof inspector 3 times and showed them proof of the items they did not fix. They had to come and “fix the roof” 5 times. That cost me 700 dollar to ensure they do it right. As of right now I am still fighting for them to fix over 15 mayor items. One of them being the floor that has a significant slope. In which the floor contractor stated “we are not on the business of making the floor level”. ...

Had the worst experience ever with the sales agent. Left multiple messages with several different offices to have a manager call me no one ever called me back. I would not recommend Lennar homes to anyone. I have never given any builder or any business a bad review this is the first time.

Feedback Regarding Home Buying Experience, Build Quality, and Warranty Issues

  • Tayyab B.

  • Little Elm, TX

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my overall home buying experience and the ongoing warranty issues related to my new home. From the beginning, the process was stressful and poorly communicated. Many concerns that were raised prior to closing were either rushed, dismissed, or left unresolved. As a buyer, I expected transparency, accountability, and a reasonable level of care—especially when making such a significant investment. Since moving into the home, I have experienced multiple build quality issues that should not exist in a newly constructed property. ...

I am local to the home office, but was forced to close via remote video. Therefore no one was face to face to hand me the keys to my home. I asked how this would be handled and was assured they would have my keys at the neighborhood model home. I reached out to them after closing and was assured someone would be at the model home to provide me my keys that afternoon until 630PM, I drove the 45 minutes to the model home and no one was there. This started the lies and misinformation for the next 72 hours. I was told multiple stories about what the issue was. Finally they admitted they had lost ...

Sales in this area are terrible - if you are looking go to Anna or McKinney as they have responsive sales people, not here. After closing when I took possession I arrived to find my house unlocked, the door scraped and a stain on the carpet. I contacted my salesperson and she replied "ok". Items I was assured were completed indeed were not. I could continue but you get the picture. The closing experience was great! My loam officer was incredible and made it easy.

Team at Lennar will not even resolve issues that were pointed out before closing. Their VP told us to take it or leave it as they are not going to repair the fixes we pointed out. Example, screws were not covered in the garage which should have been. Entry had pink all over the entrance. They do not stand up their core values - https://www.lennar.com/about/core-values

After moving in(Rise at Legacy hills,Celina), I quickly noticed several issues caused by poor-quality materials and workmanship. Lennar even planted a dead plant, which they refused to cover under warranty. I reported it within a week, but they still placed the responsibility on me as the homeowner. In the bathroom, the caulking was not done properly, leading to water leakage from the faucet within the first week, yet they insisted this was a homeowner maintenance issue. The blinds that were offered as an incentive turned out to be extremely cheap and do not function properly. The lock has ...

Unpleasant experience overall. Felt very rushed and like all Lennar staff was too busy to take a second and explain the home buying process to me. Lots of unanswered questions and just neglect as a customer in general. Maintenance warranty requests take a while. Ronaldo is someone who stands out as he was extremely condescending and unhelpful.

Poor customer experience

The home buying experience felt extremely rushed and disorganized. During my final walkthrough, key components of the home were still incomplete—including the absence of both a sink and a dishwasher—as well as several other unresolved issues. Despite these concerns, the closing proceeded, and I ultimately took possession of a home that was far from move-in ready. After closing, I discovered multiple damaged cabinets throughout the home. Additionally, I had been told that blinds would be included as part of the home package, yet these were never provided. I attempted to address these issues ...

The first day didn't go too bad. Met with someone in the sales office. All he did was spend 5 min telling me which houses I could look at and gave me a map. I went and found them on my own. I assumed all the features on the website were accurate and since nobody had spent any time with me I didn't know any different. I asked questions but it turns out much of what was advertised for the neighborhood was just flat out incorrect. No gas utilities, no granite, no tile in the bathrooms or laundry rooms. False advertisement about amenities and closing process rushed

The Cypress Creek West website explicitly stated amenities, swimming pool and children's playground would be onsite. However, after the earnest money deposit is made (which I would loose if I withdrew) I later discovered these amenities are located in different communities across the street, requiring shared access. Worst experience with Lennar start to finish

  • Varun A.
  • Verified HomeBuyer
  • January 11, 2025
  • Princeton, TX

We had the worst experience in home buying with Lennar in Princeton. The sales agent Connor Frank was rude, arrogant and held a lot of information just to make the sale. There were numerous issues with the house and the workmanship which were not properly addressed before closing. After closing there is no one interested in resolving the issues. Connor Frank is the worst agent you could possibly come across and Lennar is possibly the work builder to buy a home. They have stopped responding to calls and texts and do not want to resolve the issues even under the warranty.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon Varun, Thank you for your feedback on your recent Lennar home purchase. We sincerely apologize for the experience you've had. We take your feedback seriously and we would like to offer further assistance with outstanding warranty items. Please email a detailed list of the remaining issues to CorporateCustomerCare@Lennar.com referencing this review. The overall home quality is poor. The workmanship is horrible with lots of items unfinished and poorly done. It seems to be no quality control of the workers work. Appliances are cheap and dangerous.
