Poor customer experience

  • Mesquite, TX

The home buying experience felt extremely rushed and disorganized. During my final walkthrough, key components of the home were still incomplete—including the absence of both a sink and a dishwasher—as well as several other unresolved issues. Despite these concerns, the closing proceeded, and I ultimately took possession of a home that was far from move-in ready. After closing, I discovered multiple damaged cabinets throughout the home. Additionally, I had been told that blinds would be included as part of the home package, yet these were never provided. I attempted to address these issues ...

Not much of a great house as expected from a Lennar Homes

  • Dahlia L.

  • Pilot Point, TX

Great points - processing the loan only took 4-6 weeks to complete. Sprinkler system is included. Tankless water heater. Not so great - Mortgage loan officer needs better communication with buyer so there are no surprises when it comes to paying closing costs. Sending multiple closing costs disclosures creates confusion on the buyer Not so great - House bought for $245k does not live up to par with the house I bought 3 years ago for $219k. The house is built as basic as it can be. No linen cabinets, no towel bars in bathrooms (seriously?!), no glass enclosure for shower in master ...

We’re Thankful

Our main concern is that we weren’t given the information we’d asked for. We didn’t know that there is Soltera South and North. We asked the salesperson about the HOA charges which are very high but she didn’t explain to us. We were looking for a home at Solitera but this lady didn’t give us full information about the location of Solitera amenities. We’re disappointed by this. We feel we’re scammed. There’s no Lenner in main soltera. We the south Soltera we’re paying HOA double for what isn’t benefiting us directly. I feel that we’re scammed by Lenner using Soltera name to sale their homes. ...

Not the best experience with Lennar, or Lee our rep

  • Casey J.
  • Verified HomeBuyer
  • April 11, 2025
  • McKinney, TX

The start of our home buying process began smoothly, with a virtual tour and quickly finding a floor plan that was available and fit our timeline. Everything after that went downhill. We had some trouble communicating the specifics of our loan information with our MLO, primarily the fact we wanted the house in both our names, and some other key details around the cash to close which were not addressed until the last week before the holidays. Our sales rep, Lee, was hard to get a response out of for a while until our closing. We closed the day that the snow storm hit McKinney and no one ...

My experience with Lennar was worst.

My experience from start to end was worst. Lost of lying from different Lennar Reps in terms of what they are telling verbally and cheating with signed doc. Hiding lot of details from customer up front. I made sure to convey my experience with my community who are heavy in investment in real estate to beware from scamming Lennar with all proofs I had. Thank you, Vimlesh

Would never purchase from Lennar again

My home buying process was a roller coaster, to say the least. It started with a classic bait-and-switch tactic regarding the deal, followed by misleading information about loan qualifications. To get me interested, I was told that I qualified for a USDA loan based on my circumstances. However, after I submitted my earnest money—which is supposed to be refundable—I was suddenly informed that I didn’t meet the qualifications after all. This was particularly frustrating because my agreement to move forward was contingent on using that specific loan. Despite that, they refused to refund my ...

Worst experience out of 3

  • Richard M.

The first day didn't go too bad. Met with someone in the sales office. All he did was spend 5 min telling me which houses I could look at and gave me a map. I went and found them on my own. I assumed all the features on the website were accurate and since nobody had spent any time with me I didn't know any different. I asked questions but it turns out much of what was advertised for the neighborhood was just flat out incorrect. No gas utilities, no granite, no tile in the bathrooms or laundry rooms. Later I asked when I was getting my smart lock, smart thermostat, and smart doorbell ...

I was not told the truth about a lot of things. The quality of the builders was not good. Once I moved in, someone left the floors so dirty full of mud and dust. They also decided to take a #2 in the owners suite. Lennar is so tacky and disgusting. After settling in the home you actually notice how bad the chaulking is, missing screws, drywall repair, horrible sod installation and garge door opener wires everywhere. Not to mention the warranty guy takes a long time to fix warranty request and keeps scratching the cheap floor lenar provided for this home. Very Disappointed

I didn’t use Lennar’s lenders. I closed with my own. The customer service has been great and everyone I’ve worked with. However, what I don’t appreciate is them allowing investors to come in and make the neighborhood I bought in mostly renters. I chose the neighborhood and area because I wanted a nice place to raise my family but now there will be a revolving door or renters.
