Very Annoying Experience, however...

Ultimately, I'm happy with my new house, everything was built properly, and professionally, and if there was a defect, it was fixed. My Experience was annoying during the process of signing the paperwork. Whenever they needed me to sign something, it was while i was at work helping out a customer, and because I did not sign or read their emails immediately, I was sent a second notice that read, "as of this time, on this day, at this hour we sent this document to you and you have still not responded." how rude and they continued this behavior after I've told them multiple times that I'm not ...
Lennar responded:
Thank you for sharing your feedback, Eric. We sincerely apologize for the frustrating experience you had during the paperwork process for your new home. We understand how disruptive it can be to receive multiple requests for signatures while you are at work, and we regret that our communication was not up to your ...

Over all is good. The workmanship of the house is good, however after we moved in the floor of the padio and the garage cracked and we were told the warranty does not cover that. That's a little disappointment. It's only a month since we lived. Cracked floor should be maintained by them.

Rocky process but it got done

Overall experience was a bit rocky, there is a huge lack of communication at times during the process which causes anxiety and unnecessary stress. I didn’t know I would be closing for sure until after 5pm the day before, it was very stressful. Also when I actually picked up my keys, the person who sold me the house was out for paternity leave (so happy for him) but the person there was real impersonal, just handed me the keys and was like good day. I was disappointed because buying a house is a big deal.

Experience ok with builder-loan officer was horrendous

I have purchased about 15 homes in my adult life due to job moves. This by far was the worst loan experience I have ever had. Our loan officer, Amanda Claxton, gave incorrect information each time a question was asked. She has no eye for detail and is “ok with things not being exactly right”. I have never heard those words from someone working in finance. She told us things that simply were not true in multiple occasions and when we called her out she denied it even though I have it in email. When she doesn’t know the answer to a question she just makes one up. Simply the worst experience.

Initially I had doubt in my mind. But after my pre-qualification. I was told it got approved. Then the process begin and end on time of the day closing. They kept their promises, and shown total professionalism toward the customer.

the lennar team did a great job with my entire home buying process. from start to finish. from sales to closing. so glad I caught them building my house that I didn't know I needed, until I actually needed to move into it right away when I sold my home. the timing was impeccable, couldn't make this up if I wanted to. thank you lennar - chef's kiss!

We have been trying to buy for 5 years and could never qualify let alone afford a home in the DFW area until this year. The buying experience was great with Lennar, they were very transparent in what we were getting into. The numbers were spot on. The home is new so it’s great when it comes to knowing what we’re getting. There was some dishonesty in the selling process: we were told when we did our new home owner orientation walkthrough, that no one could be let into the home after that point until closing day as the locks changed and they wouldn’t be able to access the house. House was ...

From the start of our home-buying experience to the end, we have had issue after issue - from trying to work with Lennar mortgage to the sales office, we have had to continually push *upper management* for a response. Although our home was move-in ready when we started the process, our closing date was delayed three times without so much as an apology - there has been absolutely no transparency through the process. Lennar emailed us early on saying to ensure we reply quickly to emails or requests, however, Lennar is excruciatingly slow in getting anything done. If you’re willing to be ...

Our sales rep was very communicative and responsive and when trouble arose she took the reins and jumped in to help us. If it were not for our sales rep Hailey, I would have walked from the deal. The home buying concierge assigned to us was so bad—she was non-responsive, didn’t return calls or emails. She was incorrectly relaying information from the project manager to me and probably from me to him. She also gave misinformation that confused and frustrated me. Overall, I would probably choose Lennar again but I would shop around with other builders as well to compare.

Michael was our sales person. Amazing experience. Professional and accurate execution. Lennar Mortage…was almost perfect but they didn’t pay all of the HOA yet so we are having to be the middle man for it. Warranty after the buy…big ZERO. I’ll just go straight to the big one: neighbor had drainage issue in backyard, James from warranty told her she needed a french drain (she did not, it hasn’t rained), Lennar hired a sub contracted party to install this drain. (what appeared to be) a non licensed non certified irrigation professional). These guys broke my neighbors irrigation in back ...

The subs need to do the job right the first time. I’ve had 5 major issue with my lawn. 2 broken sprinkler lines, one not burried, lawn died and replaced. This is my 3rd Lennar home I’ve bought and I’m sure Lennar won’t respond to this but that’s life. So probably my last Lennar I’ll buy.

Our salesman, Norman, kept trying to sell us something we did not want and, although, we were #1 on a house, we walked in on a conversation with another prospective where he was about to sell them the house we had been promised. We were just waiting for the house to be released to put our money down. We have had trouble getting warranty work completed. We had a private inspection done and some of those issues, which were supposed to be addressed before we moved in still have not been completed. One guy forgot the paint he needed, said he would close the ticket and reopen it when he got back ...

Bill and John in the sales office where absolutely fantastic! 10 out of a 10 would recommend every day of the week! The house I've had issues one after the other starting week 3 of owning it. I've had electrical issues, plumbing, a rood leak, nails popping from the sheet rock, and a crack above a window. These seems like a lot for a BRAND NEW HOUSE. Warranty doesn't communicate very well and I have to reach out to get info. I've only own the house for about 6 weeks and can't fully move in due to all of the issues. Hopefully, I'll get it all fixed and I will get to enjoy my new house.

Mixed emotions about my experience
- Maria M.

My experience with Lennar Homes was mixed. On one hand, Omar, the builder rep, was incredibly helpful and available to answer questions. His guidance throughout the home buying process made things a bit smoother. However, one aspect that I found slightly inconvenient was their complete reliance on electronic documentation. I personally prefer having some paper documents for reference, not just QR codes to look everything up on a screen or log into a portal. Issues that were found during inspection were addressed prior to move-in, there were a couple of items that required attention ...
