Bad workmanship on homes

I recently purchased a home, and I must say I'm quite disappointed with the workmanship. There are several noticeable flaws throughout the property that were overlooked during construction. The finishing touches seem rushed, and the overall quality falls short of what I expected for the price I paid. I've encountered problems with electrical outlets, and even some structural concerns. It's frustrating to deal with these issues so soon after moving in. I hope the builders can address these problems promptly, as it's been a rather unpleasant start to my homeownership journey."

Before we moved in it was very attentive to my needs, which should have been done before I had to pick them out. Not little scratches on walls but Sprinkler lines broke and spraying water in the air, doors jammed shut and was hard to open. Air handler doors off... No lights in a closet. As of 2 months later still nothing is fixed. I had to have a sprinkler guy come stop the water being wasted running down the street. Im pretty sure I will not be buying another Lennar home .

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon Clifton, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you have been having issues with your home. I will share your feedback with the appropriate team for their review and assistance.
In the future, if there are any general questions or warrantable issues, please do not hesitate to contact us by submitting a warranty request online through your Lennar Account. Once the contract to purchase was signed it was all downhill from there. My contact onsite never kept the commitments he made to reach out. He and the loan rep at Lennar Mortgage didn't communicate with each other. The loan rep never reached out unless I pestered him. The time and location for the doc signing was arbitrarily set and had to be rearranged at the last minute. After move it there has been many issues - range has gas smell, grading of the landscape causing ponding, doorbell doesn't work, the sprinklers are not set up correctly, and more - none of which has been addressed. The post ...

Home quality is in par but the overall process was just a nightmare. There is a lack of coordination between departments and as a seller i had to constantly follow up on the process. Mortgage was also a pain to deal with. Every person needed hand holding to get me to close. It maybe because we were one of the first few movers in the community but i hope they fix the process.

The floor plan is beautiful but the workmanship is lacking. It is like Lennar dropped every door before putting them in and they rushed on touch ups, using the wrong paint in many cases. They lack attention to detail. They also outsource their work and there doesn’t seem to be much oversight or quality control.

For a first time buyer I was so excited on buying my first house and spend time with family and friends. But now that the time passes by I get to notice a lot of stuff that isn’t right and that the contractors and builders let it slide under the rug so they could sell, sell and sell ,not focusing on quality and safety of the people that it’s planning to stay in the new house for the rest of their lives. Per example crooked wall in the kitchen and door of living room swings by itself because of that. Roof trusses, 2x4’s cheap and a lot of pieces look like a dog chewed on them and they ...

We moved into our new Lennar home about a month ago. For the price we paid, I would expect the quality of the home build to be great but I have been sorely mistaken. The paint job is terrible. Some base boards were primed but not painted. It seems like there was only one coat of paint applied to the whole house and actually needs to have 2. There were scratches on faucets and cabinets. Glue on the tile. Multiple chipped tiles through out the house. Paint on the tile. Light switches hung crooked. The house was not cleaned well prior to us moving in. I have submitted for warranty and they have ...

Very poor service after sale. Do not recommend this builder. You will not be a priority after you close. Warranty repairs have poor workmanship and take longer to fix than it takes to build the house.

I bought this home, thinking that it was a quality built home. However, after my walk-through and their repairs were done, they left paint speckles all throughout my floor in my home. When I called to let them know about these paint speckles all over the floor of my brand new home. I was told it was my problem now. 2) Wind storm came through less than a month after I bought my home. I was told they would not cover it because there was an excess of 70 mph wind gusts. However, after the insurance inspection and an inspection by a professional roofing company, I was told that the roof was ...

Ultimately, I'm happy with my new house, everything was built properly, and professionally, and if there was a defect, it was fixed. My Experience was annoying during the process of signing the paperwork. Whenever they needed me to sign something, it was while i was at work helping out a customer, and because I did not sign or read their emails immediately, I was sent a second notice that read, "as of this time, on this day, at this hour we sent this document to you and you have still not responded." how rude and they continued this behavior after I've told them multiple times that I'm not ...

The homebuying experience was poor. Sales staff were dodgy about answering questions and not very transparent about the homebuying process. It was a sellers market and this was an apportunity for builders to show what kind of seller they were going to be and they showed it. They quoted us a close date of March (i think to entice me to buy the house), We actually closed at the end of June after delay after delay. I understand it was a pandemic but this was ridiculous. After so many delays and i was frustrated with them, they actually said 'if you don't want those house we can just go to the ...

We had a terrible buying experience. The lack of communication was our main issue. Katelyn was passive aggressive and would speak to me as if I were a child because I would ask the wrong people questions. It was our first time purchasing a home and we had such a terrible experience after signing contract until we closed. Immediately after we closed we had sewage backing into our tubs/sinks, since it was an emergency it was promptly repaired. Our other issues have now taken 3 weeks to even get a response from their team. We do not have any pool access despite calling multiple times a week to ...
