I didn’t care for the experience Lennar had to offer, from loan approval to buying. You guys talk a big talk to get us in, but I didn’t care for the final product, I’m not one to complain because I know how to fix anything. But truly Lennar if I could say sux, I would but I just can’t. Anyhoo, I will not recommend anyone to go through this experience said to say, I mean just ask my wife she has it all written down, all of Lennar’s mistakes
Lennar responded:

The sales manager was very hostile to me and showed zero human feeling to any challenges that the buyer has. His goal was just to get the property sold at the end of the month to preserve his bonus. This is the most inhuman treatment I have ever had from a seller of a home and I expected Lennar to do better.
Lennar responded:
Hi Mr. Aig, we want to apologize for the inhumane treatment that you received. We always want to make our homeowners feel cared for and a part of us. We are going to communicate this experience to our local divisions leaders so it can be addressed. We are truly sorry about this. -Lennar Customer Care

It was difficult getting anyone when you needed answers to immediate questions, always had to leave messages and wait for responses. It was nerve wrecking to wait as needed answers to make informed decisions.

Very dissatisfied with my yard. It has so many holes and bumps when it was laid. There are so many small things that wasn’t addressed after my walk and still waiting on materials to come in to fix them.

We had issues with the salesperson reaching out and coordinating with our realtor. He did keep us up to date on the progress of our house, which was nice. Upon coming in we had power pulled during the final walkthrough and the construction manager told us it was the electrical company’s fault. Turns out it was his fault for not paying to have the post replaced after it was hit by their landscaper. Got straight lied too and the electrical company informed us he called when it happened but never submitted payment to them for a replacement. Then called the night before panicking because it ...

Final Walk issues not completed prior to closing. Construction sup and Quality person coerced me to sign completed assuring me the items would be completed and were not. Warranty rep that visited my house to address some issues discounted or contested.

I would advise them to make sure issues were completed prior to signing on the dotted line. This is my third Lennar home and worst customer service experience thus far. Overall workmanship in house is good. Service after the sale and attention to needs has ruined this experience for me.

I been thinking about weather I should or not write a review but as I get to know my neighbors and we talk about our experience I think I should. Our closing experience in both the construction and financial aspects was not ideal. The construction manager was not very helpful and the quality of his work was not up to par. We have been constantly submitting claims for repairs. Builders excuse to things not getting done at closing was “because of COVID the trades are not as good”. I tell you the prince of a house has not declined but quality sure has.

I did not have a good experience with this company. It started out great. Danielle, Doug and Alex was awesome. I had a huge problem with Amy my loan processor. I was starting to think I was discriminated against. Overall, we finally got the kinks worked out. I would not recommend Lennar Mortgage to anyone. I am missing 2 of my cabinet drawers. My outlets in bathrooms do not work. I will reach out to Alex about this problem. My floor baseboard in Master bedroom is still noisy after my home inspector noted it in the report. They were supposed to fix it.
Lennar responded:
Hi, thank you for sharing this review. We are sorry to hear about the disappointing experience you received from the mortgage team. When it compares to other homes in the area, you get more square footage for less with Lennar, but the quality is much poorer. There are obvious design flaws throughout the home (we were told they were drawn into the plan that way so there is nothing they can do), and the sub-contractors for the most part took several short cuts. Occasionally, the Customer Care team responds to Warranty items, but not all the time. And when they do, they set a date and time for a sub to come repair the issue, and then the sub never shows up. They don't even give a courtesy call to let you know. The sales ...

Throughout the construction the quality of the work perform by the different subcontractors and the cheap material selection was obvious. The price paid for the house is not reflected in the quality of the different components of the house (Kitchen, Doors, floors, etc.) Lennar has a very good marketing department and with the story of being an Alexa ready house gives the impression that the quality is top notch then you come to realize that it is not the case. I do not recommend buying a Lennar home, unfortunately it is too late for me.

Lennar representative explained everything as common and normal where poor quality of workmanship and bad materials were pointed. His name is Kurt. For example when I pointed a standing water he, said it is normal for drainage. There was a gap in the main door and frame and Kurt said he will block with the bubble gum he was chewing. This is not acceptable and he is very rude and disrespected to us.

I'll say the sales member for Lennar was probably the best employee Lennar has. He was always returning calls and finding solutions for us if we had an issue. On the other hand, the builder was not. The builder/CM was always giving some excuse and or promising something and not coming through. We have since closing, realized how much he missed in the building process as well as didn't do something he said he would before close. Have heard rumors that he's just average in terms of CM and was not the best one on this development. I can certainly attest to that at this point.

If I could turn back the hands of times I would have never bought a home with this builder. My salesman David was to sum it up the worst if you get him run immediately. Tiffany my loan officer tried to get me to close on a house I wouldn't be able to take possession of just so they wouldn't have to redo paperwork. It's been a month my front lawn has fallen into the street my cabinet fronts are falling off, I have standing water in yard and they never relaid the sod so now its mud and weeds and they stripped it from the edges so the grass doesn't even meet the sidewalk. Promises were made....but not carried out. Fit&finish very poor. Did anyone care? Pretty much no. I would not accept any service people to come in and finish what was promised as I don't feel anything would be any better than now. No faith in your labor.

The house was left extremely dirty between my final walkthrough and closing. There were many corrections that need to be made even after pointing them out at the walkthrough. The house seems to be very cheaply made. I have lived in the house for a month and my fence is already falling apart. For a brand new build you would expect a higher quality product. The Lennar team also schedules all of your appointments before checking your availability which is extremely frustrating and leads to longer wait times.

I will not be buying another house from Lennar - ever again. The entire house buying process was stressful, which is to be expected, but our loan officer, Sandra, seemed to be especially quite incompetent. Throughout the process, there were various hiccups and even errors made in numbers. We did not trust Sandra at all and thankfully things were caught because we reviewed everything multiple times. The communication was even worse, whenever Lennar wants something they pressure you to have it done ASAP but when you have any questions you basically need to contact them/remind them every single ...

Had a bad experience with the sales guy. Felt like a military recruiter - made promises that I would get certain things included in the house and on the papers I had to sign, he purposefully left that out. Told me I had nothing in writing which was very sketchy. Talked to some neighbors and at least 4 others had a similar experience. I really did not want to give him the commission on this sale but I had to get the house. The finance team was also a nightmare. More times than I can count I was asked for docs that were supposedly due the next day and they would be sent to me at midnight (or ...

Lennar was very pushy to use their mortgage company from the start, making the process super difficult when we decided to use our outside lender. We moved in in early August and different color cabinets were installed in the kitchen, still hasn’t been replaced. There’s rebar sticking straight out of the foundation above the grass. The sod next to our AC unit that we were told was going to be put in was never done. The AC didn’t work correctly for the first two weeks. I had to pay 500 dollars out of pocket to have an electrician come tell me the ground and neutral in my dryer power outlet ...

The home buying process was a nightmare from having a processor who had been only been working for 2 weeks in his position to a lender who had only been working in hers for a month. Closing day I still didn’t know my closing costs, I’ve now been in my home a month. I’ve run into SEVERAL issues from a faulty breaker box, to a improperly installed garage door just to name a few. I’ve put in SEVERAL repair requests and not one of the items have been completed. The communication is horrible, if you need anything repaired be prepared to pay for it out of pocket because you will be completely ...
