Prior to purchasing our new Lennar home, I read some reviews on the web. There were more negative reviews than I would have expected. I addressed this with our sales consultant and he simply said that because of the size of Lennar, there would be more negative reviews than with other builders and likewise there would be more positive reviews. The sals person doesn’t have much experience and irresponsible. The day in last year November when we first came to the sale office is also her first day at this subdivision. Both her iPad and computer didn’t work, she didn’t pay attention to what we said to her which caused misunderstanding late. She insisted us contacting a Lennar financial person at Austin, and late on she told us to switch another person at Houston. I have to register twice. I hear closing is nothing short of a stressful time that every home buyer just wants to get over with. But in my case this was “never seen before delays” and unprofessionalism from the loan officer, but more so on the loan processor. A few documents that were submitted to Lennar earlier in the closing process for the closing date got lost in Lennar hands, causing my closing date to be delayed by 2 days and closing at 9:50PM… So pretty much 3 days.

Me and my friends are great fan of Lennar! But by buying experience was terrible!! I completely understand that pandemic has changed everyone's lives but shouldn't have impacted the buying experience. The sales team was rude, mortgage team was impatient and construction manager was contactless! Just that we need a house to stay close to friends, we have continued with the purchase if not would have quit.

I love my my house, however I will never buy another Lennar homes again due to the worst buying experience I had with Cole at Tavola West in New Cany TX. Don't recommend anyone to buy Lennar homes.

Long story short, I was told several times that an irrigation system would be provided since that was part of what Lennar promised upon the original sales pitch. Multiple people assured me this would be ok and they would take care of it. Then 3 weeks before closing I’m told I wouldn’t be getting it….. If you don’t like it you can get a refund and go elsewhere. Horrible customer service. How can you trust a company that doesn’t make good on their promises? I tried to change my closing date because my bank CD was maturing three weeks after the tentative closing date. I have purchased 3 Lennar houses before and never had any closing date issues and after purchasing this house it was an investment of almost $1000000.00 on Lennar houses. The answer I received from upper management was discourteous: “We DON'T move dates!” you should not talk to your loyal customers in this tone (extremely unprofessional).

From the very start I had issues with the loan officer not being proactive and responding to messages in a timely manner. The day of closing my name was not spelled correctly in the title/documents. I have been in the home and there is something going on with the plumbing where the toilet does not flush properly. There were also missed parts that were not painted by the time I closed on home. Our sales agent lied about mortgage rate multiple times and then lied she never stated she had given us such a quote. I, the presence of my real estate agent, had repeated the quote several times back to her prior to shaking hands on the deal. She even had called a supervisor regarding our offer in front of us. She then stated it had been approved. When we had the contract a few hours later we were shocked to find the rate a point higher. Simple mistakes lead to big problems

The sales associates filled out our contracts incorrectly with simple mistakes and would not correct them when they were pointed out. Example incorrect contact information. They along with the mortgage team gave us understated estimates due to interest rates that did not match the offered interest rates. This was also not corrected when it was pointed out. It started with a walk-through well before the house was ready, and multiple things not finished. I felt like the closing date was forced in order to get the sale in May. Lennar touts its next gen line of homes. The design is good but the construction process and closing process are poor. There needs to be more supervision and follow up on the Project Manager. Have bad experiences with Lennar’s title and sale agent. They tried to tell us wire the money before the closing date which is understandable. However, the final walk through date is AFTER the closing date. I voiced the concern without any answer. On Lennar track, they are no where ready for closing.
