Things pointed out on walkthrough were not fixed. Payment is 25 % more than quoted at closing, fencing had to be redone by myself and 3 neighbors.
Lennar responded:
Good afternoon Melinda. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear about the issues with the unfinished repairs from the walkthrough, the increased payment, and the fencing problems. If there are still outstanding items in need of repair, please reach out to us at LennarNews@Lennar.com with details, referencing this review, so we can document your concerns and follow up with the appropriate team to get everything completed. I have purchased 4 homes throughout my 42 years of life and this was by far the worst experience. The communication is poor when it comes to consistency amongst all parties involved. If I had 8,000 to waste, I would have walked away from this home just based on Lennar staff. The organization was poor, timelines felt unorganized and pressured. The quality is not the best. I can hear everything that goes on outside and next door. They don't even provide window treatment for the many windows in the home. I could go on and on about the negatives, but it's not worth my energy. I'm just glad it's ...

Horrible sales process

The sales person for my home was horrible. Had no clue what she was doing. Numbers were all over the place every single day. The mortgage and title people were nice though. But, no one ever gave me the exact breakdown of how much my payments were. Totally unacceptable. In fact, I am probably going to sell my house.
Lennar responded:
Good morning and thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are sorry to hear your purchasing experience was horrible. I have shared your comments with upper management in the Houston Division for their review. We truly appreciate your feedback. It plays a vital role in helping us identify areas of opportunity to offer a better customer experience.

Completing the purchase was very touchy, and communication was not the greatest. Now that we are in the home, we are having to move back out due to the flooring issues, and this has made me question the workmanship in other areas of the house. The Customer Sevice representative has been very helpful, but this process is still less than desirable and leaves doubts.
Lennar responded:
Good afternoon Michael,
I sincerely apologize for the difficulties you've encountered throughout this process. I am glad to hear your Customer Care Rep has been very helpful. I will share your concerns with upper management for their review.

Building with Lennar was the absolute worst experience. The home was 5 months late. No ability to change or pick out anything. I call it the Walmart of new homes. You get what you pay for

Brandy was a horrible sales person. Customer service was horrible they would talk over you make you feel like you’re dumb when it came to paperwork When I closed on my house the landscaping was horrible. I couldn’t even take a picture because it looked so bad. On my final walk we were told they would replace the whole thing. I would never buy a Lennar home again
Lennar responded:
Hi Kassandra, we are truly sorry for the experience you went through with sales and customer service. We also want to apologize for the landscaping issues that you faced when you closed on your home. Please reach out to us if you need anything else with your home. -Lennar Customer Care

The mortgage and title company were both an absolute nightmare to work with, horrible communication, not disclosing things properly, and the layout of how things were going to work, were not at all in the order/flow. Everything was very confusing. This was the worst new home process I have ever seen. The new home concierge that we were told to contact never responded to emails. Mystic is the warranty rep, she has been awesome in following up and staying on top of items needed to be fixed (there has been a lot.) If I had only dealt with Mystic, would get 5 stars. We still have some ...

Been waiting on someone to come and fill up the utilities trench that sunk after a little rain. There's a big hole that stretches all along my back fence where utilities run. I was told they were going to come and fill it and so far nothing. I've been living here since January 25th.. The cheap floor planks are peeling off the floor also.. Osciel T.

Still am very unsettled about coming in to buy home that was advertised with a red slash through it and advertised as reduced price. Went in on last day unexpectedly when I got email on home sale. Went by address and walked around. I wanted it no matter what. I was told I had to pay full price and was given 2 different reasons that I can't remember why I could NOT have sale price advertised. One of those reasons was: I had to pay cash? So I had to pay full price. Why was my Representative paid commission on base price of home? I was told I had to purchase at full price. I need someone higher ...

Balmoral is a very nice community. However, if buying from Lennar there are things a person should be aware of/pay attention to small details…such as in most Lennar homes they install one extremely small sink in the Master Bedroom. There are no gutters on the Lennar homes in our sub-development and we had to pay for after market gutter installation. The wooden fence installed is of poor quality with many holes and/or damage planks. Also, Lennar advertises the garage can fit large trucks…this is not a true statement. The garage can only fit cars and possibly a small ...

This wasn’t the experience I was expecting as a first time home buyer. So truly, as a first time buyer, it’s disappointing. The only good thing about it all was working with the salesperson. Amanda was friendly and responsive. However, a rocky start with the lender as she was completely unresponsive. It took a couple weeks before I was told she wasn’t with the company and had to begin over with someone new. So overall, wouldn’t recommend. It felt rushed and when final walk through date arrived, it felt deceiving because I was told some issues that the home inspector found on his report had ...

Lennar Homes are not worth the money.

Lennar Homes are not worth the money. Poorly built, plumbing not up to code, electrical issues and appliances not installed correctly. Home didn't even come with a garage door opener. 3 service requests in regards to AC not cooling, dryer outlet not working (circuit in breaker had to be replaced), water leaking under front and back doors, installed appliances not working, and unable to transfer utility to own name due to water-test not yet performed by builder and water company; and it's only been 2 months since closing.

First off , this was my first home and I was very excited . I began noticing workmanship problems throughout the building process with half done work . I noted several things like literally a slanted front door install, slanted kitchen window and framing . Leaking dinning room window, hole in stairs and carpet placed over . Those are just the things that presented before closing. I have been in my home now 8 weeks and recently discovered in the building process a giant nail was stabbed into a drain line in my laundry room which leaked for 8 weeks before it showed itself . I have had nothing ...

We have had numerous problems and a terrible response to getting issues fixed. 1. Our AC went out the first week due to poor electrical work 2. Our fence is flapping in the wind 3. Our grass was never rolled out and patches are missing 4. Metal debris all in the yard 5. Gutters were not installed and the rain washed away some of our landscaping that has yet to be fixed

The home was supposed to be fully wired for alarm service only two windows out of six were properly wired. Workmanship and quality of product wasn’t up to par. Low grade windows only the bottom tilts in for for cleaning. And the windows had a lot of silicone around the frame Leaking out very sloppy work . From the paint to the caulking and seals very hastily done and not properly done . The workers spilled glue on the floor still trying to get that all off. Garage floor has chunks of cement not smoothed out properly. garage door has a 15 inch dent on the bottom panel and I didn’t discover ...

Some delays or changes in material were expected due to pandemic. However, there is clear evidence of laziness and negligence throughout the home. And Lennar's policy seems to be just paint/caulk over it and hope no one notices. Very little effort in lining up trim and moulding, windows installed off center and non-level, bumps forming in vinyl floor due to improper installation, sheetrock bulging/bowing in multiple areas (best they would do to fix it is shave it down and re-texture), exterior mortar all over bricks/driveway because they wouldn't clean up after themselves, paint stains on all ...

Lennar builds homes very quickly and is more than willing to put out fires for the time they are required after the build than to do a quality job and hold their contractors to a higher standard. These homes could be so beautiful as they do use quality materials but everything is so rushed and sloppy. We were also pushed into using a "trusted" lender which was a nightmare. The numbers were wrong several times to the point that the mobile notary that was at our house in a different state refused to notarize the closing paperwork.
