Interesting experience with the builder

We had issues with the salesperson reaching out and coordinating with our realtor. He did keep us up to date on the progress of our house, which was nice. Upon coming in we had power pulled during the final walkthrough and the construction manager told us it was the electrical company’s fault. Turns out it was his fault for not paying to have the post replaced after it was hit by their landscaper. Got straight lied too and the electrical company informed us he called when it happened but never submitted payment to them for a replacement. Then called the night before panicking because it ...

Final Walk issues not completed prior to closing. Construction sup and Quality person coerced me to sign completed assuring me the items would be completed and were not. Warranty rep that visited my house to address some issues discounted or contested.

I would advise them to make sure issues were completed prior to signing on the dotted line. This is my third Lennar home and worst customer service experience thus far. Overall workmanship in house is good. Service after the sale and attention to needs has ruined this experience for me.

Lennar was very pushy to use their mortgage company from the start, making the process super difficult when we decided to use our outside lender. We moved in in early August and different color cabinets were installed in the kitchen, still hasn’t been replaced. There’s rebar sticking straight out of the foundation above the grass. The sod next to our AC unit that we were told was going to be put in was never done. The AC didn’t work correctly for the first two weeks. I had to pay 500 dollars out of pocket to have an electrician come tell me the ground and neutral in my dryer power outlet ...

Took forever.

Promises were made....but not carried out. Fit&finish very poor. Did anyone care? Pretty much no. I would not accept any service people to come in and finish what was promised as I don't feel anything would be any better than now. No faith in your labor.

Very disappointing experience

I been thinking about weather I should or not write a review but as I get to know my neighbors and we talk about our experience I think I should. Our closing experience in both the construction and financial aspects was not ideal. The construction manager was not very helpful and the quality of his work was not up to par. We have been constantly submitting claims for repairs. Builders excuse to things not getting done at closing was “because of COVID the trades are not as good”. I tell you the prince of a house has not declined but quality sure has.

I am still missing my kitchen drawers. It is almost 2 months. I hope I get my cabinet drawers in before Easter.

I did not have a good experience with this company. It started out great. Danielle, Doug and Alex was awesome. I had a huge problem with Amy my loan processor. I was starting to think I was discriminated against. Overall, we finally got the kinks worked out. I would not recommend Lennar Mortgage to anyone. I am missing 2 of my cabinet drawers. My outlets in bathrooms do not work. I will reach out to Alex about this problem. My floor baseboard in Master bedroom is still noisy after my home inspector noted it in the report. They were supposed to fix it.

You Get What You Pay For

When it compares to other homes in the area, you get more square footage for less with Lennar, but the quality is much poorer. There are obvious design flaws throughout the home (we were told they were drawn into the plan that way so there is nothing they can do), and the sub-contractors for the most part took several short cuts. Occasionally, the Customer Care team responds to Warranty items, but not all the time. And when they do, they set a date and time for a sub to come repair the issue, and then the sub never shows up. Poor Quality and Craftmanship

Throughout the construction the quality of the work perform by the different subcontractors and the cheap material selection was obvious. The price paid for the house is not reflected in the quality of the different components of the house (Kitchen, Doors, floors, etc.) Lennar has a very good marketing department and with the story of being an Alexa ready house gives the impression that the quality is top notch then you come to realize that it is not the case. I do not recommend buying a Lennar home, unfortunately it is too late for me.

Prior to purchasing our new Lennar home, I read some reviews on the web. There were more negative reviews than I would have expected. I addressed this with our sales consultant and he simply said that because of the size of Lennar, there would be more negative reviews than with other builders and likewise there would be more positive reviews. I hear closing is nothing short of a stressful time that every home buyer just wants to get over with. But in my case this was “never seen before delays” and unprofessionalism from the loan officer, but more so on the loan processor. A few documents that were submitted to Lennar earlier in the closing process for the closing date got lost in Lennar hands, causing my closing date to be delayed by 2 days and closing at 9:50PM… So pretty much 3 days.

I love my my house, however I will never buy another Lennar homes again due to the worst buying experience I had with Cole at Tavola West in New Cany TX. Don't recommend anyone to buy Lennar homes.

Bad salesman and good customer services

The sals person doesn’t have much experience and irresponsible. The day in last year November when we first came to the sale office is also her first day at this subdivision. Both her iPad and computer didn’t work, she didn’t pay attention to what we said to her which caused misunderstanding late. She insisted us contacting a Lennar financial person at Austin, and late on she told us to switch another person at Houston. I have to register twice. Long story short, I was told several times that an irrigation system would be provided since that was part of what Lennar promised upon the original sales pitch. Multiple people assured me this would be ok and they would take care of it. Then 3 weeks before closing I’m told I wouldn’t be getting it….. Me and my friends are great fan of Lennar! But by buying experience was terrible!! I completely understand that pandemic has changed everyone's lives but shouldn't have impacted the buying experience. The sales team was rude, mortgage team was impatient and construction manager was contactless! Sales office could not get the paperwork right and communicate on the closing of our house from the start to the finish. Was a horrible experience. Corporate office refused to address our concerns when they were contacted directly. You think that they would be a whole lot easier and attentive to detail especially when you are paying cash for your new home. Would make me think twice if I was buying a home again. I will definitely not be referring them to any perspective byer anytime soon! Shame on you!

Horrible experience with the whole closing situation. Was lied to several times. Was told my closing cost included the 2026 HOA dues. I have had to put in several requests for repairs. I’m still putting in request for the same problem that was supposed to have already been fixed. I could go on & on about how horrible my experience of buying my 1st home was but at this point I’ve figured out it will do NO good!

Our Experience With Lennar Mortgage

Our experience with Lennar Mortgage was so stressful and disorganized that we ultimately switch lender. Communication was inconsistent, they kept asking for the same documents, and we kept getting conflicting information and last-minute issues that delayed everything. The lack of professionalism made the process extremely frustrating, and we would not recommend them.
