Lazy & sloppy work found all over new house

We were originally offered a chance to get a lower interest rate and then right before closing were told that there was no way to even consider lowering the interest rate, but it was kinda too late at that point for us. Our closing date was miscommunicated to us and after planning move out dates at our other place and setting up installation appointments at the new place, this delay in closing caused us to have to rush back and forth to get everything moved in half the time we expected to have. After moving in, we found multiple issues.....paint on the carpet, paint on the vinyl plank ...

Lennar responded:

Hone was made quickly and has many imperfections. The process was rushed to close on time which impacted my ability to request things to be fixed. The brick has light spots and a patch doesn't match the rest of the home. The garage isn't sealed properly allowing rodents to enter

Good afternoon Jaqueline,
We are sorry to hear that your purchasing experience was not up to your expectations. If there are any outstanding warrantable issues, please submit a warranty request online through your Lennar Account. This ensures your request is documented and prioritized for a prompt resolution.

First house I tried to buy was in Seguin, Texas. My closing date was postponed and then on the day of new closing date I was told "your husband has to co-sign." One whole month they couldnt't figure out that my loan was a liability. I was extremely disappointed. They took so many documents but in the end gave me no choice, tried to rush me, gave me advice on cosigning when it's a personal decision and they invaded that personal space, no one asked them for their opinion on co signing part. So, fast forwad in to the new year of 2024, my work took me to Houston, So I started looking for ...

Very dissapointing. Would not recommend.

My 2nd Lennar home. What a huge (bad) difference in build quality and materials compared to first home. No gutters. No sprinkler system. Side boards are very soft, dry wall very soft. Paint is very bright white. Counter top is nice but very cheap because it stains quickly. Bathroom faucets are the cheapest on the market, same goes for the sink. Had electrical issue first week, service request put me on a viral call (the construction manager assisted with the issue, it was a wiring issue). Had a mouse get in the garage the first week because they left a open space under the water heater. ...

Would never buy another Lennar home in future

Honestly, I would never recommend nor purchase another Lennar home. The only positive experience was my initial walk thru 2 weeks prior to closing on my home with Lennar associate Beth. From the very start with Lennar, my sales personnel, Jimmy Zaid kicked off the negative experienc but his constant lack of communication, And most importantly empty promise of purchase price. He stated that every model of my home sells for $300,000 and that there were 3 left after looking at a model of one selling that day. Long story short after I finally got in contact with him, he stated the best price he ...

Pay attention to the brickwork and shower tile work...... they will use defective material and patch them up in a very amateur way.... When you reach out about the issue they will say that is the pattern of the brick. When you don't fall for that they will ignore you and never respond again.

Lennar responded:
Good morning

We appreciate you taking the time to write this review and are sorry to hear you are having issues with your brick and shower tile. Please submit a warranty request online through your Lennar Account, this ensures your request is documented and prioritized for a quick resolution.

The entire process was a joke and can be summed up as simply as saying I received better service at McDonald’s. The only reason I purchased this “home” is the promotional interest rate. I would not recommend Lennar to my worst enemy and will NEVER purchase from them again. Nobody at the company cares about anything other than taking all the money from you they can. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Lennar responded:

Terrible Experience With Lennar

I personally didn’t have a good experience at all when purchasing my home. My loan officer was fired days before my original closing date. Supposedly she didn’t upload any of my documents to my folder and I basically had to start from scratch with a new loan officer. This process pushed me back another 3 months. This was very inconvenient to my life because I had to make adjustments and spend a lot of unnecessary money in order for my family to be good while we wait on our home. No extra incentive for their former employees mistakes, no one reaching out to check in or being responsive when I ...

The entire homebuying process was a nightmare from start to finish. Salesman was not knowledgeable at all to the product or process. Then the mortgage team I dealt with was absolutely horrid and unreachable most of the time. I almost pulled out of the deal due to frustration and complications that were unnecessary. In addition to this there is a design issue in the house that wont allow me to get furniture up the stairs. I am not a genius but even I can figure out that if you're building a house with all bedrooms upstairs you should design a staircase and handrail that allows you to get ...

Stay away from Lennar period. But If you must buy a Lennar home, please budget for thousands of dollar you will need to spend to get the home to a barely comfortable place to live. The price might seem reasonable at first, but when you calculate all the missing items in the home, you will end up paying significantly more than you you went with another builder. Also, be prepared for bad service all round and constant state of confusion amongst their staff.

If I could give no stars I would. From the second we filled out an application, the rest of the process went lower than rock bottom. We spoke to our finance person (Mary Jo) ONE time and that was after calling/emailing numerous times. I finally reached out to Ali (man in the model home) letting him know that we have been trying to get ahold of her with no call back. This happened several times as we did have questions along the way because Mary Jo NEVER updated us on ANYTHING. The one time she did talk to us she rushed us off the phone stating she was very busy. The worst experience of my life buying home from Lennar. Bad salesman from start to finish with little to no help , construction manager cheating and treat you like a kid, paint finish crack and final walk have to delay because no one did it from the first walk , after they touch up move in the paint dry and show crack again leaving the buyer stuck . Never never buy from Lennar

I closed on a house in a Lennar community 6 months ago. The building process was ridiculously stressful. Zac, the building manager over my home, was hard to communicate with, did not follow through on requests, left my build sitting with unfixed issues for months. Even untouched the week between my initial walkthrough and my final one. I ended up coming to my FINAL walkthrough, with several trades people actively working to fix problems WHILE I WAS WALKING THROUGH. I was asked to give them a couple of hours and come back to walk again. Zac’s lack of attention to issues, left me dealing with ...

This has been the worst experience of my life. I honestly would not encourage, suggest, or promote anyone I like, know or trust to purchase a Lennar home. The quality is subpar, the responsiveness to issues is next to never as far as the repair persons actually showing up. There is no flexibility with scheduling, I had to keep taking off work trying to get things repaired in a BRAND NEW HOUSE. NIGHTMARE.....RUN! I gave 1 stars to submit the review

I bought a Lennar (New Home) in 2004 and had a very good experience, but this time we were disappointed. We chose the house because of the school. Our friends warned us about Lennar. We are still working to get all fixed from Lennar. A lot they just won't. While we closed on the house, they were still working at the home, and it seems like it never ends. In 2004, the house was finished, and we could move in right away after a few paint and grass fixes. This time, the walls are not even straight. We had some walls fixed already. I am tired of looking at all and wished I picked a different ...
