When we first bought our home in May of 2019, we were told we did not need flood insurance because the area wasn’t a flood zone area, fast forward to Sep 2019 with tropical storm imelda, we were under water! So many of our neighbors lost their homes, we had to be rescued because water was rising, my brand new 2019 vehicle got flooded 2 weeks after buying it, just such an emotional event to go through, and the saddest part is all my neighbors were told the same thing about flood insurance. The Sales Agent could not answer any questions regarding dues and other pertinent issues. The quality service agent rushed through walk through and was only concerned with me signing documents rather than understanding how all appliances and systems worked. After move in, I found out that Builders inadvertently "forgot" to pre wire house for alarm services. Lennar refused to reimburse me for my costs associated with their negligence. Very disappointed with our experience buying a new home from Lennar. The construction quality and attention to detail were far below expectations for a new build. We found multiple issues that should have been caught before walkthroughs, including roof problems (exposed nails, poorly cut shingles around vents, and unsealed gaps). When asked if all roof vents were inspected, the construction manager said only the items shown in my photos were addressed—concerning for a builder of this size. I have many things to say about Lennar — my experience has truly been the worst ever. During the home-buying process, I constantly had to follow up with Lennar staff just to get answers to my questions. Their customer service was poor, but unfortunately, the worst was yet to come. On closing day, Lennar was supposed to pay my hazard insurance through the escrow account — but they didn’t. My policy was at risk of cancellation. Terrible experience, can’t get into touch with Lennar for any help whatsoever, no one responds or returns voices. Many issues, a major one being locked out of the gate of my home community for multiple weeks because NO gate clickers or codes were provided at closing.

The amount paid of the house is too much as compared to quality of materials used in the house. False information provided that Lennar don't install blinds for windows and gutter line. I have checked other houses build in the same area with lennar builder and they all have blinds and gutter line. Builder don't response to the email after they sale you the house. Lots of space was wasted in building the house like big bathroom and no store closed provided
