There was no hot water when we moved in, the washing machine didn't work. The dryer was tripping the breaker, which needed to be replaced. The front door entrance was poorly designed, causing you to get drenched from rain, making it virtually impassible. We requested several times for the front door area to be power washed from excessive dust, it never happened! Stay on top of Lennar for these types of things. That said, they did respond fairly quickly to address most issues. We will have to come out of pocket to fix the rain/front door issue.

Quality is pretty poor and we were lied to about a lot of pricing

The home is great just had a lack of good communication during buying process. Times we did get communication it was 3 different people telling me different things.

Dealing with our sales person Jenna was good. Dealing with the QC person Lauren, bad experience, unprofessional and couldn’t care less. Dealing with construction manager Brian, wasted time, bad experience. Dealing with Lennar Mortgage Shana /Kara, worst experience, poor communication, unprofessional. Dealing with Lennar Title Hayley and team, good experience. Dealing with repair team / warranty / repair request, total failure. Love the location, love the house. The Lennar experience, would not do it again.

I would like you share my honest opinion here. We moved from other city and it was like 5 hours drive from there to here in Katy TX. I saw my house when I almost bought it. The1st big shock that I received by this house was the door of bathrooms that are NOT wheelchair accessible with a special need child it is so hard that no body can imagine. Kitchen pantry and closets are so small though we have plenty of rooms in the house lennar needs to find some better builders in this regard or people who make maps of the houses. If you want to buy from Lennar please check thoroughly everything.

Cindy was very friendly and attentive. She addressed and resolved all our concerns and was always there when we needed her. We appreciate the excellent quality of building material and appliances. We only wished the sprinkler system was included :)

Ideal space for empty nesters or young couple . Well thought layout and modern appliances . Could have done better with storage /closet space in rooms but overall a good buy

Overall, I had a good experience with Lennar. However, I felt like I was just a number. This was also my first time ever purchasing a home. So nothing felt personable or anything. Because Lennar is such a large builder and they have so many clients, I felt like a a dollar sign to them. The financing and sales people have this demeanor about them thats like okay, we just want the money. We dont care if you are having any anxiety about anything. We wont be lenient to your feelings about making probably the largest purchase of your life. We just dont care cause we got others who are willing to buy. I had the worst closing experience ever as well. Since I was a first timer, I felt like things werent readily explained to me either. Like I received an email saying that I owed more money than I already paid. I also was told to be at closing at a particular time and that I HAD to be on time because they had others that were closing as well. I asked if I coukd schedule my closing for later in the day and I was told No i couldnt because they has SOO many people closing. I got there about 20 minutes early, took time off work and then waited for over an hour to sign documents, even though I was told to be on time, but yet my papers were not. From the beginning I said I did not wish to do things electronically but was forced into it. Then I was told after everything was done I being transfered to another mortgage company without any reason or notification. Bad communication on getting back to fix issues. This refrigerator is faulty it keeps beeping when I heard the beeps when looking at the house before buying I thought It was a security alarm on the house. I've been calling in about it but getting no one to get back with me on the issue then on left side of house there looks to be a problem with the bricks. The quality of these homes are horrendous considering how much they cost. The materials used are horribly cheap and the finish carpentry is ugly. The attention to detail is nonexistent.

It was wonderful experience purchasing the house. The team of Lennar was helpful and guided us all the way. The only complaint I have is the quality of workmanship and materials is not up to standard.

I had high hopes when purchasing my home through Lennar, but unfortunately, my experience has been riddled with frustration and disappointment. Before closing, I hired a professional home inspector who uncovered a laundry list of issues—bad masonry work, sloppy and frankly comical electrical wiring, fencing that lacked proper nails and support, and concerning plumbing flaws, particularly with the water heater. Despite these problems, I was pressured to close on the home before the issues were properly addressed. While some of them were eventually fixed, the process was far from timely or reassuring. Since moving in, I’ve continued to uncover more problems: Poor concrete and driveway work More bad masonry Fence quality that is clearly subpar Scratched bathroom tiles that somehow passed inspection Sloppy indoor painting Missing roof flashing in at least one section Windows that were poorly installed, raising concerns about future insulation and efficiency issues with the double-pane glass These aren't just minor annoyances—they’re serious quality control problems that shouldn’t exist in a home costing several hundred thousand dollars. If I wanted to continue the list, I could, but these alone are enough to give any prospective buyer serious pause. Buying a home should be exciting. Started out as a good experience, then lost our lead Lennar rep during our purchase, either quit or lost his job. Some disorganization during closing, excused. Website and paperwork still has items that are not discussed with Lennar reps like access points and door locks, so I guess update that? Materials used are low quality, I get it, you have to make money. Just pay attention to your build. Customer service is bad, they don’t know how to use the system to properly and efficiently work on cases. Our appliances were stolen during closing, we err were given new (not new, when I submitted warrranty to frigidaire for the oven, it was already used) items, oven has issues, we were told that they need to register that with Frigidaire so that frigidaire can handle the request, not Lennar’s problem. Who is frigidaire? Garbage company, I’ll just get a nee oven. Like every thing else in 2025, everything sucks, Lennar is okay if you don’t fight back and just say the whole experience is wonderful. ... More

Extremely Disappointed with Lennar – Unorganized, Misleading, and Frustrating Experience: My home buying experience with Lennar has been nothing short of disappointing. From the start, I encountered numerous inefficiencies, misinformation, and poor communication—and unfortunately, these are just a few examples among many. 1. Incompetent Lending Process: Lennar outsources its underwriting process to a foreign country, which caused serious delays and inefficiencies. The loan officer provided confusing and inconsistent instructions regarding debt payoff in order to qualify. I was told to cut a check to the titling company, who would then issue a check to my creditor—which I had to physically deliver. This convoluted process ended up failing because the creditor couldn’t accept the check due to a mismatch in payment requirements. It was evident that the loan officer lacked a full understanding of the process, eroding any trust I had in Lennar’s in-house lending team. 2. Multiple Pushbacks on Closing: Despite having ample time, my loan officer failed to prepare necessary documents in time, resulting in several closing date delays. Each delay was incredibly disruptive and costly on my end, yet there was no accountability from Lennar. 3. Broken Promises from the Builder and Sales Rep: I was pressured into signing off on incomplete items just to meet their internal closing quotas—with the promise that these items would be finished post-closing. After closing, the construction MANAGER essentially disappeared and became unresponsive. Additionally, the sales rep misrepresented several features of the home, including the sprinkler system and a Wi-Fi-enabled garage, both of which were non-functional or nonexistent. The contract also listed a smart home key, which I never received. 4. Unresponsive Concierge Service: Lennar’s concierge was virtually useless. I was never informed that my first walkthrough was cancelled. I showed up expecting the walkthrough, only to find no one there. I didn’t even receive an email or phone call. The rescheduling wasn’t even addressed until three days later, showing a clear lack of professionalism and coordination. ⸻ Bottom Line: Buying a home should be exciting—not filled with stress, delays, and mistrust. Lennar failed to meet even the basic standards of customer service and communication. Not to mention the poor quality for the price paid. I would not recommend them to anyone considering a new home. Lennar has been very attentive to every little thing I mentioned. They had the issues corrected very quickly by very kind, polite people, ie: HVAC company.

One of the best experience, I have was purchasing a newly build home with Lennar. As a first time home buyer, I was given the opportunity to purchase a home that my family can enjoy living in for years to come. I look forward to enjoy my time my new home with my family.

The house was left extremely dirty between my final walkthrough and closing. There were many corrections that need to be made even after pointing them out at the walkthrough. The house seems to be very cheaply made. I have lived in the house for a month and my fence is already falling apart. For a brand new build you would expect a higher quality product. The Lennar team also schedules all of your appointments before checking your availability which is extremely frustrating and leads to longer wait times.

I am a Senior and this is my first new constructed home always bought and remodeled. The buying and completion of the sale for me being a senior was extremely difficult and so very confusing. So many many people emailing and requesting verifications and do's and dont's my head was spinning. Also some mistakes on their end when items were summitted and kept requesting same items finally I discovered why... someone at Lennar set me up to different portals for submission and they were not checking other portal. Sorry I like the old fashion way because I am not savvy on technology and the whole process was a nightmare. I had to have my children help me on most of it AND after all that the closing online ???? which was easy for certain but just did not have the WOW factor of going in person to sign and walk out with the key. It was actually blah. All the staff at Lennar were great and very nice but I did struggle for the first time in my life buying a property. With that said ....I see that with a new house the workmanship is lacking and also the details of purchasing a listed 389,000 home leaves so much for the owner to then supply the little details one would expect. Like cabinet pulls.....towel racks and rings....fans especially for those of us in Houston Texas area....gutters where a must need...also the trim throughout the home...really ??? cheap painted regular boards. I know with economy and especially since pandemic I am certain builders I guess have issues keeping the cost down...but with Lennar being a major builder owning everything from home building to the mortgage lender and everything in between sorry I am just disappointed at least for some of these things should be included. Also when a buyer does a walk thru and then workers come in to do the issues for goodness sakes they like when building the house come in and do their responsibility but do not respect the home so they bump or dent or damage other parts of the house in their process of working in your brand new home. Then you move in and see the dirty hand prints and the knocks that were made while they were in the house because this is just a job with thousands of others waiting to be worked on as well. But this is MY HOME I signed up to pay dearly for the rest of my life and I have waited a lifetime to be able to have....Lastly for goodness sakes why why why do builders use the cheapest white paint that is like powder and can not be cleaned ? I know it is the cost but has anyone asked if they would like to upgrade the paint as the buyer expense. I had to pay close to 3000 to just get the walls painted (not closets or utility room) before I ever moved in because the walls were so fragile and the fear if they are touched in anyway BOOM you have issues. Just roll in the cost of quality durable paint the first go round when house is built. I know at this price point your buyers would absolutely appreciate and willing to pay the upcharge for the better paint that Lennar would use and that would even be a FANTASTIC selling point ESPECIALLY if Lennar got out front first to offer. I have spoken .....as well as my own children that have purchased new homes and yes they were Lennar....How awful and terrible contractors paint is and impossible to keep clean and damage free even without children in ln the home. They all within just a few years of constantly touching up opted to have everything whole house inside repainted. Sorry but I feel you want my honest response ...so that is what I have given. There are so many details I love about the home...the floorplan inside and out...that mine did come with a sprinkler system...the fabulous use of space as well as most of the finishes and the community I purchased. They told us they they will fix certain items of the house before closing. But they never did. Even after bothering them to do it many times. Disappointed.

Working with Jenna was amazing. She went way above her job title to help me through the steps to complete the purchase. She was there for me from day one, and is still there to help with all I need. I’m happy with the home, so far no issues. Everything with Lennar was great, except going through the mortgage experience.

Bought a new home for my mother. Nice house but appraisal was far below the list price causing me to have to Mortgage insurance. The Mortgage company was horrible to deal with. Lied at every turn. Had to use an outside lender to get the deal done. Would never work with Lennar Mortgage company. Had a few cosmetic issues with the house that were fixed immediately.
