Love the home! But the process wasn’t all that great. No one told me the area didn’t have lights/gas so my closing was pushed back 4 months because of it. My Loan officer was GREAT!

My experience with Lennar was not great at all. Yes we got a lot of incentives but communication was horrible. They were not up front about what came with the home, the sales representative lied to us about anything and everything. Keep in mind that this is my first time buying a home. It was supposed to be a smooth process and one of the happiest moments of our lives but we felt robbed from that moment. Not only that they would not communicate with my realtor at all. Just when dates were pushed for walkthroughs which were changed at least 5 times. Overall communication was terrible with Lennar. Would I buy a second home with Lennar absolutely not. ... More

Lennar is a very basic home builder whose quality comes in on the lower end for workmanship and materials. They invest heavily in "quality control" and "customer care" that is mostly a facade. That money would be better directed at increasing the quality of labor and adding a few basics like towel bars and shower curtain rods that they cut corners on. If they would adopt a "done right the first time" they would not need an entire multi-level team of "quality control" and "customer care" reps who are little more than dispatchers taught to placate homeowners with words but deliver little in terms of actual solutions. I have had issues with electrical (bad breaker), masonry (bad seals allowing water to trip my electrical), plumbing (low water pressure and random faucet drips), foundation (moisture cracks), flooring (lifted tile), and grading (grading set too high on slab, craters in yard) and have only been in my home 7 weeks. I have had two different contractors no show multiple times, or show up and not complete the work they came to do. The contractors arrive misinformed and underinformed about the problem they are there to fix, without proper tools or crews. I have to invest significant time into waiting on contractors, rescheduling contractors, etc. A Lennar rep does not meet the contractors at your home unless you insist on it, and you are left to attempt to communicate what is needed, often with crews who speak minimal English. It feels like living in a home that is not yet complete, or is undergoing significant renovation, and is very disruptive to your quality of life. ... More

Very Nice, helpful, informative patience

Very hard to get in touch with anyone for any questions, I called the concierge and was told will call back but when I called back to ask regarding the issues then no one pick up the phone. The construction team are great, very thorough walk through, but customer service team are very unhelpful, by the way I closed out my home a month ago and still don’t have a mailbox keys, and still waiting for someone to get back with me regarding because I can’t get in touch with anyone.

Lots of systems not functioning after move in: irrigation system dead, dead grass, electrical braker issue with appliance, paint peeling on front and back doors, no caulking around sinks, bathroom shower tile grout not sealed, drywall concerns.

Great value, great walk thrus, no post closing issues.

Our new home is wonderful! Well built, spacious and pretty! Our sales lady Laura O'Rourke was so helpful and super responsive to all of our questions.

Lennar staff and representatives were attentive, considerate, and sincere with respect to the process associated with our recent home purchase. Lennar wasn't our first home purchase, but it most likely will be our last home purchase considering the volatility of the real estate market.

My wife and I met with the sales rep, Amanda and go preapproved shortly after applying for a Lennar Home Loan. From there, we submitted the required documentation requested by the Mortgage Loan Officer, Christian. We submitted all documentation within the requested time frame and sent the earnest money almost immediately. When our close approached, everything fell apart. We had our inspection a week prior to our close date. We got in touch with John regarding what we would like to be done prior to close. This included the cracked driveway being broken up and re-poured. Upon my wife discussing with John whether we wanted it to be done, he tried to convince us not to do it. He mentioned that our close could be pushed back if we move forward with fixing the driveway and he “wouldn’t want that for us”. After my wife explained to him that we won’t be purchasing a home with a cracked driveway, he moved forward with having the driveway done. Another item we insisted on having replaced was a window upstairs. It wasn’t level when it was shut which could lead to water damage. A week had gone by and the day before close, John called us stating “the power has been shut off, you must have switched the power to your name too early. If we don’t get it back on, the city won’t be able to sign off on the COO. We’re probably going to have to push your close back. Please call them and verify whether they switched the power”. My wife called our power supplier twice to verify it had not been switched to our name – she spoke to two different representatives, and both said the same thing. We called John back to let him know the issue was not on our end. He then proceeded to say power companies lie at times and he’s sure it was switched. We called the distribution service provider, Texas-New Mexico Power and they explained that Lennar had not paid the bill for the month, so the power was shut off. We notified John of the issue, and the power was back on shortly after – no apology from John. Not to mention, we did his job for him. During this time, we were also dealing with issues with the lender side of Lennar – we were initially told we could have a remote close. A few days before close, for some reason, that changed to in person. Christian explained to my wife and I that there is a federal law that states loans with an interest rate lower than 4% are required to close on the property in person. Come to find out, that is a lie. There is no such law with these stipulations. We pushed for a remote close and finally heard the day of that we could close remotely. The morning of close, we had our final walk through. There were several big items needing to be complete before we would close. Dents in both water heaters, seams in carpets had 1/8-inch gaps, the window that was not level and wouldn’t shut. Not to mention, stains and paint drippings throughout the upstairs and downstairs. The morning we arrived, it’s like they just removed the tape from the walkthrough and expected us to forget everything we had pointed out. The water heaters were dented, there was still gaps in the carpet seams, the window wasn’t fixed, and paint was still on the carpet. We thought this would be taken care of, so we had movers scheduled to come that afternoon to move us into our new home. Fortunately, we were able to push them back to the next day. When we mentioned all the issues to John, you could tell he was seething. He explained that the window not being level wouldn’t be an issue and if we wanted it fixed it could be months before we move in, speaking to my wife, again trying to convince her it wasn’t an issue and wasn’t worth fixing. We refused to accept the house with these issues so it was agreed that they would be resolved come the next morning. Fortunately, the window was an easy fix. Had John done his job in the first place and inspected the window, it could have been resolved. Had he been on top of the contractors to resolve the issue we discussed in the first place, we would have closed on the 30th, not the 31st. The day after we were supposed to close, we did one last walk through. Still, paint on the carpet, spots on the walls without texture, the edges of the doors were rough, paint drippings on the vinyl, but at that point our lease was coming to an end, and we had no other choice but to accept the house as-is. John could not have been more rude and less helpful through the process. He was completely disrespectful to me and my wife and didn’t apologize once for all the issues we dealt with. ... More

The AC was not working when we moved in. We did not get internet services for one month from the day we signed. There is a septic truck outside the house every second day. I am not sure if this home is connected to the city sewerage system . Other minor issues need not be mentioned.

Issues with A/C and people digging in our front lawn to connect power to the electrical box in our backyard with no explanation. They also used a ladder to enter our backyard with no permission nd left a pile of dirt in front of our house for a week. Our lawn was dug in so we’re not sure if they’ll fix the lawn damage.

Love the home but would have loved better quality and a little personalization.

Excellent service over all except when dealing with their mortgage division.

Good environment and good price

I hate Lenner. They use the cheapest materials possible, and the quality of life of the homes they build is horrendous. They have monopolized playing in our faces: foundation cracks, appliance issues, and no resolution from Lennar.

Emphasis more on getting the contract signed without proper inspection and taking responsibilities for resolving client's issues. My property had a number of poor finishes and uncompleted snag list of items. This was left for me to arrange post move-in. In addition, I had electrical issues which I was not adequately supported for resolution even though this was a know issue according to the electrical engineer who later fixed the issue. I still have issues to be resolved once I have time to organize it. My experience was a terrible one and would not like it to be repeated.

My home buying was stressful but in the email end it was worth it

My experience was quick and problem free.

Lennar was great to work with. Our turn around from accepting offer to closing was two weeks. We didn't think it could happen but they made it so and we felt very good about the entire transaction.

It’s an easy process and very good experience.
