Cracks on doors that crickets or what Texas bugs come into the house! Dirt from the house being built behind has ruined my backyard after the storm! Neighbors leave their dog ***** on my lawn! Trey is the only that responds! None of these ***** (Keith or benjie) respond after I signed & moved in! I will never buy a Lennar home & in fact will sell this house when I’m able to!

The initial home buying experience was so flawless it almost seemed unreal. It's a cheap little house but it's new and it's ours. Only one complaint we have is the house wasn't thoroughly cleaned before we moved in. That's the only small complaint. Appliances are beautiful and work very well. AC is cold and the insulation is working great as well. It's over 100° in Texas and the temp is constant all day. Lots of warranties and the buying experience was so easy it was a huge relief. They'll explain and go over everything with you at your walkthrough and it's very helpful. If you want an affordable house that's yours and brand new, give it a try. For being a first time homebuyer and expecting a lot better from a major home builder, this is subpar. I know want better, pay more. But at the price the houses are listed at the quality of work is below average. I've only had my home for about 2 months and I've already had to file a "warranty" for different items from their contractors breaking my fence, and damaging my foundation at the same time when laying sod. And doing bare minimum adjustments on a door (and still having that same problem yet again.) When the sod was laid down no dirt was laid to help root the grass, they only scalp the existing grass, lay the sod down, roll it, and then barely wet the grass. So now I'm trying to get grass to grow that already seems dead along with the trees that were planted. Am I happy to be out of my apartment, yes..but I wish I had checked out more houses than settle on an affordable home. ... More

Paint on windows, tape still marking unfinished repairs, no power to several outlets, a/c duct routing in attic looks intentionally chaotic, grass sod left on pallets on sidewalk to die for nearly a week before installation, been moved in for over a month and still don't have a recognized address or mailbox, cheapest/loudest dishwasher I've ever heard, oven sets off smoke alarms during preheat, shower drain is very loud, huge gaps in garage door opening allows snakes and bugs easy access, no support for ceiling fans in living room or master bed, "on-demand" water heater takes over a minute to get luke warm, can hear neighbors talking inside their house from inside mine, tiny garage barely fits 2 small cars, only 1 water spigot and 1 electrical outlet outside. Overall experience was smooth however after the closing the expectation of the blue tap still has outstanding items more than a month in.

This a great home for beginners, has several small details easy to fix on your own, the grass and trees have not warranty they just throw it in there and they don care of its condition so be aware of that, other than that it's a great home

Realtor was great. Sign date kept getting moved further the guy who does home celebration was a complete jerk and the things we needed fixed he just kept saying lennar won't take of that then Michael came and took care of the things I asked for. The people who put the grass in did it in like 3 different days within 2 months

First I have to inform that part of my home buying experience was from long distance; 500 miles away. My experience could have been better if I had been in the immediate area. Some days and processes were frustrating. Sometimes my financial questions would go unanswered. Closing took 2 hours, not 15 minutes as advertised. After closing, house keys could not be found. I was not given enough information regarding transferring utilities to my name. The Trash collection company told me to get trash cans from Lennar; Lennar told me to get them from the Trash collection company. The kitchen island top had a large spot and it took 3 requests to have it cleaned. Dry glue drops on the finished floor that are extremely hard to remove. This was obviously done by an amateur. Paint drops on the floor that shows a drop cloth was not used to prevent this; another obvious amateur job. The kitchen tile back splash has grout smears; amateur job also. One wall tile has a hairline crack that must have been cracked during installation. Bath tubs were dirty with spots of a black substance; still trying to cleanup. With time these flaws will be corrected. The house itself appears to be structurally and mechanically sound and well built and I look forward to years of satisfaction. ... More

The only option to voice my opinion. So many things in my home that are just thrown together, chalking is a mess, ceiling in laundry room STILL not painted under the fan. This flooring has stains I can't get out. This home was not cleaned before I got my keys. AND now ongoing electrical issue in my garage, kitchen and living room! The CRACKS in my garage concrete are spreading and getting bigger!! The building around my house, I understand and put up with the early morning noises Mon through Sat but the music they blast is weighing thin on my patience. It's extremely loud at times. Mud all over my carpet in my bedroom because it is the only way out for my dogs. Why did you put carpet in a room that has the only access to the backyard? I FINALLY got grass, making it somewhat better but I'll be constantly shampooing my carpet in my room. The neighborhood dust, dirt and garbage that blows into my yard I'm picking up on a daily basis (paper bags, empty water bottles and so on) I'm not normally a complaining person but so much has gone south since I moved this brand new home. ... I i've been having problems. with my air conditioner since before we bought the house. I have made four service requests, and while the response has been very good, the underlying problem has not been corrected. in my *****. During the hot summer days, the air conditioner, struggles to cool the house, and the inside temperature rises to 80 degrees. I expect a brand new house to cool better.

Extremely difficult in making contact with representatives when assistance needed.

The home itself is nice. Though I would have to say that the some of the craftsmanship and materials could be done better. I had to recaulk my entire house. Outer walls are kind of thin. There is definitely wasted space in the kitchen cabinets. Had to call in a repair within the first few days of moving in due to water getting in the home when it rained, and the customer service was great. They got someone out quickly to fix the issue. All the customer service interactions I've had have been very positive.

Well, overall not going to purchase another Lennar home. Quality issues overall are horrible. They sublet things to the cheapest vendor they can find and it shows. From plumbing issues due to laziness of pouring construction materials down the toilet drains, to the painters touch up jobs being horrible. You can tell the paint is watered down when the retouches happen and the shades are totally off. Our paint vendor wanted to argue with us and tell us pretty much we didn't know what we were/are doing. The sales guy was great, he came through clutch and stood by everything he mentioned. This rating is based on my experience in purchasing a Lennar house.

I don't think I would ever use the builders finance company again.

[TRANSLATED FROM ES] I need them to thoroughly check all the air conditioning in my house; it's been malfunctioning for about a month now and they still haven't fixed it.

First, I would buy 10 houses from my Lennar New Home Consultant, Alina *****. She is amazing! I don’t think I have ever met such a committed and hardworking woman. That’s the good. The bad, too many cooks in the kitchen with the mortgage side. I didn’t count the emails I received but my husband did and he received over 80 emails by the time we closed—that’s ridiculous! Then there is a Lennar portal which is almost useless. You will go online to check and make sure everything’s done (uploaded, signed, submitted, review, etc) on the portal thinking great everything has been checked off. You of course would be wrong, as you will only discover it wasn’t done because other things are emailed to you separately and it did not show up in the ‘things to do’ that the portal reminds you about. And you have so many emails you don’t know which of the 80 is important or redundant .Plus, you will be asked to upload items and you do (the day they are requested) only to then have someone ask you to re upload them because they can’t find them—even though they are clearly labeled in the portal as originally requested. So what is the point of the portal? Then unfortunately, you get moved from one person to the next so then you don’t know who to reach out to for what ever question you have regarding your loan or mortgage questions. Then if that isn’t enough someone else will start texting and emailing you sending out info or reminders and because you don’t know who they are you can’t determine if they are necessary or superfluous? And I can understand that they’re trying to make each person responsible for a small amount of the process however, if Lennar really cared about their customers, they would explain it to them before the process started. They would say something like, you’re going to be in contact with X many people during this process. After each step is completed you will move onto the next person. If this was explained, it could be streamlined, and the customer would understand what to expect (in my opinion). Lastly, there is the walk though, that is both useful and where the wheels fell off for us. Useful in that you will get important information about where to find what in your new house. You will talk with men who are friendly and charming. Regardless, we had to get 3 inspections because our trust was broken related to that walk through. It’s too long to go into—it was a troubling and unfortunate situation. I would just encourage people to get and speak to your home inspector about follow up inspections (ours was incredibly reasonable rate wise). Then after it’s all said and done you fill out the survey and to Lennar’s credit someone did reach out both from the mortgage department and from the construction side. They listened and I was honest about the good and the bad. I appreciated that and respected them for having an open dialogue about the missteps without making excuses. So now I live in my home. I was told that they would come and repair a problem I have with the the interior door of the garage quickly since I had such a bad experience with the sale process. I didn’t pile on and ask for a ton of things just this one annoying door. It’s been a month and wouldn’t you know it, no one has made time to take the 5 minutes to fix it. Nice words no follow through. So in ending, I started nice and I will end nice. Lennar has great floor plans. They leave a lot to be desired but at least the bones are good. The people I have interacted with have all been mostly warm and friendly and I appreciate that. I truly think that things fall through the cracks when people are rushed and overworked. The door from my home to the garage has a bathroom doorknob, not a locking one. I was told that would be replaced. Also the cupboard in the kitchen is not square. The new refrigerator I bought is square and the adjacent corner on the outside of the pantry os not, there is a widening gap that demonstrates this in a very obvious way.

Quality of finishes, sloppy.

No matter how many bad reviews are written about this company I know nothing will change. But here's another one. The quality in this house is sub par, we've had people in and out of this house at least once a week fixing things and we have only lived here 3 moths.
