I love my home but I feel like the purchasing experience wasn't good. The initial sales team was good and showed me the homes and features. I saw the same home listed for 25,000 to 30,000 less in the same street and I was told there was no room for negotiation. Then, once I chose the home and did the first blue tape walk, the construction team would just remove the blue tape but not fix the issues. I had to go multiple times to the house and remark with blue tape. The construction guy kept telling me they would fix the things, but next time the it was the same. Even after moving in, the same items were still open. Warranty guys have been pretty good and nice. Just the construction team needs to do better to follow up with the things to fix. ... More

I am so grateful that I was recommended Lennar builders because they gave me a chance to be a homeowner again after selling my last home with really bad broken Foundation. Being on disability Lennar builders gave me a chance and also I have brand new affordable living. How can you beat that ? Thank God for Lennar builders and all of their hard working team.

The only thing I have a problem with, and that I have had an issue with is the grass. It took a long time to get it, and when I did it set outside of the house, on a good day for three days and then again another three days. They did some of my yard, then they added a little more a couple of days later, and then they stopped and I'm still missing a big chunk. It's been three days, the grass will be dead by the time I get around to i Watering it. This process has been painfully slow and by the time it's done, I have a lot of dead grass. This makes me very sad and a little upset

In the beginning stages of the home buying process I was appointed Sabrina as my home buyer concierge. I was informed I would contact her for any of the home buying process and needs for scheduling and working the process. Working with her was very unprofessional. I called her multiple times for different issues such as scheduling and trying to confirm dates and times for things such as the blue tape walk and closing date. She was unresponsive to multiple phone calls with no intention to call or respond back. She texted me one day after calling her multiple times in the morning and said “one sec I’ll call you back, finishing lunch” and never called back and I had to call her the next day and she answered as if she was confused. I understand people are busy but this type of customer service is unprofessional and make it seem like buying a home isn’t a big deal. This is my second home purchase and honestly I’m kinda glad because this expierence did not feel special. I litterally had to hit up my loan officer Frank for help on things the homebuyer concierge should be doing. Houses are relatively inexpensive but with that comes shoddy workmanship. Quality control needs to be better

The home was mostly finished by the time I had found it and submitted the application for it. Communication was an issue, making sure corrections were done correctly..were an issue. The whole home was basically covered in blue tape. Walls had super thin coat of paint, could see under it. The caulking was so bad, and even when they came to fix it, I had to correct the painter/caulker (same guy) on how to make it look neat and correct it while he was there. He also got paint on the carpet. While I was doing the 1st walk through, he came in and started paitning everything and removing the blue tape that was there. I've also had issues with the electric in the home as well. I had a breaker that kept popping for my fridge, only to find out that they didn't wire it correctly. Now I am having another breaker pop because of the wiring. There is still glue marks all throughout the house that I am trying to get fixed. The gas line was not turned on, after asking multiple times before I signed the paperwork if it was turned on or not. The cabinets when they were installed originally, had a massive gap and was not set correctly. The interior aspect of the home was rough, along with the exterior. There were so many things that needed to get fixed. Communication with the lady coordinating everything, was rough. She was kind of rude, didn't really listen to my concerns fully. The PM and Warranty guy, were communicative and helped me the most out of everyone. I would highly recommend getting better workers that are more OCD about getting the house perfect for new homes. OH! and also. LOL uhhh. Yall need to check on this issue. - The landscape.. I came home while they were putting the sod down, and they had placed the tree right next to the transformer in the front yard. With the oak tree, the roots expand SO MUCH and that would have created a MASSIVE issue. I had them move the tree to the back yard. But on the other side of my house, they planted the tree right next to the water and gas meter lines as well, which will eventually have issues. I'm not sure why they would put tree's that close to permanent fixtures like that.. but it is incredibly dangerous and will cause issues in the future. Do better. ... More

I liked the process of checking new properties and the overall level of communication from their departments.

Salesperson great no problem very nice,title company good no problem, building manager not very friendly and there was issues with outside house paint he did not want to take care off it, I had to talk to other people to solve the problem,building manager not very good

Compared to my previous experiences with well-known home builders, working with Lennar was a nightmare. From start to finish, it was clear that their only priority was the bottom line. We had to constantly push for people to do their jobs, and when we did, the responses were unprofessional and inadequate. This also extends to the people who were supposed to respond to our complaints—there was no accountability. I would not recommend Lennar to anyone.

I loved how helpful everyone was. The house has a lot of space. Love my master bathroom closet. Everything in the house is awesome for the price. I am very happy with my purchase.

Never spoke with the same person before buying. Left wife off title despite being told to put her on it. Communication was the worst ever. Deadlines never met yet I was rushed to do my parts. Landscaping not put in when originally told. Builder took forever to finalize final inspection for city because of landscaping delay. This prevented me from getting utilities moved into my name until two weeks after signing. Kitchen base boards not attached to anything. Paint is terrible quality and is easily marked and damaged. Home buying process was stressful and no one from Lennar was helpful.

the overall purchase was nice and there were no issues I am currently going through the process for some cabinet issues and so far that process has been great, but it is still in process. We moved from out of state and unfortunately the company could not wait an extra 6 days to do the landscaping and all of our grass is probably not going to make it and looks dead At this point this is the main issue we have.

Lennar is a company with a lot of staff for every moment of the buying process. They guide you step by step. But they push for the closing date, and YOU HAVE TO CLOSE, even when THE INSPECTION DETAILS ARE NOT FULLY ARRANGED. I bought almost 2 months ago, and they still haven't fixed MANY details of the roof, attic, water keys, etc.

It was really awesome there is an entire team that walks you thru the process. You start in sales then you get a concierge and your salesperson and concierge work together to handle any questions or concerns you have. They reach out to the construction manager. It was the best experience ever.

Honestly for a new home it wasn’t the worst but I definitely had to stay on top of things after moving in. They missed a bunch of stuff. The contractors they use are garbage. When putting in tickets to get things fixed that they messed up on or didn’t do it’s like pulling teeth.. had to put multiple tickets to get things done. Horrible customer service. Even the guy who is suppose to take care of things talked to me like I didn’t know anything and I had to put in another ticket just to get him to fix it.. they ruined my lawn and only half fixed it and told me they weren’t going to fix it after it was there fault to begin with.. told me to water it more when the grass was already dead.. in stage 3 water restrictions and gave me a 900$ bill cause they wouldn’t just fix the problem. The home is built with a high standard.

My 5th new home purchase, my second dealing with Lennar(my mom’s home a couple years back) both experiences with quality workmanship, very pleased. Designs in both cases exactly what we needed. Extremely pleased with my mom’s new home build which made buying Lennar for myself a no brainer. If ever buy again I know where i’m shopping first.

With all new homes you have issues. The Lennar team made sure my home was A+. Lennar provided me a new home at a price point I couldn’t of obtained with out their national power. I think they get some negative reviews because of the amount of homes they produce for first time home owners. Thank you Lennar!

Marcus, our sales rep, was great! We were a walk in and he showed us a floorplan which we really loved. He was attentive and knew exactly what we were working with and on the same page as far as pricing, lending, etc. With our approvals in place, we went into escrow. We did a home inspection, which we were basically rushed into because we were notified the Lennar Mortgage wanted to close a couple of weeks early (I'm guessing to meet end of month/quarter goals). We agreed because we just wanted to be on the same page as everyone and do what we needed to close the deal. We were promised that some of the items that weren't taken care of by closing would be taken care of such as missing cabinet shelf, concrete splatter on the walkway and driveway, an unfinished attic door, among other things. Once we received the keys, its as if they didn't care anymore. Our builder rep no longer returned any phone calls or text. I touched base with Marcus again and he was disappointed they left us hanging like that and just recommended I contact the warranty department and try to go that route. I've already done so and it has been a week since I've heard anything. My confidence level is low that they'll even get back to me. If you are thinking of buying with Lennar, I recommend holding the construction manager and building representatives accountable. Get their names and phone numbers and be proactive because they are likely too busy to contact you themselves. ... More
