Honestly for a new home it wasn’t the worst but I definitely had to stay on top of things after moving in. They missed a bunch of stuff. The contractors they use are garbage. When putting in tickets to get things fixed that they messed up on or didn’t do it’s like pulling teeth.. had to put multiple tickets to get things done. Horrible customer service. Even the guy who is suppose to take care of things talked to me like I didn’t know anything and I had to put in another ticket just to get him to fix it.. they ruined my lawn and only half fixed it and told me they weren’t going to fix it after it was there fault to begin with.. told me to water it more when the grass was already dead.. in stage 3 water restrictions and gave me a 900$ bill cause they wouldn’t just fix the problem. The home is built with a high standard.

My 5th new home purchase, my second dealing with Lennar(my mom’s home a couple years back) both experiences with quality workmanship, very pleased. Designs in both cases exactly what we needed. Extremely pleased with my mom’s new home build which made buying Lennar for myself a no brainer. If ever buy again I know where i’m shopping first.

With all new homes you have issues. The Lennar team made sure my home was A+. Lennar provided me a new home at a price point I couldn’t of obtained with out their national power. I think they get some negative reviews because of the amount of homes they produce for first time home owners. Thank you Lennar!

Marcus, our sales rep, was great! We were a walk in and he showed us a floorplan which we really loved. He was attentive and knew exactly what we were working with and on the same page as far as pricing, lending, etc. With our approvals in place, we went into escrow. We did a home inspection, which we were basically rushed into because we were notified the Lennar Mortgage wanted to close a couple of weeks early (I'm guessing to meet end of month/quarter goals). We agreed because we just wanted to be on the same page as everyone and do what we needed to close the deal. We were promised that some of the items that weren't taken care of by closing would be taken care of such as missing cabinet shelf, concrete splatter on the walkway and driveway, an unfinished attic door, among other things. Once we received the keys, its as if they didn't care anymore. Our builder rep no longer returned any phone calls or text. I touched base with Marcus again and he was disappointed they left us hanging like that and just recommended I contact the warranty department and try to go that route. I've already done so and it has been a week since I've heard anything. My confidence level is low that they'll even get back to me. If you are thinking of buying with Lennar, I recommend holding the construction manager and building representatives accountable. Get their names and phone numbers and be proactive because they are likely too busy to contact you themselves. ... More

The staff at Lennar were always helpful - guiding me and responding to questions asked.

Overall buying experience was very good with a few exceptions. The appraisal company and the associated fee was just nothing but gouging. There is no need, especially when they are the builder and lender to have an appraisal done , the appraisal itself was filled with several noticeable errors. Then to be charged when I had to correct the appraisal twice for clear errors is totally unacceptable. The other bad thing which you would have thought would have been a perk was the sod they installed, it was just thrown down with no prep so it isn't smooth and needed lots of supplemental work to even get a smooth grass surface. Was going to use their subcontractor but after watching them install would never use them again. The price is what makes the buy work cause you definitely get what you are paying for with Lennar. They skimp out on some of the most basic or simple things. Just be prepared for having to supplement lots of little things that would have made the buy an exceptional experience, as it was it was good on some things but really bad on several others which would likely me avoid Lennar in the future. ... I must of dealt with 8 different employees when I had a real estate agent. I did all the work of the agent. Talking to 8 different people is not only confusing it was hard to hold anyone accountable for the mistakes.

Great sales staff and crew.

Lots of nice promises, but a complete failure in following through with those promises. Assigned a "concierge" to help with the closing process who was completely useless. Closing process was delayed due to Lennar's failure to have the paperwork ready. Pre-closing inspection seemed to go well except that very little of the inspection faults were actually resolved. Installed dead sod, breaking multiple sprinkler heads in the process, failed to respond to a work order for a faulty circuit breaker that tripped every time the refrigerator compressor kicked on, installed a fence with severely warped lumber, and the list goes on. Bottom line = I would never recommend a Lennar built home to anyone. ... More

Was ok, i provided everything on my end. And just a bunch of waiting for myself, some questions were not really resolved just put on hold. I've been trying to contact my loan officer and others for current questions regarding final inspections but no one responses, or call backs.

Buying a home from Lennar was a breeze. The building manager for our community was a huge help once we closed and moved on from our concierge. Everyone on their team was a huge help. One down side would be the attention to detail with some of the build. Missing paint after the blue tape inspections, Hardware or tools left in the home such as saw blades or nails not fully installed. Small fixes but otherwise everything was amazing.

First home. Priced where I needed it. They’re quick to respond for work orders, but depending on what you need will depend on how condescending some of the vendors you have to use or field people are with concerns. Quite a few things were ignored on final walk through and still problematic and/or will be within the next year. Almost died from a gas leak the plumber blamed rhe HVAC and builder for and in the same breath said it was my fault for calling the gas company instead of them. For the most part, you get what you paid for.

Mortgage application was very difficult. The rules that were applied for the mortgage application differed from other mortgage companies I had contacted. It was discouraging. I would not go thru that process again. I got the mortgage, but I paid it off with the proceeds of the sale of my former home.

The process was so easy the loan officers were such a pleasure to work with any one who wants to buy a home i highly recommend lennar. They will work with you any way possible.

Everyone I have spoken to had a bad experience with Lennar, that is a bad coincidence. "The builders try to get away with short cuts and hide things". "If you do not get your own third party inspector then your home will be put together with staples" is what I was told by an existing neighbors when viewing homes and speaking to other home owners in the neighborhood. I got a great deal on the house that is the only reason I bought it, I couldn't pass it up. The area, the builder, had nothing to do with it. I don't have anything to say about Lennar, because I wasn't worried about how they treated me, I don't need to make friends, I was concerned about the home and made sure they did it right. ... More

I don't now recall the name of our builder rep because we never met him. Tim was there in his stead the whole time. Tim was great! The warranty rep was nice and responsive as well. The sale rep was also kind and helpful. I will say that the choice of using regrettably cheap paint, the state of the garage (inside) left by the builders, unfortunate choice and handling of the sod, and drops of paint left on my carpet was not cool. My ultimate negative issue is that of only having ONE external hose. It is inane that there is not one on the opposite corner or at least one in the back yard. What a huge inconvenience for the homeowner. I would expect better quality paint, appliances above the cheapest option, and a bit more care put into the garage walls and water spout placement. ... great investment home for my budget

Overall, the home buying experience was ok, it was after and the issue I had was getting creditors checks to pay my bills; it took 3 months....very unacceptable. Messages were not returned from the office on 410 and Jones Maltburger, I feel I was just ignored.

Fair work and fast responses

Got a 2 story new home it's 1,950 square feet and they installed a 2 1/2 ton unit that does not cool properly the way it should they have gone out 4 times and still can't find solution and they know that the problem is that the unit is to small for house doent cool it at all down stairs till this day they haven't resolved anything and it's been over a month!!!!
