Home was half way built when I found it. Weekly checkups i saw good work. On final walk found mainly drywall issues and one foundation issue. Both fixed before move in. On move in found the internet cables in the wall were not connected and the back porch light wouldn't work. Lennar had light fixed on a warranty claim in a week. I had to fix the cables, the guys lennar sent out didn't know how to fix. About a month in the garage door came off track. Lennar had the installer out within a week and fixed. Your milage may vary, but so far nothing but positives to say about Lennar as a ...

At first Lennar seems like a great company to work with. That quickly disappears once they have you under contract. They expect everything under the sun from you at a moments notice. Yet, when you have questions or concerns they take their sweet time. There were a lot of small issues we found during our new home orientation. They had 8 days to fix them yet most of them were “fixed” during the final walkthrough. We are mostly happy with our home but I would not recommend Lennar to anyone. It was a stressful experience.

Very Easy Process

The overall process was very easy. Everything was pretty much done online at the convenience of own time on my phone such as the closing documents was done on my phone, so that was pretty neat. I would honestly say that these homes are built very cheap. The materials and labor that go into the home can be so much better. It’s like they are instructed to get the cheapest materials possible for everything that goes into your home but charge the homeowner an arm and a leg for the mortgage. Other than that, my Collier home is a pretty decent home for a couple or very small family.

Bad Experience

The process of buying the home was not a smooth purchase at all. Our Lennar rep put us in a bind even though we had brought up the issues in advance. The construction crew left a mess on the exterior so I was having to pick up paneling boards and other materials that were left behind. I wear braces on both legs so struggled to bend over to pick up heavy paneling. They did not level out the top soil before putting the sod down and we had asked for this. We were told a cleaning crew would clean the interior but on the day we finally got our keys, the house was still dirty. Paint and glue stains ...

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear you had to pick up after the construction crew and the difficulties that this caused. I have shared your review with the customer care team. We hope that moving forward we can offer you a better Homeowner experience. Sincerely, Lennar Corporate Customer Care

1. We expected Lennar would install top soil and follow SAWS guidelines when planting it, as Paul Canyon is served by SAWS. Instead, in less than 48 hours, our grass died although we watered it following SAWS rules. 2. Lennar sales representative sold us the house assuring us that the sod would be planted to the fence and later we found out that was not the case. She either misinformed us or plainly lied.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are sorry to hear we did not meet your expectations regarding the sod. The most frustrating home buying process I’ve experienced. The mortgage team continuously sent documents for signature with errors, and when pointed out repeated said to just sign them as they were only for underwriting and we’d just be signing them again later with different info. Very uncomfortable process. I was still resigning corrected papers a month after closing that I had pointed out previously and told to not worry. They also rarely responded to questions without multiple attempts for info, but were always in a hurry to have documents returned immediately regardless of the time of ...

Home looks fine, but sloppy builds. cabinets are not leveled, cabinet door rubs against base when opening, a lot of edges need caulk as there’s small cracks, paint thinned/cracks on top of walls. Tons of smaller details. No window screens, no fans, and little things they can do to improve. Overall good experience, but could definitely step it up for a better review!

Living a Nightmare and not waking up....

Overall Homebuying experience with Lennar has been a "nightmare". First they would not put in the right outside light like "every other house" on my street has, they told me there was a blue print change but if you go through the neighborhood you will see that my house and only 1 other has NO outside light like all the other houses. Then the gas leak that I had to find and had to have the gas company come out to fix. Then the water is running and the water company is charging me an arm in leg because the metor was broke. Now the sprinkler system is leaking and Lennar keeps sending out ...

Lenar mortgage was not enjoyable to deal with. Had deep concerns and some issues. The utilities were a bit of a shock mostly with the water company. Our new home advisor concierge Wes, was sarcastic and not pleasant to talk too. Cell phone service isn’t good for T-Mobile I had to get a signal booster, had issues right away with AC, Sod not being installed and communication. The interior paint is flat paint and there are dribbles here and there we are still finding. Over all it’s a ok built home for the price in today’s market. I’m having a bit of a better experience now that many of the ...

Easy purchase process, great price, decent house. Dirty floors when I moved in, I was told I would get a tree in the front and back yard, I have a tree in the front now but not in the back yard nor did they sod the entire backyard which I didn't find out about that until it was too late. Some fit and finish issues and my dryer breaker randomly trips when the dryer is off.

I was so excited to find a home that fit my budget. The floor plan was perfect. The location convenient for shopping and providing easy access to local events and entertainment options. Reality set in. Quality of home, once I remembered I wasn't in the luxury market, is acceptable. Pay attention when you do your final walkthrough to minimize return visits from the trades to fix issues. Quality of appliances that were included were entry level builders models. Be prepared to buy your own refrigerator and laundry appliances. Lennar builds homes at a variety of levels. I'm sure their ...

Heavily implied sod and trees would be delayed until I was able to arrive at the home. Told it would be documented. Neither happened and there was no follow up on the matter. Trees were replaced but sod left to me, which will cost me $8k out of pocket to replace. Multiple breakers keep popping and have to keep submitting work orders. Garbage disposal never worked. Dishwasher stopped working. Wasn't told there wouldn't be window screens. Multiple areas still need touch up paint. Multiple areas weren't cleaned from paint droplets. Overall feel I was taken advantage of and not properly assisted ...

The loan officer Adam and his team did an amazing job when my husband and I were purchasing our new home. Adam stayed on top of things to the very end and even when we had questions after purchasing the home he was very helpful. That’s when I knew he really cared. Also the people at the title company were so patient and great communicators. If I had to start all over, I would love working with them.
