It was kind of a mixed experience dealing with Lennar. I guess in this day and age, so much is electronic and that could be an issue for older, not so tech savvy folks. That was a struggle, especially since our move was from over 200 miles from the new home. Overall the home itself is great and so far andthe HOA seems to be a decent one... Again, so far. Quality of the build and materials is good. One major issue is the landscape company that put in the sod. Get another source of a landscape company because the job done on the sod for this home(and many others in the neighborhood) was really unacceptable. Preparation of the land was terrible and weeds shot out of it immediately. We were told the landscaping would be levelled, but was done hurriedly and not a good job. Someone may get injured because of the uneven, bad job laying the sod. And only 15 ft. from the back of the home??? The sod company shorted ours by 3 ft. and still refused to go to the fence when I offered to pay the difference. When they laid the missing sod, it was already dead and most has not come back to life after a month. All 4 trees they planted have died. How does Double H landscaping stay in business? And their customer service is so rude and condescending. Response from Lennar on a couple minor warranty issue has been timely so far. It's too bad that Lennar doesn't offer certain items that could be installed, even at a cost: such as blinds, ceiling fans, or a spray faucet for the kitchen sink. ... More

Problem with closing disclosure was not fixed until the last minute despite calling their attention to it several times weeks before closing.

You definitely get what you pay for. After having several professionals come out to look at certain things, I get the same outcome. Lennar uses the cheapest materials and will do whatever to save money on their end. A bit disappointed after only living here for less than three months. There’s paint on the floors throughout the house and even on the carpet in the bedrooms. The glue that was used for the flooring is smeared throughout the hallways and it looks terrible. Still trying to find something to remove that without ruining the floors. I have found a couple of blue tape spots that were not addressed. An example, there are staples that are not completely pushed in around the door but were painted over. Looks terrible. After this experience, all I have to say is that if you’re looking for a cheap home, Lennar is the place to go with! I can only imagine the issues I’ll have later on. ... More

After the close communication was lacking. Multiple messages on the portal and no responses. Called directly as was directed to a supervisor, rhat just went to an answering system. Human contact is difficult person to person. Electronic contact breaks down when people are no longer with the company and the client is not aware.

Probably from the beginning working with the sales rep that did the application process with me. After we finish the transaction, the next day switched properties and I could never get a hold of him again it was a terrible experience on his part. The home had a lot of issues and I had to get an inspection twice because they weren’t all completed on the first go round so it cost me double to get it inspected. The day before my closing, the construction manager took care of the roof and the paint on the house and some other issues we walked through before I moved in. TY, the construction manager, did a great job that day making me feel more comfortable about buying the home. It was very stressful during the purchase period as the deposit didn’t clear and again the sales rep was nonresponsive, and he was the only one who can get me back to the deposit website. I think the total overall issue I had was with the sales rep being non-responsive. And then to think that you have to go back-and-forth and back-and-non-responsive and complain until somebody listens It’s unbelievable. I wasn’t fond of the customer care team member, Hanah I felt she was short and didn’t wanna be bothered I never felt like she listened. I felt she put me off. Kevin, the cust care team member that handled the walkthrough was great to work with as well. The closing team was great and Jeremiah on the loan side was terrific too. I can honestly say my first time home buying purchase didn't go as well planned. My loan officer was horrible at communicating. If I never reached out to her she would probably have never called me etc. the lady who showed us the houses stopped talking to us after she knew we were going to be purchasing the home. The communication was poorly all around. Joshua the construction manager was amazing and Brandon the warranty manager was also very helpful. Over the home is what I wanted and 2 months in no issues have been raised.

Let me start but saying I love my house and location! The sales agent was great and very friendly! The mortgage side is 10 out of 10! Very easy, responsive and very nice. The construction team is horrible. Late to every meeting if they showed up at all. Didn’t fix all the items on my pre closing walk. It was cosmetic but still wasn’t fixed. The house closed without grass. It’s been 45 days since closing and still do not have grass. Mind you it has rained some but they do not respond to canceled start dates or follow up. I text them with no response. I love my house and don’t regret a thing but constriction team has to go! I don’t mean the actual builder guys because they seem to be good! I mean the supervisors. ... This is my 2nd Lennar home and it does not measure up to my previous experience. I paid more for my current home and received less perks. The construction was also rushed and I have been experiencing problems. Granted the Customer Service team is quick to reply, I am just not excited when I find additional issues to report.

I wasn’t told that only primer was painted on the walls therefore I would need to paint the whole inside of the house. The house didn’t come with towel racks in the bathroom. The house floors were not clean. I had questions during closing but couldn’t ask any because they made me do my closing online and by law the lady couldn’t answer any questions. They put a mandatory tree in the backyard which only goes out 10ft. If this tree grows big the roots are going to mess up the foundation. Also, the grass they put down was already dead leaving several people with brown grass.

There was workers on the house after closing, the carpet on one of the bedrooms had stain that never was clean up properly, the electric company took long time to respond for eléctricas issues. Del hoyos did a good job.

Don’t rush into the purchase. Know the HOA rules before committing to the purchase. Example. Trash can screen was required for home without garage but was not told that by the realtor or sales rep. The screen costs an additional $500.

I want to start off with a few positives, the house is nice and spacious, the neighborhood looks and seems nice. (Still waiting on amenities). The home buying process for me was pretty awful. The sales agent was very attentive until I submitted an application. He did advise me that I’d hear from the loan officer the next morning (it was a Sunday, no big deal). After three days of not hearing from anyone, I began sending messages to the sales agent, and within the Lennar mortgage portal (I uploaded all of the required docs based on what was recommended within the application process). Finally received a very brief call acknowledging they have my application. I basically heard nothing else until I reached out again a few weeks later asking if I am approved and how I disliked this process. I received a fairly quick response stating I had my new home owners meeting the next day (they never asked if I was available nor said I was approved). Completed that walk through with whom I thought was a stranger. (Wasn’t the name I was given but she was nice). After another week and a half of silence I reached out yet again asking what’s going on and if I’m approved. Finally got a response saying oh yes, you’ve been approved for weeks, you close in less than 48 hours. That was an extremely stressful process and trying to put a rush on transferring money from one account to another to play my downpayment with title was also stressful. The signing process was done virtually. The title agent never reached out to me I ended up having to bring more to closing because the LO never informed the title company that I paid my earnest money the day I completed my application. (I did receive a refund about a week later). Once I completed my closing, I ran to get my key (they only offer a 15 min key pick up window of time) and low and behold, they had no idea I closed on my loan. Waited more than an hour for them to tell me they don’t have any keys for me. And the construction manager will have to have some made. My entire car was filled with household items (thought I was moving in) , so the agent at the leasing office kindly let me in. Once I got inside I found a window was open and the lock was busted off of it, and the bathroom vanity’s front face fell off onto my foot and busted open my toes. Home is not senior friendly. Doors are not wide enough to get appliances in without taking apart Doors leak at corners the stuff you call sod looks like it came out of a cow Pasteur you have a long way to go to call yourself a good home builder. Ron

My experience was very average

All staff from various departments were friendly but there were so many involved that no one seemed to know what the other departments were doing. All staff were responsive wmexcept for one concierge Hanah who often did not respond to requests. I joked with the manager that Lennar should be paying me a salary as I had to do so much work in coordinating staff between departments. It wasn’t at all seamless or efficient

I purchased a home Lennar. They did not pressure wash my driveway. They didn’t clean my yard after I purchased it. I had to ask them twice. The “free grass” I got is actually making me pay extra to get treated and my landscaper just told me I need to get all new grass. The HOA is asking me to get my yard treated

I’d paid 240,000 dollars for a home id expect a lawn to be finished. But no, Lennar only does half the lawn. It’s a bit ridiculous to be honest. On top of that the grass installed was installed dead. Nicks, dents and holes throughout the house.(partially on me though for not hiring my own inspector) Electrical issues from the jump. If you go with Lennar make sure your around for the whole project or just avoid it. The HOA is nice. The locations nice. Lennar…Ehh.

Sales in my opinion very poor. Was handed a list of homes and a house key and told go check them out and let me know if you want one. Construction purchased a finished inventory home. I walked the home 2weeks prior to my official walk thru and made a list of punch items. I gave this list to sales requesting it to be given to the construction team. The day of the walk thru none of the items had been addressed. Closing had to be moved 3 or 4 times. Had to reschedule movers twice, and they simply just didn't care. After many emails from “concierges”, never laying eyes on any that I was passed around to, final walk through was done by Rebecca. She was nice enough but it was obvious she did this day in, day out, so was very pushy about getting done. All issues found were corrected on the spot! This is my first experience with Lennar, but not my first home buying experience. I felt like I was being herded through the process, this lady did not really care if I was happy or not. Through the entire process, first look to deciding to buy, then actually getting it purchased I was given incorrect information at times, had to reach out to whichever “concierge” I was assigned to at the time to get information on times, dates. Thankfully I had a realtor who was extremely engaged and helpful. Foreman Max turned out to be very helpful as well. ... More

I would say at first, it was very stressful buying a house and going through the process since I had never purchased a home before. To be honest, it didn’t feel like they cared much. The congratulations seemed insincere and no one bothers to ask you what it’s like to be living in the house even after a month or two. It had a lot of cosmetic and house problems, they’re too much in a hurry to get the house on the market that they miss even the biggest things that are wrong with the house like some of your roof missing. These are peoples homes. This is where they’ll be living for a long time. I think the craftsmanship and the workmanship should be vital. Other than that I really do love my home, it’s a quiet area but I feel that the house building needs to be a lot better instead of faster. ... More

The portal sucks and hard to read. The bright side was that Everlyn P was always available and super helpful She made the terrible experience of the portal easier.

The sales rep was very helpful with the entire process. My only complaint with the property is the carpet was not cleaned and the cabinets are low quality so a few corners are mashed in. I am extremely disappointed that the builder decided to add fencing to the entire community except for the first few houses were purchased. What's worse is that although different lots can vary by price, soon after I committed the price of the same model dropped by $20K.

At the start of my homebuying experience, I worked with sales rep Angel, who was terrific. He was very knowledgeable, and if he did not know the answer, he got me the answer. Angel showed me houses in four different cities around San Antonio. He never made me feel like a hassle and made it a point to help me when coming into town, as he knew I was purchasing out-of-state. When I decided to move forward with a house in Bulverde, I was told there were no sales incentives on the house because it was not included in the year-end sales event as it would not be closing by the end of the year. I was informed that this house had a closing date of December 5th. After putting my earnest money down on the house, I was told that my closing date had moved forward almost two weeks. When I voiced that this would be a financial burden as I would buy last-minute plane tickets to attend all the orientations and the closing day, I requested that we keep the original closing date of December 5th. I was then told that if I did not close by the new date they set, I would accrue fees for delaying the process. This response was disheartening. I then asked for sales concessions to help offset the additional costs I would incur due to the close of escrow moving up. I was told there was nothing Lennar could do to help assist me. I did not want to lose my earnest money or incur fees, so I moved forward with my first orientation with Brett. My initial orientation with Brett was very informative and validated my concerns. He took his time to explain and answer all my questions as a new homebuyer. I was offered the opportunity to complete my second walk virtually. My brother attended this walk, but I could not participate because I couldn't get the time off with such short notice. While the virtual walk was convenient and appreciated, it did not allow us to conduct a thorough inspection to make sure all the items from our previous walk were completed. Due to closing escrow, during the holiday season, my busiest work time, I could not go out to the house for 6 weeks from the day I close. I was disappointed when I picked up the keys and walked into my house for the first time. My back door and garage were left unlocked, allowing people to enter my home after closing. Additionally, I found dried mud on the floor and dried food remnants in my sink. As I walked through the rest of the house, I discovered that a blind was missing from my primary room, and several cabinet hinges that were initially there were missing during my walk with Brett. Upon further inspection, I noticed that things from my first walk were not completed, and additional damage to my flooring occurred after the final walk. I immediately contacted my customer service rep, Brett, to inform him of the uncleanliness of my house and other concerns. Brett told me the house does not get a detailed cleaning before closing. After expressing my frustrations and other concerns regarding the home, Brett met with me to ensure my concerns were addressed. Overall, I am thoroughly disappointed with my homebuying experience with Lennar. This not only caused me not to consider purchasing a Lennar home in the future but has also discouraged my other family members from purchasing a Lennar despite having had positive experiences with them. Loan officer Miranda was amazing. Was told corrections were being made at final walkthrough that weren’t when we moved in. Took 2 days to get access to a home we owned without explanation. After move in warranty response is unreliable including having contractor show up at 5 pm after being home all day to say he can’t do the work. No follow up after. Loan officers are super helpful and answer all emails and questions. The home is good value for price, but some parts of the process are highly lacking in customer service.

Karina, my sales representative, did an excellent job showing me homes that matched my preferences. Brandon, one of the builders, provided a thorough explanation of everything I’d need to properly care for my home. During my home orientation, Daniel, another builder, addressed issues promptly and did a fantastic job resolving them. Unfortunately, my experience with Michael, the loan officer, was disappointing. He was dishonest during the process, and when I requested to speak with a supervisor about the matter after I verified his credentials, I saw he redirected me to one of his colleagues instead.
