Vista Bella Inventory Home

My wife and I were looking for a quick move in the North East area and found an inventory home that met mostly all of our needs. In general, we are pleased with the home - there are a few areas of the home that look like they were an after thought in terms of quality of workmanship. The previous home we owned was a Ryland, and we never had issues with workmanship/cosmetic fixes. We've only been in our new home a few months and they are plenty workmanship issues that we are not happy with. For the price we paid, there shouldn't be as many small issues as we have been finding (sloppy Job with ...

Nice people, poor contractors

The team for Lennar are awesome, but the quality, design, and contractors used are lacking. Contractors are sloppy and leaves trash throughout site and neighborhood, design was not up to my expectations, plenty of room but lacked drawers in bathroom and linen closet.

Lennar responded:
Hi Melissa, thank you for your comments about your home and community. We are sorry to hear about the difficulties you mentioned. Please feel free to share any additional comments with us at corporatecustomercare@lennar.com, so we can review and follow up for you. - Lennar Customer Care

Don’t finish lawn…?

I’d paid 240,000 dollars for a home id expect a lawn to be finished. But no, Lennar only does half the lawn. It’s a bit ridiculous to be honest. On top of that the grass installed was installed dead. Nicks, dents and holes throughout the house.(partially on me though for not hiring my own inspector) Electrical issues from the jump. If you go with Lennar make sure your around for the whole project or just avoid it. The HOA is nice. The locations nice. Lennar…Ehh.

Shortfall at Every Step

At the start of my homebuying experience, I worked with sales rep Angel, who was terrific. He was very knowledgeable, and if he did not know the answer, he got me the answer. Angel showed me houses in four different cities around San Antonio. He never made me feel like a hassle and made it a point to help me when coming into town, as he knew I was purchasing out-of-state. When I decided to move forward with a house in Bulverde, I was told there were no sales incentives on the house because it was not included in the year-end sales event as it would not be closing by the end of the year. I ...

Loan officer Miranda was amazing. Was told corrections were being made at final walkthrough that weren’t when we moved in. Took 2 days to get access to a home we owned without explanation. After move in warranty response is unreliable including having contractor show up at 5 pm after being home all day to say he can’t do the work. No follow up after. Loan officers are super helpful and answer all emails and questions. The home is good value for price, but some parts of the process are highly lacking in customer service.

Great Builders and Sales Representatives, But Disappointing Experience with the Loan Officer

Karina, my sales representative, did an excellent job showing me homes that matched my preferences. Brandon, one of the builders, provided a thorough explanation of everything I’d need to properly care for my home. During my home orientation, Daniel, another builder, addressed issues promptly and did a fantastic job resolving them. Unfortunately, my experience with Michael, the loan officer, was disappointing. He was dishonest during the process, and when I requested to speak with a supervisor about the matter after I verified his credentials, I saw he redirected me to one of his ...

Several unfinished issues at move-in

No sod or fence for several weeks so needed to deal with massive mud and inconvenience since having pets needing to go outside. The house was stated to have been cleaned but it was not. The flooring has paint splatters and black marks throughout the home, inside all cabinets were filthy so unpacking had to wait until I had to clean them. Most of the Lennar workers do not speak English. The outside pavement, doors, windows remain filthy so installing screens has been delayed. Kitchen cabinets had off-set issue which was fixed by replacing with unfinished cabinets so now new ones need to be ...

I love my home but I feel like the purchasing experience wasn't good. The initial sales team was good and showed me the homes and features. I saw the same home listed for 25,000 to 30,000 less in the same street and I was told there was no room for negotiation. Then, once I chose the home and did the first blue tape walk, the construction team would just remove the blue tape but not fix the issues. I had to go multiple times to the house and remark with blue tape. The construction guy kept telling me they would fix the things, but next time the it was the same. Even after moving in, the same ...

Everyone I have spoken to had a bad experience with Lennar, that is a bad coincidence. "The builders try to get away with short cuts and hide things". "If you do not get your own third party inspector then your home will be put together with staples" is what I was told by an existing neighbors when viewing homes and speaking to other home owners in the neighborhood. I got a great deal on the house that is the only reason I bought it, I couldn't pass it up. The area, the builder, had nothing to do with it. I don't have anything to say about Lennar, because I wasn't worried about how they ...

Karina sales rep she was a big help and really supportive

Our sales rep Karina was super helpful and respectful she was there to answer any of our questions that we had. The title guys were also very nice and helpful the walk through goat of our home was a horrible experience being first time home buyer Scott the one who led the buyer walk was pushy punching the home himself instead of attending our needs and concerns on the home. But Karina was there to ease our minds and help us get through that obstacle to continue with the purchasing process. Big shout out to Karina.

We bought our Lennar home recently, we did the blue tape walk through yet most of what we taped off was never taken care of. We were told that the paint on our windows would be gone as well and that we would get the extra screens we were missing which didn’t happen until recently paint still there and the screens don’t fit. We have had some issues with the way our laundry closet was set up by the builders we put in a ticket and the plumber who came out flat out said he wouldn’t take care of it even though it was their company that messed it up. We also had some flooring lift up and two kids ...

Tiny Home Hollister

I absolutely love my tiny home! Of course there will always be issues because it’s a new build. Just a few things… 1. The fire alarms are way too high to reach even with a ladder. My father got up on a ladder and he could barely touch the one in the living room. 2. I love the lighting in the house however can’t reach them to replace the bulbs and apparently I have to rent a certain tool to take off the cover so I can replace the light bulb. 3. The grass, I have a long backyard. I only got 20 ft from the back of the house that is covered with grass. The rest of my backyard is bare with dirt ...

I felt like there was a lack of communication between title company and construction manager, and sales person, I was off and left wondering who was going to contact me regarding closing and final walk-through. Title company had me closing before final walk-through.

Read everything that is given to you. Ask plenty of questions before you decide to buy. The walk in initial experience was awesome. The realtor was amazing. However, the most stressful time was the closing. The process was very confusing, stressful and extremely hard to get answers when you need them.

Build quality was pretty low. House was rushed and it shows. Home was not clean well before move. Sense move in we have been having to get things fixed. The building manager has been very nice and helpful, but does not excuse the fact that the quilty of the home was not was to be expected.

We purchased a Bexley model and we love it. However, the building timeframe was riddled with delays. Constant pushes to the walkthrough and closing dates really worked up a bit of bitterness. The response of remedying issues uncovered after moving in has been decent. I think right now I'm mostly irritated at seeing trash in our walls. I'm not exaggerating. Ever run a LAN cable to get wired connections in a wall? Yeah well, when using a wired camera to guide it, we found beer and soda cans in the walls. Pretty disgusting. I'm half tempted to put in a request to get the trash out of ...

To start off, our new home consultant was great. Once it came time to do the walk, that's where things started to go down hill. First off, walls were crooked. They stated that they have a certain tolerance, but the walls were way beyond that. They did fix the issue which delayed closing. Once you close on the home, you may as well not exist. A new home comes with a 1 year end to end warranty. I am currently in a fight with them to honor this. They have finally agreed to cover some things while still giving me problems on others. They do not seem to care if you are having issues because right ...

Someone forgot to schedule our closing, we had to scramble to get it it done on November 23, 2022. When we arrived at the house later in the day, the garage and front door we’re wide open. Don’t move into your house until the to do items list has been cleared. And don’t move in if the house is filthy, at this point we had no choice. We are still struggling to get the list finished. We are also struggling with a vendor whose representative decided not to process our warranty claim on a critical appliance, offshore call center handled call, obviously misunderstood what was being said to ...

Prices are over-inflated due to the market, but the builder cheaps out along with raising prices. Little things such as lack of outdoor lighting, no appliances, cheap materials, and unclean move in made buying the home feel less accomplishing. Myself and MANY neighbors complain about the rushed, poor quality work put into the homes, especially for paying more than the homes are really worth.

The Lennar Title Company was non-responsive to my questions, emails and calls. They assigned my closing to three different agents before finally closing. I requested the closing settlement statement several times before I received it. My closing was remote with no personal interaction with a human being. I only met a Title representative when I picked up my keys. The Title Company is over worked, poorly managed and inefficient.
