We wish there was more support and clarity from the staff for various milestones. On closing we didn't get to experience anything special about our repeat purchase with Lennar.

We bought our Lennar home recently, we did the blue tape walk through yet most of what we taped off was never taken care of. We were told that the paint on our windows would be gone as well and that we would get the extra screens we were missing which didn’t happen until recently paint still there and the screens don’t fit. We have had some issues with the way our laundry closet was set up by the builders we put in a ticket and the plumber who came out flat out said he wouldn’t take care of it even though it was their company that messed it up. We also had some flooring lift up and two kids came in with gorilla glue and “fixed” the flooring… a few issues have been fixed but for the most part it’s been a joke none the less. I absolutely love my tiny home! Of course there will always be issues because it’s a new build. Just a few things… 1. The fire alarms are way too high to reach even with a ladder. My father got up on a ladder and he could barely touch the one in the living room. 2. I love the lighting in the house however can’t reach them to replace the bulbs and apparently I have to rent a certain tool to take off the cover so I can replace the light bulb. 3. The grass, I have a long backyard. I only got 20 ft from the back of the house that is covered with grass. The rest of my backyard is bare with dirt and weeds. That’s unattractive. 4. The standing shower could have used a few more feet, on all sides. 5. What’s with the virtual repair. I totally get help training the home owner to be self sufficient but if the house is under a one year warranty I expected a little bit more than virtual repair. The repairs are quick, but because of the virtual part it lengthens the repair process within days. Other than that! I love my tiny home. ... More

I felt like there was a lack of communication between title company and construction manager, and sales person, I was off and left wondering who was going to contact me regarding closing and final walk-through. Title company had me closing before final walk-through.

Decente house, need extra if you wanted cozy but overall its a good purchase

Read everything that is given to you. Ask plenty of questions before you decide to buy. The walk in initial experience was awesome. The realtor was amazing. However, the most stressful time was the closing. The process was very confusing, stressful and extremely hard to get answers when you need them.

Build quality was pretty low. House was rushed and it shows. Home was not clean well before move. Sense move in we have been having to get things fixed. The building manager has been very nice and helpful, but does not excuse the fact that the quilty of the home was not was to be expected.

We purchased a Bexley model and we love it. However, the building timeframe was riddled with delays. Constant pushes to the walkthrough and closing dates really worked up a bit of bitterness. The response of remedying issues uncovered after moving in has been decent. I think right now I'm mostly irritated at seeing trash in our walls. I'm not exaggerating. Ever run a LAN cable to get wired connections in a wall? Yeah well, when using a wired camera to guide it, we found beer and soda cans in the walls. Pretty disgusting. I'm half tempted to put in a request to get the trash out of our walls. I'm willing to bet the pile of trash we saw in the kitchen island, during an earlier walkthrough, is still in there. ... More

To start off, our new home consultant was great. Once it came time to do the walk, that's where things started to go down hill. First off, walls were crooked. They stated that they have a certain tolerance, but the walls were way beyond that. They did fix the issue which delayed closing. Once you close on the home, you may as well not exist. A new home comes with a 1 year end to end warranty. I am currently in a fight with them to honor this. They have finally agreed to cover some things while still giving me problems on others. They do not seem to care if you are having issues because right now they are selling homes left and right. In order for them to consider your issue, you have to keep pestering them until it is done. Just today, I had a warranty appointment for grout repair and they were a no show. I understand the current environment and staffing issues with the pandemic, but at least let me know you aren't going to make it because I had to arrange to be home for this. Someone forgot to schedule our closing, we had to scramble to get it it done on November 23, 2022. When we arrived at the house later in the day, the garage and front door we’re wide open. Don’t move into your house until the to do items list has been cleared. And don’t move in if the house is filthy, at this point we had no choice. We are still struggling to get the list finished. We are also struggling with a vendor whose representative decided not to process our warranty claim on a critical appliance, offshore call center handled call, obviously misunderstood what was being said to him. ... Prices are over-inflated due to the market, but the builder cheaps out along with raising prices. Little things such as lack of outdoor lighting, no appliances, cheap materials, and unclean move in made buying the home feel less accomplishing. Myself and MANY neighbors complain about the rushed, poor quality work put into the homes, especially for paying more than the homes are really worth.

The Lennar Title Company was non-responsive to my questions, emails and calls. They assigned my closing to three different agents before finally closing. I requested the closing settlement statement several times before I received it. My closing was remote with no personal interaction with a human being. I only met a Title representative when I picked up my keys. The Title Company is over worked, poorly managed and inefficient.

Definitely lots of issues closing, things to correct and fix after the purchase, some things what were done via a shortcut and we still haven’t gotten our touch up paint kit. The style and layout of the house is great and the color scheme is what we wanted. The size of the lot and location is why we went with Lennar.

This is my first home and I chose Lennar, but I will NEVER choose them again. My home buying experience was extremely poor from beginning to end. I started out by getting a realtor, and I would suggest a realtor for anyone, completed the paperwork portion and we went home shopping. I knew where I wanted to live so we went straight to Spring Grove. The Lennar representative,George, I first encountered seemed eager to help, but I quickly found out that he was not the rep for me; overbooking himself hours at a time and being really obtrusive. After several times of being late my realtor and I decided to find another Lennar rep, Orin. At first Orin was responsive and attentive, but that quickly dwindled after I signed the papers for a house. He stopped answering emails, text messages etc. Then came my walk thrus, my first walk thru I found a lot of imperfections, but that’s to be expected. Chris stated everything would be fixed and the home would be cleaned by my “welcome” walk thru so I said, “okay.” My “welcome” walk thru came, the house was not cleaned and there was still blue tape in lots of places. I can say that the construction manager, Kyle, was the only great part of this experience. He was extremely helpful, when he didn’t have to be, and I greatly appreciate that. Closing day came, the house was still not cleaned or up to par, but Kyle, construction manager, came in to do what he could and re-sent the cleaning crew. When the cleaning person, not crew, came she had only a towel. What is she supposed to do with no cleaning supplies?! Moving on, I opened utilities in my name as you are supposed to do. Quickly after that I got my security system in place and received my first two utility bills. I realized instantly that the construction crews were stealing my water after watching them do so on my cameras. I filed a complaint, which is not easy to do thru Lennar, and finally someone called me back. I was informed by Chris that Lennar does not reimburse. This I found interesting because I am having to pay for water that was NOT consumed by me being that I didn’t move in until December 23rd. Clearly Lennar does not take responsibility for their crews or third party crews. I am infuriated by this and don’t find this to be fair at all! So when asked how my experience was and would I refer someone to Lennar…. Never again! ... More

The home was mostly finished by the time I had found it and submitted the application for it. Communication was an issue, making sure corrections were done correctly..were an issue. The whole home was basically covered in blue tape. Walls had super thin coat of paint, could see under it. The caulking was so bad, and even when they came to fix it, I had to correct the painter/caulker (same guy) on how to make it look neat and correct it while he was there. He also got paint on the carpet. While I was doing the 1st walk through, he came in and started paitning everything and removing the blue tape that was there. I've also had issues with the electric in the home as well. I had a breaker that kept popping for my fridge, only to find out that they didn't wire it correctly. Now I am having another breaker pop because of the wiring. There is still glue marks all throughout the house that I am trying to get fixed. The gas line was not turned on, after asking multiple times before I signed the paperwork if it was turned on or not. The cabinets when they were installed originally, had a massive gap and was not set correctly. The interior aspect of the home was rough, along with the exterior. There were so many things that needed to get fixed. Communication with the lady coordinating everything, was rough. She was kind of rude, didn't really listen to my concerns fully. The PM and Warranty guy, were communicative and helped me the most out of everyone. I would highly recommend getting better workers that are more OCD about getting the house perfect for new homes. OH! and also. LOL uhhh. Yall need to check on this issue. - The landscape.. I came home while they were putting the sod down, and they had placed the tree right next to the transformer in the front yard. With the oak tree, the roots expand SO MUCH and that would have created a MASSIVE issue. I had them move the tree to the back yard. But on the other side of my house, they planted the tree right next to the water and gas meter lines as well, which will eventually have issues. I'm not sure why they would put tree's that close to permanent fixtures like that.. but it is incredibly dangerous and will cause issues in the future. Do better. ... More

Lennar is a company with a lot of staff for every moment of the buying process. They guide you step by step. But they push for the closing date, and YOU HAVE TO CLOSE, even when THE INSPECTION DETAILS ARE NOT FULLY ARRANGED. I bought almost 2 months ago, and they still haven't fixed MANY details of the roof, attic, water keys, etc.

Marcus, our sales rep, was great! We were a walk in and he showed us a floorplan which we really loved. He was attentive and knew exactly what we were working with and on the same page as far as pricing, lending, etc. With our approvals in place, we went into escrow. We did a home inspection, which we were basically rushed into because we were notified the Lennar Mortgage wanted to close a couple of weeks early (I'm guessing to meet end of month/quarter goals). We agreed because we just wanted to be on the same page as everyone and do what we needed to close the deal. We were promised that some of the items that weren't taken care of by closing would be taken care of such as missing cabinet shelf, concrete splatter on the walkway and driveway, an unfinished attic door, among other things. Once we received the keys, its as if they didn't care anymore. Our builder rep no longer returned any phone calls or text. I touched base with Marcus again and he was disappointed they left us hanging like that and just recommended I contact the warranty department and try to go that route. I've already done so and it has been a week since I've heard anything. My confidence level is low that they'll even get back to me. If you are thinking of buying with Lennar, I recommend holding the construction manager and building representatives accountable. Get their names and phone numbers and be proactive because they are likely too busy to contact you themselves. ... More

Was ok, i provided everything on my end. And just a bunch of waiting for myself, some questions were not really resolved just put on hold. I've been trying to contact my loan officer and others for current questions regarding final inspections but no one responses, or call backs.

It was an average experience the whole way through. Throughout the process plan to experience slow response time to questions you may have and since there are several people working with you it will take longer to find the right person to actually the question. Problems due get fixed and questions will get answered it just takes longer than expected. Interior and finishes are fair. You can tell some install and items were rushed and quality is not the best. Overall it is good price for the size of home.

Heavily implied sod and trees would be delayed until I was able to arrive at the home. Told it would be documented. Neither happened and there was no follow up on the matter. Trees were replaced but sod left to me, which will cost me $8k out of pocket to replace. Multiple breakers keep popping and have to keep submitting work orders. Garbage disposal never worked. Dishwasher stopped working. Wasn't told there wouldn't be window screens. Multiple areas still need touch up paint. Multiple areas weren't cleaned from paint droplets. Overall feel I was taken advantage of and not properly assisted throughout the process for my first ever hone purchase. Very disappointed in Lennar. ... More

Lennar sales person is very nice and helpful, other workers don’t trust , When you buy a house from them before closing need to be very careful check everything if they don’t fix them you have to fix them on your own. Like my gate to backyard from day one we bought the house cannot keep closing have to use a zip tie to zip the gate not very professional job , lay dead grass and blamed you not watering it ,

I feel we got good value for what we paid, workmanship and material was sub par compared to other local builders.

Make sure you do your walk-thru!
