The absolutely lack of pride in work.
- Zacquery M.

The workmanship in our home is that of random people doing random tasks they are not competent in. So many little things all over the home. The floors have gaps in some slats and non in the other. The trim work could have been done better by my 8 year old son and he has absolutely no carpentry skills. The answer to every and all mistakes was smearing caulking all over the home. Our back yard constantly floods and holds water from the rain and or neighbors sprinklers. The lack of proper runoff and drainage is ridiculous. If I could rate zero stars I would especially on workmanship and quality.
Lennar responded:
Hello Zacquery, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We want to apologize for the long list of items un-addressed throughout your home. We are disappointed to hear of the lack of quality in the finishes and carpentry. We have had problems after problems and then are never contacted again. And when we make contact again we are told they will be there to fix something soon and then they don’t fix it. The few things they have “fixed” are then shortly after broken again. I absolutely do not recommend.

Never meet sales associate, never had the immensities explain to me, was never told how to acquire the amenities. now at the closing the notary spent more time with me than Lennar’sl closing agent. The notary had no answers for any of my questions. When lennar’s closing agent finally arrived she could not answer questions that I had , probably into a bigger hurry to go to lunch. Now the house well prepared but lacked attention to the small details therefore I rate the house a 3.5 out a 5

Keys didn’t work to my new home. Went to pick up keys no one was there. They were at a party very poor communication. My son and I had to wait 3 hours for tech to make us new keys. Still waiting to see if you all are going to pay land taxes.

Terrible experience, first time home buyer. Our realtor was shocked and surprised, a lot of first for her. Weeks with out any info or communication, to then have these abrupt request. This and this needed within 48 hours. Every step of the way was a hassle and a pain. Even closing was a hassle. Home is great but the buying process was horrible. To the point that gave me second thoughts of purchasing.
Lennar responded:
Good afternoon Armando and thank you for sharing your experience. We apologize for the failed communication we had with you during the purchasing process. I understand that this is not the experience you expected. We are glad to know you are happy with your home. I knew coming into this that buying a house can be stressful but it definitely could be better with the right help. When i went to see the house Ana was good, however the second i was moved to lennar mortgage the nightmare began, the loan officer Wesley he eas good at the beginning, then there was a LOT of miscommunication, changes of information and to make it worse to be honest i felt i was gaslighted towards the end, putting me in a position where i had no choice but to buy. The person that was supposed to contact me and introduce herself before closing I NEVER received such call, ...

The process of buying the home was not a smooth purchase at all. Our Lennar rep put us in a bind even though we had brought up the issues in advance. The construction crew left a mess on the exterior so I was having to pick up paneling boards and other materials that were left behind. I wear braces on both legs so struggled to bend over to pick up heavy paneling. They did not level out the top soil before putting the sod down and we had asked for this. We were told a cleaning crew would clean the interior but on the day we finally got our keys, the house was still dirty. Paint and glue stains ...

Good afternoon. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear you had to pick up after the construction crew and the difficulties that this caused. I have shared your review with the customer care team. We hope that moving forward we can offer you a better Homeowner experience. Sincerely, Lennar Corporate Customer Care

Avoid this place like the plague. The only smooth thing about the buying process was dealing with the finance/mortage department (the people who take your money. Go figure.) It is also usually a dump as they don’t make the contractors clean up after themselves. It was pretty bad before enough residents complained to force their hand. This developer has been a headache from the start. I started the initial paperwork on Thursday 01/18/24 around roughly 9pm. My walkthrough was then scheduled for Friday 01/26. I contacted a 3rd party inspector on 01/20 to complete an inspection on 1/26 a few ...
Lennar responded:
Hi Ky, we are sorry about the frustrations that you have experienced with the inspections and the walkthroughs. We are also sorry about the lack of sod in your home 7 week post close. We were really excited to buy this home for our family. This is our first home that we have ever bought. The process of applying for a loan was easy, where things began to fall apart is the lack of communication between all the different areas of the company. I felt like I was doing all the leg work. And to make matters worse, the closing of our house was moved 7 times. Sometimes we knew about it a week in advance and the last few times it was literally the day before we were to close. We moved into our home with not having a final green inspection done, (it had been done, but something ...

When I came to Lennar I was looking for the home of my dreams a second home and I got stuck in a home that according to the Lennar seller was just an option and he force me to start the application and during the process he was going to help me to get in to the home I was looking, of course that never happened the guy really didn’t care . Due to my circumstances I accept to keep the home ,during home inspection I realize the cheap material that was used for the construction I’m afraid about a bad wind or rain I don’t think it will resist a storm . Terrible overall experience. The salesman, salesman’s supervisor, concierge, Construction Foreman all were horrible. The lack of follow through and returning calls was unacceptable. The title company returned half of my calls until I closed then stopped returning my calls. Ken, who did the warranty walk through and sign off was great. I’m a seasoned investor and not a first time home buyer which is what they are used to dealing with. They prey on the ignorance of the buyer and don’t put the buyer first.

I was really excited to buy my first ever home but after the experience I’ve had with LENNAR I would have chosen differently. The experience I had with the mortgage team started off very rough and I experienced very poor communication and errors with the loan officer. I wanted to get a new home expecting that I would not have many issues however since moving in, that’s all I’ve had. Not to mention the cleanliness of the home upon move in was just unacceptable. I have spent days on my hands and knees scrubbing floors clean and covering many holes where caulking was missing to avoid pests. I ...

Being a first time home buyer, I wasn’t familiar with the process of purchasing a home. The information required was understandable since it’s a large purchase however it was time consuming and extremely detailed. Once that was complete I thought the worst part is over. I was wrong. One week prior to signing my papers I was told it needed to be extended, I understood. The second part, I was told that the home I was purchasing (which was completed except for minor details) was inspected and it was valued at about 13K more that I was paying. I was told I needed to pay that difference. At this ...

Kept being told this would be one of our happiest moments, had many issues and concerns still haven’t been addressed and have moved in still waiting to get some resolution. Luv my home but overall experience was horrible and still not able to enjoy our home. Very poor communication at the very beginning, still lack of her and now. Felt so rushed and pushed and thrown to the side. Hope no one else had to or will have to experience what we did. My realtor was the only one I felt that was really here helping and supporting us. Neighborhood is wonderful so far.. wouldn’t change anything

The Lennar purchasing experience is a never ending resubmitting of paperwork, seemed like on a daily basis. The interfacing with the utility providers appeared to have never happened. Delays on water/sewer, because the proper forms weren't filed, the CATV took a month to get installed. Electricity was the only one not causing a problem, because they already had it turned on. Even after the sale, they kept contacting us for forms they lost somehow. Professional is not in their vocabulary. The sod in the yard is the worst job I've ever seen. Careful not to injure yourself trying to walk across ...

Lennar messed up on the grass installation date that led to ALL the grass dying that Lennar had installed . I went by my verbal conversation with Kyle because I trusted him. When things went wrong he and the managers either went mute or told me to show something in written otherwise they can’t do anything. My total expenditure for this goof up is $3.5k!! Shane started telling me all about when the grass needs to be installed that Kyle or no one else mentioned when they should have. On top of that he said he won’t talk to the landscape company to see if they can give me the builder rate ...
