We were really excited to buy this home for our family. This is our first home that we have ever bought. The process of applying for a loan was easy, where things began to fall apart is the lack of communication between all the different areas of the company. I felt like I was doing all the leg work. And to make matters worse, the closing of our house was moved 7 times. Sometimes we knew about it a week in advance and the last few times it was literally the day before we were to close. We moved into our home with not having a final green inspection done, (it had been done, but something ...

When I came to Lennar I was looking for the home of my dreams a second home and I got stuck in a home that according to the Lennar seller was just an option and he force me to start the application and during the process he was going to help me to get in to the home I was looking, of course that never happened the guy really didn’t care . Due to my circumstances I accept to keep the home ,during home inspection I realize the cheap material that was used for the construction I’m afraid about a bad wind or rain I don’t think it will resist a storm . The warranty is only valid for a short ...

Terrible overall experience. The salesman, salesman’s supervisor, concierge, Construction Foreman all were horrible. The lack of follow through and returning calls was unacceptable. The title company returned half of my calls until I closed then stopped returning my calls. Ken, who did the warranty walk through and sign off was great. I’m a seasoned investor and not a first time home buyer which is what they are used to dealing with. They prey on the ignorance of the buyer and don’t put the buyer first.

I was really excited to buy my first ever home but after the experience I’ve had with LENNAR I would have chosen differently. The experience I had with the mortgage team started off very rough and I experienced very poor communication and errors with the loan officer. I wanted to get a new home expecting that I would not have many issues however since moving in, that’s all I’ve had. Not to mention the cleanliness of the home upon move in was just unacceptable. I have spent days on my hands and knees scrubbing floors clean and covering many holes where caulking was missing to avoid pests. I ...

Being a first time home buyer, I wasn’t familiar with the process of purchasing a home. The information required was understandable since it’s a large purchase however it was time consuming and extremely detailed. Once that was complete I thought the worst part is over. I was wrong. One week prior to signing my papers I was told it needed to be extended, I understood. The second part, I was told that the home I was purchasing (which was completed except for minor details) was inspected and it was valued at about 13K more that I was paying. I was told I needed to pay that difference. At this ...

Kept being told this would be one of our happiest moments, had many issues and concerns still haven’t been addressed and have moved in still waiting to get some resolution. Luv my home but overall experience was horrible and still not able to enjoy our home. Very poor communication at the very beginning, still lack of her and now. Felt so rushed and pushed and thrown to the side. Hope no one else had to or will have to experience what we did. My realtor was the only one I felt that was really here helping and supporting us. Neighborhood is wonderful so far.. wouldn’t change anything

The Lennar purchasing experience is a never ending resubmitting of paperwork, seemed like on a daily basis. The interfacing with the utility providers appeared to have never happened. Delays on water/sewer, because the proper forms weren't filed, the CATV took a month to get installed. Electricity was the only one not causing a problem, because they already had it turned on. Even after the sale, they kept contacting us for forms they lost somehow. Professional is not in their vocabulary. The sod in the yard is the worst job I've ever seen. Careful not to injure yourself trying to walk across ...

Lennar messed up on the grass installation date that led to ALL the grass dying that Lennar had installed . I went by my verbal conversation with Kyle because I trusted him. When things went wrong he and the managers either went mute or told me to show something in written otherwise they can’t do anything. My total expenditure for this goof up is $3.5k!! Shane started telling me all about when the grass needs to be installed that Kyle or no one else mentioned when they should have. On top of that he said he won’t talk to the landscape company to see if they can give me the builder rate ...

They don’t do anything over the bare minimum… unless you want to pay an arm and a leg. Avoid Lennar, Lennar Mortgage, and Lennar Title they’re all equally as bad and have horrendous customer service.

1. We expected Lennar would install top soil and follow SAWS guidelines when planting it, as Paul Canyon is served by SAWS. Instead, in less than 48 hours, our grass died although we watered it following SAWS rules. 2. Lennar sales representative sold us the house assuring us that the sod would be planted to the fence and later we found out that was not the case. She either misinformed us or plainly lied.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are sorry to hear we did not meet your expectations regarding the sod. Zero communication. Lack of care in blue tape walkthroughs, unprofessional staff (ESPECIALLY at the Lennar regional level), shoddy craftsmanship. I can especially observe this watching all of the other houses get built around me in Guadalupe Heights in Seguin. Trash getting blown all around, builders trying to steal packages off my front porch, dirt and debris in the road. I will always tell people to avoid Lennar at all costs. Cutting corners should be Lennar’s slogan.

Lennar responded:
Hi, thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are sorry to hear about the issues you have experienced with your own home, as well as the ongoing construction in Guadalupe Heights. The Customer Care team will follow-up with the local leadership to make them aware of these concerns.

Sales person was great and responsive. Quality of work was poor, responsiveness from construction team was poor. After closing for over 6 weeks we have not had sod on our yard. We financed through Lennar and they later sold the loan to a different company. Shortly after the loan was sold, my wife and I both experienced identity theft, where we both had letters stating that credit cards were applied for by us that we were not aware of. We are very careful with not sharing private information and have not applied for credit cards in over 5 years. Some credit cards were approved and had ...

The price of the home doesn’t reflect the low level quality of materials and craftsmanship in the home. The home has a beautiful face on it but basic everything else from the cheap doors, no locks on the door knob, the basic level stove and microwave, carpet padding, no screens for the windows and the most horrific caulking and painting of the base boards. I reached out to inquire about upgrading the low level things and I was told that it violates the warranty!?!?. You don’t know all of these things until you get in the house and live in it. Also what happened to everything is BIG in TX??? ...

almost 3 months behind schedule even though all supplies were here, would tell us 2 more weeks so we checked everyday, no one was working on house. When we were told a home inspection which we were paying for could be done work in house was not finished you didn't even have a water meter here. One wall had no electricity at all, we were told it was repaired and it wasn't. So many things not taken care of from final walk thru and house was not cleaned. The construction manger was/has been great. The title department was the worst!!! I have NEVER had such a horrible experienced. It’s been 4 months since my closing and last month I was looking for final/completed/signed documents in the portal (that you push so much), to find out they were not there. I had to call title to get them. Defeats the purpose of your so called portal. You have been a failure in almost every aspect of the experience. I say almost only because of Shane the construction manager.
