Lennar cuts corners and the quality of work is low.

Don't go with Lennar. They have some great people working there, but the company is run poorly. Someone at the top needs to be fired.

We exptected better workmanship and quality from Lennar but ran in to so many issues and obstacles. Poor Construction Manager did not fiish up some of the work on time and we even extended our move in date to help accomodate their delays.

Very Disappointing!

I am overall so disappointed in my new home and the experience that I had purchasing that, six months in, I am considering selling. I have already had leaks around the toilet because the pedestal sat too high - no one bothered to fix it before I moved in. They had to remove the toilet and the flooring, sand down the large concrete bump in the foundation and replace the flooring and toilet - an easy fix if you do it right the first time. I was without full use of my master bath for about 3 weeks while this was being done. After 3 "final" walk throughs almost none of the items we listed were ...

Lennar - For +200k the least they could do is add window blinds.

For +200k the least they could do is add window blinds. Water softener as well but mainly window blinds. Also most homes have two sided sinks to wash and rinse. Nor just one. We still haven't had our AC aligned as promised. Workers getting attitudes with one another about who's in charge. So it took a while to get a part of our home repaired and as stated, AC still doesn't blow to entire part of the house. Ants the first night. Everyone got bit. So many we had to get a hotel and hire someone to come spray. Information giving out EVERYONE. Salea people showing up even at night.

Lennar responded:
Hi Andraecus, thank you for sharing your review. We want to apologize for any disappointment you have with the finishes in your new home. Additionally, we are very disappointed to hear about you needing to spend time in a hotel so early in your home ownership. If you have any items that still need to be addressed, we can be reached at corporatecustomercare@lennar.com for follow-up. - Lennar Customer Care

Kudos to Christopher Buentello who kept us informed as to the progress on the home and assisted us with communicating with mortgage team when they did not respond.

The team I worked with included people in San Antonio and in Austin. The only person that did their job on time and checked on us to make sure everything was ok was Thomas G. Everyone else didn’t know how or where to do their job correct. Starting off with the loan advisor who always had to ask a manager to do anything, then he never sent us our paper work for closing so when it was time to close and we were almost keys in hand that were like we need more money from y’all! Nope that’s not what this contract says, so they went and made a new one and had us waiting there! It was horrible! Then ...

Love the layout of the house, communication between site manager and Mortgage was horrible experience. The model home and your home should be exactly the same. Everything that is included is not included. The Wi-Fi throughout the house was never installed and was told it was not available anymore but on the website it’s included also in the model homes signs inside the house it says it’s included. Five months into the house we are still having major problems.

The communication throughout this whole process has been terrible. The building of the home was a total rush job. The NHO was a disaster. 2 more walkthroughs were needed to make sure all the repairs and touchups were done. I will never work with Lennar again

I was excited about having an all-in-one home buying process. The financing side was easy, and the loan officers were helpful and responsive. The only issue I experienced during financing was the third-party verification process they would call and sometimes keep me on hold for hours while confirming information. It wasn’t ideal, but it was manageable. Unfortunately, my experience with the construction team and the overall quality of construction was much less positive. The construction manager repeatedly made excuses for repairs that were not completed on time. The paint work throughout ...

This home buying experience was frustrating from start to finish. The build quality did not match the price. Multiple issues showed up that should have been caught before closing. Finishes felt rushed and inconsistent. Communication was weak. Getting updates or answers took repeated follow-ups. Problems were acknowledged but moved slowly, if at all. Some items were marked complete without being properly fixed. Value for the price was disappointing. You pay a premium but still end up chasing basic corrections. If you expect strong attention to detail and prompt service after signing, you’ll ...

There is little attention to detail which leaves the final product looking shabby. Many issues that were identified during the walkthrough were never addressed despite several reminders. Electrical issues were not corrected - let's see what happens when I submit a warranty claim. To be fair, this is my second Lennar house, and the first purchase was a lot smoother although attention to detail was not there either.
