Nice model homes but issues when buying

Model home of course will always look perfect to bring in buyers but once you get your home they will avoid issues with house , I was anxious n wanted in ASAP but counter is still bothering me and I don’t think all house are built that way but like I said , I wanted to move in already and tired of waiting . Don’t rush and make sure everything is just as model home was , perfect

Terrible Mortgage staff especially for being a first time buyer, lost me thousands of dollars for not locking me in when they were supposed to. Almost no communication, they really don’t care about you, you are just another number. Warranty People will tell you they will fix things and you have warranty but they don’t tell you what voids it and they will do whatever it takes to not fix anything… find gray lines, loops, etc. Very dishonest. Will tell you they will take care of something to your face and then never hear back from them again.

The beginning of the process started fine, the sales department knows how to pull emotional strings. Lennar’s tag line of “everything’s included” is only true for luxury homes. Every room in the home I purchased has issues with quality and poor installation, just barely to squeeze by the building code. Sod was laid over garbage in the yard and patched together with a variety of grasses. All in all, I paid for a roof and walls. There were no quality checks during construction. I did the walkthrough inspection in Nov. 2020 with issues of back door. I closed Jan 2021 and here I am end of May 2021 and back door STILL is not fixed by now needs to be replaced because of they’re 3 trips out they STILL cannot do right by me. The new homeowner of a NEW HOME. This has put a thorn in my home buying experience with Lennar

We have had problems after problems and then are never contacted again. And when we make contact again we are told they will be there to fix something soon and then they don’t fix it. The few things they have “fixed” are then shortly after broken again. I absolutely do not recommend.

Between getting tossed around between loan people, the lack of communication, being stood up on inspection day, poor workmanship, not guaranteeing or covering the inferior products that they install, not installing basics like window screens, microwaves, a full yard of sod, sprinklers, more than 1 outside tap, or garage door openers, I wish I didn't buy Lennar. I feel like I paid full price for half of a house and the process was torture. So unhappy!

I am not sure who and what kind of backwards hiring is happening here, but these are the most unhelpful, most pushy, group of people I have ever dealt with. They are lucky my Home Concierge and loan officer were kind because the entire team outside of them is unorganized and unprofessional. All the way up until closing no one could tell me how much money I had to bring to the signing, no one could find my keys after they figured out the money situation, and I am still having questions and NO ONE from Lennar wants to help they hang up right after I ask a question. Never meet sales associate, never had the immensities explain to me, was never told how to acquire the amenities. now at the closing the notary spent more time with me than Lennar’sl closing agent. The notary had no answers for any of my questions. When lennar’s closing agent finally arrived she could not answer questions that I had , probably into a bigger hurry to go to lunch. Now the house well prepared but lacked attention to the small details therefore I rate the house a 3.5 out a 5

While the home design itself looked promising, the customer experience and build quality left much to be desired. Horrible purchase. There was nothing good to discuss in terms of me closing on my new home. The only good thing to talk about was that the warranty people were great at responding to issues because they had to see me many times in the first month of purchase. On the other hand, for my blue tape inspection, they simply removed the blue tape off the wall and did not paint over where I asked them too. I got sold a pretty affordable home. I had to put in a warranty claim to fix the floors and it’s been almost two months as of writing this review and it’s still not done. I’ve attempted to get a hold of people from Lennar all the way up to the CEO and have had little to no communication. They closed the warranty ticket over a month ago while I’m still waiting on a flooring company to come and rip out all the LVP flooring and replace it. How a gas leak, plumbing issues (shower not draining) electrical issues got past “inspection” is beyond me! Simple things as installing doors properly for the safety of their home buyers is clearly not a value no integrity behind their name! I must of dealt with 8 different employees when I had a real estate agent. I did all the work of the agent. Talking to 8 different people is not only confusing it was hard to hold anyone accountable for the mistakes.

The process of buying the home was not a smooth purchase at all. Our Lennar rep put us in a bind even though we had brought up the issues in advance. The construction crew left a mess on the exterior so I was having to pick up paneling boards and other materials that were left behind. I wear braces on both legs so struggled to bend over to pick up heavy paneling. They did not level out the top soil before putting the sod down and we had asked for this. 1. We expected Lennar would install top soil and follow SAWS guidelines when planting it, as Paul Canyon is served by SAWS. Instead, in less than 48 hours, our grass died although we watered it following SAWS rules. 2. Lennar sales representative sold us the house assuring us that the sod would be planted to the fence and later we found out that was not the case. She either misinformed us or plainly lied.
