poor management

The Lennar purchasing experience is a never ending resubmitting of paperwork, seemed like on a daily basis. The interfacing with the utility providers appeared to have never happened. Delays on water/sewer, because the proper forms weren't filed, the CATV took a month to get installed. Electricity was the only one not causing a problem, because they already had it turned on. Even after the sale, they kept contacting us for forms they lost somehow. Professional is not in their vocabulary. The sod in the yard is the worst job I've ever seen. Careful not to injure yourself trying to walk across ...

Really bad attitude of the construction manager, area manager and the VP of construction

Lennar messed up on the grass installation date that led to ALL the grass dying that Lennar had installed . I went by my verbal conversation with Kyle because I trusted him. When things went wrong he and the managers either went mute or told me to show something in written otherwise they can’t do anything. My total expenditure for this goof up is $3.5k!! Shane started telling me all about when the grass needs to be installed that Kyle or no one else mentioned when they should have. On top of that he said he won’t talk to the landscape company to see if they can give me the builder rate ...

They don’t do anything over the bare minimum… unless you want to pay an arm and a leg. Avoid Lennar, Lennar Mortgage, and Lennar Title they’re all equally as bad and have horrendous customer service.

Horrible purchase. There was nothing good to discuss in terms of me closing on my new home. The only good thing to talk about was that the warranty people were great at responding to issues because they had to see me many times in the first month of purchase. On the other hand, for my blue tape inspection, they simply removed the blue tape off the wall and did not paint over where I asked them too. Also, the fridge that I negotiated to be apart of my closing deal did not have the water line installed correctly, which I thank the warranty people for fixing quickly. Another issue was that ...

How a gas leak, plumbing issues (shower not draining) electrical issues got past “inspection” is beyond me! Simple things as installing doors properly for the safety of their home buyers is clearly not a value no integrity behind their name! I’ve been here 1 month and have yet to actually feel comfortable in this home! DONT BUY IF YOU DO HIRE AND PAY FOR YOUR OWN INSPECTION!!!

I must of dealt with 8 different employees when I had a real estate agent. I did all the work of the agent. Talking to 8 different people is not only confusing it was hard to hold anyone accountable for the mistakes.

1. We expected Lennar would install top soil and follow SAWS guidelines when planting it, as Paul Canyon is served by SAWS. Instead, in less than 48 hours, our grass died although we watered it following SAWS rules. 2. Lennar sales representative sold us the house assuring us that the sod would be planted to the fence and later we found out that was not the case. She either misinformed us or plainly lied.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are sorry to hear we did not meet your expectations regarding the sod. If there are any warrantable issues or questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to your local customer care team by submitting an online request through your Lennar Account. Zero communication. Lack of care in blue tape walkthroughs, unprofessional staff (ESPECIALLY at the Lennar regional level), shoddy craftsmanship. I can especially observe this watching all of the other houses get built around me in Guadalupe Heights in Seguin. Trash getting blown all around, builders trying to steal packages off my front porch, dirt and debris in the road. I will always tell people to avoid Lennar at all costs. Cutting corners should be Lennar’s slogan.

Lennar responded:
Hi, thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are sorry to hear about the issues you have experienced with your own home, as well as the ongoing construction in Guadalupe Heights. The Customer Care team will follow-up with the local leadership to make them aware of these concerns.

Sales person was great and responsive. Quality of work was poor, responsiveness from construction team was poor. After closing for over 6 weeks we have not had sod on our yard. We financed through Lennar and they later sold the loan to a different company. Shortly after the loan was sold, my wife and I both experienced identity theft, where we both had letters stating that credit cards were applied for by us that we were not aware of. We are very careful with not sharing private information and have not applied for credit cards in over 5 years. Some credit cards were approved and had ...

The price of the home doesn’t reflect the low level quality of materials and craftsmanship in the home. The home has a beautiful face on it but basic everything else from the cheap doors, no locks on the door knob, the basic level stove and microwave, carpet padding, no screens for the windows and the most horrific caulking and painting of the base boards. I reached out to inquire about upgrading the low level things and I was told that it violates the warranty!?!?. You don’t know all of these things until you get in the house and live in it. Also what happened to everything is BIG in TX??? ...

almost 3 months behind schedule even though all supplies were here, would tell us 2 more weeks so we checked everyday, no one was working on house. When we were told a home inspection which we were paying for could be done work in house was not finished you didn't even have a water meter here. One wall had no electricity at all, we were told it was repaired and it wasn't. So many things not taken care of from final walk thru and house was not cleaned. Not sure what ever happened to customer satisfaction but Lennar has none. Neighbors on both side's had same sort of issues. Nice homes ...

The construction manger was/has been great. The title department was the worst!!! I have NEVER had such a horrible experienced. It’s been 4 months since my closing and last month I was looking for final/completed/signed documents in the portal (that you push so much), to find out they were not there. I had to call title to get them. Defeats the purpose of your so called portal. You have been a failure in almost every aspect of the experience. I say almost only because of Shane the construction manager.

I have been around home building my entire life and have never seen a house get built with such lack of care. There were so many things that stood out to show that one the contractor is either way to rushed. Or two they just don’t care. Walls with very little or no paint. Tile that didn’t get grouted in places. Brick work that looked like a little kid did it. List goes on and on. This is just the builder side of things. I have plenty of complaints for the entire company.

This review is not in regards to the location, the neighborhood, the local schools, etc... It is strictly about Lennar. I purchased a home from Lennar at the end of May 2019. My experience with Lennar before and after purchasing the home has been terrible. This company lacks communication, consistency, and quality, among other things. When we agreed to purchase the home that we liked, the closing date was originally set for early June 19. Lennar contacted us and said that the closing date could be moved up to mid-May. We agreed to that closing date. When that date finally came around, I ...
