My experience wasn't good. This was my second home that I purchased and the construction side of it was a mess. The contract workers gave this builder a bad name. The contract workers did a poor job and made a lot of mistakes. On the financial side that was excellent and easy.

I was provided a list of inclusions that were inaccurate, several items were not included. I am confused by the everything included tagline because I see that everything is only included if you are an investor. Ironically the items I was told you can’t get were included on the investor homes. Also, I have had two warranty requests and although I was told everything would be repaired only a couple things have been with no word on the other items. It appears employee turnover is part of the problem.

Terrible home inspection and after home purchase experience. Lennar construction managers are all promise non work. They flat out lie. Terrible home ownership. Lennar’s attitude is don’t care, it’s not my home, it’s your home now and your problem

We've been in our new home for about 6 wks now. It's a nice home, but the process was riddled with slip-ups, pushbacks, and several missed deadlines that caused much anxiety, frustration, and cost a few extra thousand dollars that was not in the budget. The sad part is...I can't even say it was worth all we went through. Firstly, I do NOT recommend Lennar Mortgage; secure your funding elsewhere if you can. They made ridiculously simple mistakes and oversights that pushed out our closing (after we were SPECIFICALLY told this wouldn't be the case). Poor response communication, unless they needed something and then you were hounded for it. Secondly (and probably the most disappointing) is the poor workmanship. It doesn't matter how good the materials are going in if there's no attention to detail. Door handles are already loose, the 'luxury' vinyl flooring has gaps and is beginning to come up in some places, bowed walls and doorways that look like you're in a funhouse. We won't even start on the paint. This is NOT what you'd expect from a builder who's been in this business as long as Lennar has, nor is the quality and craftsmanship is what you'd expect in a 350K home...not by a longshot. Finally, the lack of ownership or concessions for issues encountered in the process. At some point builders need to stop blaming the pandemic for their shortcomings. But that was a very common refrain from everyone at Lennar. I can understand a delay in materials or inspections, but you don't get a pass for shoddy work or rushing at the last minute to get it done. I'm sure we'll continue to discover things as we continue to unpack and settle in. I'm not looking forward to what lies ahead. If I had to do it all over again I would not choose Lennar as my builder. We were in a tight spot and on a deadline to find housing, and we thought we were getting a good deal. But the buyer's remorse is VERY real. I feel somewhat lucky that it wasn't the nightmare some other builders put their clients through, but it's been a very opportunistic experience. To their credit, most of the people in the process were great, very likable. But at the end of the day you're buying a house, not a relationship with them. My one piece of advice if you choose them as your builder: Make sure you're visiting the build site regularly and communicating things you see as an issue to the site managers. Very professional and satisfied with our lennar home thank you

If buyin the home traditionally the company is good. However, we bought our home from out of state. The title company is horrible and does not do their job until it’s either very close or past due. I would rate them 0 out 5. Nothing got done with them unless I drove 1200 miles and walked into their office. The people who sell the home are great but once the home is purchased they aren’t very interested in helping with questions. The financial team is great. They will ask for everything in a timely manner and always do their best to answer the questions or point you in the right direction. The maintenance team for warranty is overall not the best. For our property the main maintenance guy does try but is overwhelmed with lack of communication from Lennar. Every time someone comes out to fix things in the home they come at very odd hours and never seem to know why they are there or have attitudes of how they have to fix the home. We were encouraged to close on the home earlier than expected, by the title and final inspection. Make sure you take pictures of everything and make sure it all gets into the report. They will tell you that don’t worry about it, it’s small we can fix that very fast and indeed won’t fix it. Our home has a lot of minor cosmetics but it’s been a hassle to get them fixed once the home was purchased because we trusted Lennar but don’t make that mistake. The people at Lennar are great! And for the most part the home is good. But some of the workmanship and quality of materials is quite cheap. The paint especially.

If you want to purchase a brand new house with little attention to detail/quality of workmanship, this is the place for you!

I should’ve walked away and lost the 750 .00

The house was very dirty on move in. Floors, inside and outside of all cabinets and carpets were very dirty. Caulking at baseboards was very sloppy throughout house. It looks terrible. Management of contractors was poor which led to long delays due to failed inspections of power and gas connections into house. I have had many new homes. This was the worst exoerience on a home build

Don't go with Lennar. They have some great people working there, but the company is run poorly. Someone at the top needs to be fired.

Quality of workmanship is barely passable

We purchased a Bexley model and we love it. However, the building timeframe was riddled with delays. Constant pushes to the walkthrough and closing dates really worked up a bit of bitterness. The response of remedying issues uncovered after moving in has been decent. I think right now I'm mostly irritated at seeing trash in our walls. I'm not exaggerating. Ever run a LAN cable to get wired connections in a wall? Yeah well, when using a wired camera to guide it, we found beer and soda cans in the walls. Pretty disgusting. I'm half tempted to put in a request to get the trash out of our walls. I'm willing to bet the pile of trash we saw in the kitchen island, during an earlier walkthrough, is still in there. ... More

Not a positive experience. Would not recommend Lennar to family and friends based on my bad experience. Note that every neighbor I’ve talk to all expressed the same bad experience.

If at all possible stay away from a Lennar home! Very very very poor quality work, not responsive, and misleading, And if you still decide to buy from Lennar…. you best make sure you hire your own inspector!

Representatives are very responsive for the most part. Easy for us to drop by and check on house during process. Stuff does get hidden or rushed during build. Pieces of 2x4 split or broken thatbgot covered or up or just tossed away in the attic. Vinyl flooring lifting and glue left everywhere. Glue left on walls. Caulking is very poor on countertops. Exterior has many small issues as well. Dinged siding, bent trim. Paint on shingles. Door ways have air gaps. The worst so far is the yard work. The grading was not dont correctly. My fromt yard sunk by over 1 foot and split after rain. Yard is pulling away from the home foundation. The people of lennar are very nice. The contractors on the other hand are not putting quality onto their work. They rush everything they do. ... More

My mom purchased this house because she wanted something brand new, not old and in need of work. The house is nothing fancy, but solid.

i liked the design and layout of the house also the higher ceilings it gives a roomy felling

These are NOT homes!!!!!! They are just houses built by contractors that have no pride in workmanship! Would not recommend this builder.

They are helpful and they follow up with you

Starts with sales and the construction Foreman with the walk through team all have followed through to insure our new house was built well and addressed corrected any issues . Very responsive and followed up on repairs with our warranty. They've made it simple and convenient. We are impressed.

To start off, our new home consultant was great. Once it came time to do the walk, that's where things started to go down hill. First off, walls were crooked. They stated that they have a certain tolerance, but the walls were way beyond that. They did fix the issue which delayed closing. Once you close on the home, you may as well not exist. A new home comes with a 1 year end to end warranty. I am currently in a fight with them to honor this. They have finally agreed to cover some things while still giving me problems on others. They do not seem to care if you are having issues because right now they are selling homes left and right. In order for them to consider your issue, you have to keep pestering them until it is done. Just today, I had a warranty appointment for grout repair and they were a no show. I understand the current environment and staffing issues with the pandemic, but at least let me know you aren't going to make it because I had to arrange to be home for this. In the end, it's no different than buying a car. They are all about customer service until they have your money. ... More
