Very Disappointing!

I am overall so disappointed in my new home and the experience that I had purchasing that, six months in, I am considering selling. I have already had leaks around the toilet because the pedestal sat too high - no one bothered to fix it before I moved in. They had to remove the toilet and the flooring, sand down the large concrete bump in the foundation and replace the flooring and toilet - an easy fix if you do it right the first time. I was without full use of my master bath for about 3 weeks while this was being done. After 3 "final" walk throughs almost none of the items we listed were ...

Builders warranty sucks because basically there is no warranty on the sod they laid down I put in a work order and it took 2 1/2 months of me hounding my warranty guy and he even came out and looked and agreed with me that they screwed up but his boss was a jerk and won’t pay to have it fixed

The absolutely lack of pride in work.

  • Zacquery M.

The workmanship in our home is that of random people doing random tasks they are not competent in. So many little things all over the home. The floors have gaps in some slats and non in the other. The trim work could have been done better by my 8 year old son and he has absolutely no carpentry skills. The answer to every and all mistakes was smearing caulking all over the home. Our back yard constantly floods and holds water from the rain and or neighbors sprinklers. The lack of proper runoff and drainage is ridiculous. If I could rate zero stars I would especially on workmanship and quality.

Lennar responded:
Hello Zacquery, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We want to apologize for the long list of items un-addressed throughout your home. We are disappointed to hear of the lack of quality in the finishes and carpentry. We've had many warranties since moving in and it seems that the home was rushed for moving date, which most areas marked weren't even done on moving day. Communication was never there since the beginning from start to finish. The obly good thing about the process was the guy who helped from Customer Care team.

The Lennar purchasing experience is a never ending resubmitting of paperwork, seemed like on a daily basis. The interfacing with the utility providers appeared to have never happened. Delays on water/sewer, because the proper forms weren't filed, the CATV took a month to get installed. Electricity was the only one not causing a problem, because they already had it turned on. Even after the sale, they kept contacting us for forms they lost somehow. Professional is not in their vocabulary. The sod in the yard is the worst job I've ever seen. Careful not to injure yourself trying to walk across ...

What stood out most about my experience is how all Lennar employees are willing to lie to absolve themselves from any responsibility.

BUYER BEWARE!! The Lennar Home staff are liars and will tell you anything they think you need to hear to get you to buy the home. Beginning with sales staff, who sold me a home that didn't have the appropriate finishes and avoids me when I try to call. Next is the closing staff who set a closing date without communicating to the builders, so I had to go to closing twice. Finally the builder who lied about the trees in the backyard and doesn't honor any warranty items. The builder makes excuses and points the finger at other areas of the business and blames them for the problem. The customer ...

Lennar - For +200k the least they could do is add window blinds.

  • Andraecus D.
  • Verified HomeBuyer
  • December 28, 2021
  • San Antonio, TX

For +200k the least they could do is add window blinds. Water softener as well but mainly window blinds. Also most homes have two sided sinks to wash and rinse. Nor just one. We still haven't had our AC aligned as promised. Workers getting attitudes with one another about who's in charge. So it took a while to get a part of our home repaired and as stated, AC still doesn't blow to entire part of the house. Ants the first night. Everyone got bit. So many we had to get a hotel and hire someone to come spray. Information giving out EVERYONE. Salea people showing up even at night.

Lennar responded:
Hi Andraecus, thank you for sharing your review. We want to apologize for any disappointment you have with the finishes in your new home. Additionally, we are very disappointed to hear about you needing to spend time in a hotel so early in your home ownership. After this experience with Lennar I would not choose this builder again nor recommend it to another person. I love the neighborhood and the area, but the overall quality of my home and the overall experience has been terrible. It all started with the sales person and then to construction. The only easy part was with finance. I have been here since August 2021 and I am still dealing with work tickets on incomplete or damage items within the home. If more time was spent on workmanship of the home then I would definitely not feel this way. The two CCR people have been nice and friendly, but they ...

The worst builder I've ever heard of. They destroyed the curb leading into my driveway during pre-construction; then tried to hide/repair it. Epoxied over exposed rusting rebar. Left exposed rusting protruding rebar for publics benefit after waived inspection. Failed to properly bring up to code. Left exposed live wiring after waived final inspection. They try and hide their mistakes. Failed on multiple promises in their brochure: Only partial brushed nickel hardware on doors, only partial rounded corners, no radiant barrier roof decking! I question their energy star rating (might be on ...

The building staff will ask you to give a great review because their jobs are on the line. I felt sorry for them. Also, they sell your mortgage as soon as the ink dries on your contract. The new company hasn’t paid taxes or HOA fees. My advice: don’t do it
